A late Saturday morning led us to Atomic Bagel. Wow! This is the best bagel I've ever had and I've had a LOT of bagels. First time I ever hit a bagel shop - i always get a simple one- everything bagel toasted with plain Cream cheese. THIs was SO good! We will be back tomorrow before we leave town. Amazing bagels to get your day started! I wish I could remember what I ordered but it had fresh veggies like pickled carrots, cucumbers, micro-greens, tomatoes, red onions and cream cheese on top of a jalapeno bagel. Hannah has opened another bomb business. These bagels are fantastic - and not just "best you can get on the peninsula" good. They would be fan favorites in any city. She already made delicious mini donuts at electric cloud. Now, to get your hands on the special cookies that appear, you have to arrive before 9 AM. The bagels are usually pretty standard to the typical menu, but the cream cheese changes week to week, depending on what is in season. Check the Atomic Bagel instagram on Friday evenings for a post about this week's flavors. Don't be deterred by a line out the door. It's a small shop and the line moves quickly. Highly recommend as a must try on any weekend trip to Port Angeles! read more

Finally remembered to come check this bagel shop out on Sunday! They are only opened on Sundays...for now. It's a small location and not a lot of room for people inside, more just to be able to order and stand/sit and wait. They have an assortment of bagel flavors and I got their hatch cheddar, so cheddar on top of the bagel mixed with hatch green chili peppers. I got mine with their smoked salmon cream cheese and it was delicious! They warmed it up and even cut the cheddar bagel I also ordered with nothing in it. Not sure the feasibility of having the peppers throughout the dough, but might be a good option? I appreciated that they put a generous amount of cream cheese spread on the bagel! It was delicious! Definitely would recommend getting their earlier to when they open at 8am. By the time I got there around 10:15am, they were out of the blackberry and honey cream cheese and were waiting on cooking a few bagel flavors. I'd love to come back and try some more flavors and hopefully they might add a fruit bagel, like the classic blueberry! read more

Finally made it in to the famous Atomic Bagels in the heart of Port Angeles, the other Angeles of my heart. Got the Hatch Cheddar with Porcini sea salt cream cheese and capers Add-on for .50. Their bagels are all fresh, hand tossed, and boiled which is amazing. Got here about 11 and all the Plain and Jalapeño cheddar bagels were sold out. Upon first bite, the bagel itself was the perfect amount of chewy and crisp while the porcini cream cheese was rich, cheesy, and creamy with the right burst of brightness from my baby capers. Will definitely be checking on times to get out here again. Do NOT SLEEP on these muchieworthy bagels. Service is excellent and top notch. Ambiance is casual hipster retro vibes. read more

I popped into Atomic Bagels to look at options for my family and friends as I am gluten intolerant. Winds up that Atomic bagels uses a starter, no yeast, and ferments for 18 hours, so I can totally eat and enjoy their bagels. Kinda amazing! Nearly perfect! Had the cheddar hatch bagel fresh out of the oven when they just opened. Plain to try their recipe first so I could write a review. Only issues were no seating and a bit spicy. I love, love, love heat and am usually okay with it, but with no cc to cut the heat it left my mouth on FIRE! Great service, and would recommend getting seating to improve the ambiance. read more

The plain bagels were fresh with a pleasant flavor. Having grown up on New Jersey bagels, I found them a bit more chewy than I'm used to--but a light toasting brought out a texture more to my liking. The berry orange blossom cream cheese was excellent, and a tasty complement to the bagel. The vibe is welcoming, and the service is friendly. I absolutely love these bagels! It's become our weekend tradition. Each week there's a new sweet and savory cream cheese in addition to regular flavors. Some of our favorite bagel flavors are the everything, hatch green chili and sea salt. Favorite smears are the bacon scallion and blackberry jalapeño but honestly everything is delicious. We always bring our out of town visitors including friends from New York and Colorado and they all rave about the bagels. I want to give this place 5 stars because I LOVE bagels, and am excited there's a new bagel shop in town. However don't go in expecting an east coast chewy heavenly bagel. These bagels are a lot more 'bread-y' than a true bagel should be. Again still was delicious, had an everything bagel with the sun dried tomato cream cheese. Just not a true bagel. The Everything bagels I got last week were some of the best I've ever had. Not only are they generous with the topping, the mix of spices is fantastic. No, they aren't true New York bagels, but they are as good or better than many well known bagel stores in Seattle and certainly better than anything in the grocery stores.
