He was able to capture the softness I was hoping for and didn't try to steer me into something bigger or more elaborate as other artists have done in the past. I love that they are a custom shop and that even though this tattoo is basic, it still felt unique enough. He is true artist and clearly enjoys what he does. I was prepared for pain, especially at the lateral malleolus/ankle bone, but he was so gentle that it barely hurt. I also got a piercing and he was just as friendly and professional for that. He walked us through the process and was very patient and accommodating, helping us with size recommendation and placement, changes to placement if we wanted to see it at a different angle, etc. and then he went to work and it was a breeze! The manager and assistant manager and head of HR wasn't present (I am suspicious that it's all the same guy) but at least there were pictures of him...even in the restroom (iykyk). Just to say I loved all the fun signage in the shop. Thank you again, Andy, for your help and awesome work! An hour and a half in the bitter cold alley later and line hadn't moved. Paid $10 for a notary waiver for a minor child and never got that, or my time back. Not one person in line moved so we eventually left. One very positive thing that came out of this was I met an awesome dude at Monique's about 20 minutes away who was an expert piercer with small a wait time and he took less than five minutes with his professionalism and skill to complete this simple ask.
