Had a gas leak and a certified pluming company could not find the leak and told me to get a HVAC company to check the HVAC because it could be leaking from within. Baileys came out and inspected the unit and could not find the leak either. They then went above and beyond and actually found the leak that the certified gas plumbers could not find. The roofing company that replaced my roof after Hurricane Helene punctured the gas line with a roofing nail. Thanks to Baileys the problem was able to be fixed and I got my heat on just as the winter storm was incoming. Would recommend! read more

I waited about 2 and 1/2 months for a AC technician to come out to do a tune-up and on the morning of received a call that they were not going to be able to come out at all and no reschedule time or date. All because other people were more important than my service call. With no apologies and no sense of caring about doing this to a customer. Horrible way to do business. read more

I called for their special tune up/ maintenance for home AC. I wars scheduled for 6/26. Got a call today that they cannot honor that date and the next available is September. I asked if they could honor it and they said no. They said I could be put on a list but must schedule the September date. They do not have a list for cancellations. Two years ago both of my AC units went down during the summer in my 1600sqft house. I called around for estimates, all were higher than the previous year, but Bailey's was the only one willing to install quickly. I made sure they understood the need to repair and seal the ductwork because the house has terribly dirty air and so much humidity we run a dehumidifier 24/7. I wanted brand new systems with no more need for air purifiers or dehumidifiers. They installed the units with thermostats that do not operate as asked. A couple weeks in we realize the humidity and dirty air is the same as before AND it cannot cool the air once the temp outside goes over 80. Once it tops 85, it cannot get below 73-75 indoors and it only goes up from there. When the temps reach the upper 90s to 100, it tips over 80 upstairs. I have repeatedly called the company that first summer and the following two years. They say that there is air flow so it's fine and I should not expect cooler temps inside when there is high heat outside. I was told I should not expect lower than 74-75 when it is over 85 outside. I am considering a lawyer at this point as they charged my $10,000 per unit. Yes, $20,000 and I cannot cool my small house. read more

Hunter Lavin, was the first technician to come and do a test to find out the problem with the up stairs and down stairs unit. He explained each step by step for what the problem was while explaining so I could understand everything. If you need duct repairs or anything that isn't just buying a brand new unit, you're a waste of their time. The tech walked through the door talking with a very "I'm NOT trying to sell you anything (which means I am)" tone, man-splaining things (and that's my husband's opinion). He spent an hour flipping through 3 big binders of mostly unnecessary information, we don't need to see copies of business licenses and photos of employees and past customers. I'll give him some credit, we did learn some important things for when we do eventually replace our unit, which we are grateful for. However, when he found out we weren't going to replace our unit, we just needed our ductwork repaired, he was clearly no longer interested in sticking around, didn't even look at the ductwork. We've been using baileys for the past 2 years almost religiously. Unfortunately, when we bought our home our HVAC was already 11 years old and on its last leg. We've been having Baileys out for tune-ups and repairs 2-3 times each year and we were hoping to get it through one more summer but ended up having to replace it a few weeks ago. Baileys was slightly more expensive than competitors but they have earned our trust over the past few years and their warranty was what kept us with them. Had the misfortune of using these guys because of our home warranty. Technician recommended getting a new unit rather than repairing ours. They contacted our warranty company and told them it only had minor issues the warranty would not cover. Our warranty company said this company would contact us with pricing. Conveniently they call offering a discounted rate on a new unit. Don't trust the con artists. They just want your money and are will to commit insurance fraud to get it. Edit to respond: The technician told us the unit was empty of Freon and needed a coil to address the leak. They then told my warranty company it needed Schrader valves and was three pounds low on Freon. So if it was honestly a simple fix why would you call us and offer a discounted rate on a unit. Bailey's has helped us out quite a bit. We had them install appliances in our new home, repair appliances in our old home. They were a huge help this summer when our AC went out. We were dealing with the home warranty company, and they were patient and forthcoming with all the information they had, when I called. ( I went with out A/C in the 90+ heat for 3 weeks. I called because water was dripping in my unit and I believe the pipe was clogged up. They checked out the problem and In 15 minutes the problem was you need a new compressor that will cost $ 4400. The tech. told my wife your best bet is to buy a new AC. I only called for the clog pipe !!!! Charged my wife $98 for some BS.....crooks read more

I signed up for Yelp just so I could write this review. First off, the charge to fix our still somewhat new washer was 280$. Okay, so, 200$ for the transmission to be fixed, and an 80$ service fee. Seems steep, but still not as much as a new washer. So after they "fixed" it, we realize that there is still an issue with the washer. We call them to come back out. The technician comes back out and tell us "oh by the way there is one more part that needs to be fixed." It's another hundred bucks. So we call the office to see what we can do, and the woman tells us that they will come out and fix it, free of charge, because we're on the fourth service call for the same issue. The technician comes out, asks for the money, and we tell him what the office had said. They call us two hours later asking for money for the part. So now we're looking at almost FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix a used washer. You realize I could buy a BRAND NEW WASHER with warranty and all the good stuff for that much? I have never been taken advantage of like that before in my life by a company. I am fortunate that I work on Fort Gordon and have a LOT of face time with many soldiers and their families, because I am going to make dang sure I spread the word about this crook company that allows this to happen. If they had been forthcoming after an 80$ service charge, and I had bought a new washer I would have been fine with that. But they had to take it this far, and now I am out nearly 400$, and still have my semi-broken washer. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!! read more

BEWARE; I contacted Baileys to check my system because it was not working properly, blowing cold air 2 years ago, they wanted to charge me 400 plus to replace the control board. I declined the offer. It worked for the next two year, I began to have the same problem, I was willing to pay the 400 plus this time to get problem corrected, well they were going to charge me 900 plus this time, and tried to sell me a new system, I paid the 98 dollar service charge and contacted an independent HVAC. He checked system and informed that the wires were loosened and when the system ran the wires eventually came undetached. (Baileys is the only HVAC that worked on my system). The independent service tightened the wires and changed the ignitor and now my systems works without a problem. I paid the 70 dollar service charge and my system is working great. I would recommend you get a second opinion before you start shelling out the big bucks! read more

Agree with others as they are extremely overpriced! Would add they try to get you to take off negative reviews so whatever their score here deduct even more. We had an issue with our HVAC unit. They came out, looked at the unit, said they had a lot of work that had to be done so they charged a ton. They were done in less than 90 minutes and didn't use any parts. Upon questioning they said their tech was just really experienced and the job usually took longer, but they weren't price gouging. 1 of 3 of those statements is likely true which is the job should have took longer, because about a month later I needed more work done on the unit. The tech hadn't even taken the time to do a full functions check of the unit despite being super experienced and getting finished way sooner than normal. Probably the worst part of all of this was talking to the customer experience guy Mark afterwards who was extremely rude. As for the owner's response I want to state it wasn't a full refund of my work, but the extra work I had to get after the fact within the one month period. Furthermore, the reason I denied their offer is because the Customer service rep was so rude and condescending. Also, they wanted me to take the review down. I decided it wasn't worth over $150 to keep the review. Please stay away as even when offering you money they are so terrible you will want to just walk away. read more

I would give this company a zero too! The technician was here five minutes, which cost me $80.00, and did not fix the problem. He told me how to disconnect the dryer, take it apart, clean it, and put it back together. I called to complain and was told that they only diagnose problems (for $80.00) and if I wanted it fixed it would cost an additional $90.00. However, the technician never offered me this option. Wish there was a 0 Star rating. This is the biggest case of fraud estimate that I have ever seen in person. First of all I want you to know that I have never written one of these before but I decided that if I write this I might be able to protect an elderly couple or someone that just can't afford this to happen to them. You need to avoid this company if possible but if you are like me, they was sent to you via the largest home warranty company in the United States. Let start by how I needed the service. I have a secondary AC unit that was no longer blowing cold air, so I gave them a call they dispatched them to my house the next day. I was at work and, so I had someone else meet them for this nightmare. I had them take note of what they was using to check my unit. Ask questions and what not. Well here is what the estimate included, a list of parts that the Warranty covered and a list that they did not. To the untrained eye, they would appear to be normal parts and fees. But the problem with the list is, I am NOT the untrained Eye. I did HVAC for 10 years of my life. So I knew just by reading them they was trying to rip me off. Example of a couple of the charges. There is way more then the two here but these are enough to show abuse and fraud. 1. $450 + labor for a drip pan, yep a DRIP PAN. To the untrained eye, no part number listed? This is a huge No No... Get part numbers for everything and cross reference them with another local HVAC company. They will give you retail cost of parts with no issue. By the way, the drip pan wasn't bad and to buy a retail one from any other HVAC shop, it was only $50.00 to $100. can you believe that? WOW.... FRAUD, THIEVES and whatever other word you can find. 2. 7 LBS of Freon plus labor at $60 a LB - Going rate for this area is $40 a LB. My cost, if I bought it myself with my EPA certification. $10 a lb. To the untrained eye, that is no big deal. The huge fraud here is 7lbs needed for a 52 OZ. system, that is right, less then 4lb's, even if they throw in another LB for the line to the evaporator, you are still talking about less then 5lbs at $60 a lb. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD..... It is still not right but I did find out why they do this, from another local HVAC shop that was asked to do warranty work for the same home warranty company. It is so they get paid today. The home warranty company takes weeks and even months to pay them for there service, so they want there money now. I did read another complaint on here that proved this company will charge you for stuff and not even replace your old stuff. Please beware of this companies practice. The above numbers are a low estimate only, because I do not have my written estimate in front me but they are extremely close to what was written on the copy of the estimate, I wrote them low because if they want me to post a copy of the estimate I will. I paid a $100 for this lesson because it was the home warranty co-pay or whatever they call it. I hope you do not. read more
