Great experience at Atomic last weekend. I had been wanting to redo some love piercings and get a new stacked one for a while and decided now is the time to pull the trigger. I didn't make an appt in advance - in case I changed my mind - but got there as they opened on Sunday morning. I was met by the check in team and went through some of questions while we waited for the piercing expert for the day - Avery - to arrive. Avery came in and spent a lot of time with me talking through all my questions and helping guide my final decisions. It's been a decade since my last piercing (and that one didn't go well, ending with my jewelry getting absorbed and a visit to an ENT doc to get it removed. Ouch indeed) and another decade and a half before that one so while I've been through it, time makes memories fuzzy. In any case, Avery really took the time to help me feel good about my decisions. Popped into the chair and everything was done within another 20-30 minutes. The prices for the piercing and jewelry felt extremely fair so $200 for three piercings, two new pieces of jewelry, another jewelry change for the tragus I've had since I was 19 and some saline spray and I was on my way. So far, so good. If you're going to go through the effort, you have to commit to the aftercare and luckily I'm good once I get a rhythm going. I'm going to wait for these to all heal completely - and for after some travel I have planned in the spring - and then I'll probably go back for some more goodies. Claire gave me the rundown of everything I needed to know, took plenty of precaution in cleaning and ensuring I was happy with placement, and was very accomodating to my pain tolerance level and comfort. I went for a tongue piercing and my friend got an eyebrow piercing, the girl at the front desk was super sweet, they take walk-ins for piercings and she got us all set up quickly. I wasn't allowed to have anyone in the back with me during the piercing which had me a little nervous, but my piercer, John was super comforting, quick and was super professional. DO NOT shy from this place just because it is inside a mall. THEY DO WONDERFUL WORK! My best friend and I were not and still not familiar with the Orlando area, but we decided to go to the Florida Mall. We shopped for a little and talked about getting a tattoo in the future. We then looked at the mall map and found Atomic Tattoos. Once we entered, we were greeted by a friendly staff. They informed us about the "Toys for Tats" campaign that they were having. You donate a toy that is $5 or more and get a $20 gift certificate for the shop. It doesn't get any better than that! It doesn't get any better than that! Especially for ladies on a budget, who just spent most of their money at the other stores in the mall. It was destiny for us to have our tattoos done that day. After going to the toy store, which was only 2 minutes away from the shop, we waited just a few minutes for the artist to do our stencils, while we filled out the usual paperwork. Then, it was time. Best friend went first, and it was fast. Our artist, I wish for the life of me that I could remember his name, was very skilled and professional. After my friend was done, even though I didn't care about wiping the seat down (germs? What germs? She is like my sister), he did it anyway for proper protocol and I could not be upset about that. This place is great and the artists are very talented. I've been here three times now - twice for my son and just recently for myself. My artist (I think his name is Eric) exceeded my expectations. I told him that I love my son and dragonflies and that I wanted something clean, simple, and small on my back shoulder. He delivered. The facilities were clean and organized. I flew over from Australia last year and NEEDED a tattoo as a memory. I send a design over email super far in advance and he basically give me my exact drawing but better! It even still had my handwriting on one part of the design. Not mad!! The only real downside is he quoted me for like 2 hours or something even when I told him I did not need that long, and then I was off the bed in 30mins! Now, I get it. I'm a tourist and all that jazz, I KNEW I was being ripped off because I've had massive pieces done back home and tattoos are EXPENSIVE here and I was quoted about triple what I would have paid for the same simple lines design here. But I didn't care, I even left a big tip (I think it was?) knowing if just overpaid because it was my last day of vacation so why not just offload some of my cash and save getting it converted back over. My experience here made me a happy consumer because it was a random last minute decision to get my nose pierced and Stephanie (one of Atomic tattoo's piercers) made it a smooth transaction. They are very clean at this shop and definitely take their time to sterilize the needles. Stephanie verified my previous nose piercing area and made sure the piercing matched up so I wouldn't have any additional scaring. I enjoy piercing shops that take customer's viewpoints into consideration and are flexible yet ensure you get what you want. We were visiting Orlando for my daughter's birthday and decided to surprise her by getting her ear(lobes) pierced. After reading TONS of yelp reviews we decided on Atomic Tattoos in the mall. I called and got the relevant info (you need to get a form notarized for minors to get pierced) and we went. I did a lot of research and decided on a professional piercer over the gun/claire's experience for several reasons (google it!) and I'm so glad we did. She had wanted them pierced for a long time, but was also SO NERVOUS. Charlie (Charlene) was just THE BEST with her - super calm and professional and patient and took so much time with her. She talked her through the whole process and made sure she was 100% comfortable before she did the actual piercing. She was thoughtful and careful with the placement (I was pleasantly surprised at how much thought and attention Charlie put into placement, even though it was just a standard earlobe piercing - it was evident that she takes a lot of pride in her work which is definitely something you want in your piercer!), and the actual piercing went off without a hitch. The piercings have healed BEAUTIFULLY and we're just so happy with the whole experience. Was it more expensive than Claire's or piercing pagoda? Yes, but like most things in life, you get what you pay for, and I'm happy I paid for a trained and skilled professional to place permanent holes in my child's body. Thank you Charlie! read more

Went here and the guy at the front was kinda rude when asking about a septum piercing on a minor (me) and gave weird looks so the customer service is trash, before we went there we did research and saw the website and it said that they can do a piercing on a minor but with parent/legal guardian and consent form and everything but when we went there my brother asked him if they could and he said that he couldn't until i was 16 (i understand some places don't do piercing on minors but that wasn't stated on their website), plus here they said that the septum piercing was $50 but in the shop he said it was $60. read more

Stopped in today without an appoint. The woman at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful. I mean, she didn't have to ask if I could be squeezed in by an artist, but I appreciate that she did! I was introduced to Lia and she was surprisingly actually extremely friendly and helpful, as well, even though I didn't have an appointment and the shop seemed extremely busy! I walked away with two new, little tattoos, in what seemed like the quickest sessions ever! Also, Lia guarantees all of her work for up to a year! She gave me her card and told me to feel free to take her up on her offer to fix anything at any time over the next year, if ever I'm unhappy! At $120 for two small tattoos (there's a $60 minimum), I would say this place is pricey, but 1) I liked that it was conveniently located in the Florida Mall, where I felt completely safe going all by myself, surrounded by lots of people and families, versus somewhere downtown, 2) I felt welcome and comfortable as soon as I walked in, and 3) I don't personally get tattoos all the time! My last tattoo was almost 2 years ago, so I don't mind spending more than a few dollars, especially since any tattoo is going to be there for life and I need mine to be from somewhere I feel comfortable, at the very least! So I gave him a piece I would like to get done and he said yes but then made another tattoo artist do it. Who wasn't as good. Then he scheduled me for another date. Came in later to get it done came ok but he didn't even finish it smh. While I was getting tattooed another guy came out the back room reached in his pocket for his phone and a baggy fell out.
