Me and my brother walked in, ordered a game day special. Absolutely amazing chicken. It was fresh, and nothing really to complain about.

It's near a clothing store that I try to visit whenever I'm in the city, but sometimes getting over there is tricky, haha. It's a commitment because it's in the opposite direction from where most other things I visit are. Well I can say is that this is a gem hidden in plain sight. And what I have observed as a heavy Latino neighborhood is this Korean stand that has some outstanding Korean fried chicken. I thought I was just going to get some wings and call it a day, but I ended up going with a sandwich instead. There were a few options, and I decided to do the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich. It's set up to be a to-go scenario, with just four stools and very little table space. But it was raining so hard, so I decided to put my umbrella down and hang out while waiting. The Chef is very friendly and I enjoyed him sharing how he came to establish the stand and his time in the restaurant industry. It was maybe about 10 to 15 minutes before my food was ready, and it was packaged quite nicely. It was tucked in a bag ready for me to hit the train and get it home safely, but I decide to unpackage everything and eat it at one of the empty stools. The sandwich came in a small to go container that was stapled, which is a nice touch. The sandwich also had an option to come with fries, or sweet potato fries for an extra charge. Either one comes with what the chef calls smoky ketchup, and I was eager to try. I got the sweet potato fries came in a separate container and the ketchup was literally taped to the top of it so nothing could happen to it. I loved that. I had to try the chicken on its own first, and I was immediately wowed by the crunch and crispiness of the texture, and don't get me started on the flavor. I don't think I have ever had Korean fried chicken that also had corn flakes to add to the texture. But then once I had all the elements of the sandwich together, including the slaw, aioli, etc., I was quite satisfied. Now, the bun was smaller than the chicken piece, but luckily it didn't all fall into an insane mess. The sweet potato fries were piping hot and seasoned so well, they didn't even need the Smoky ketchup. But the smoky ketchup was an experience on its own too. I was not expecting to come to this little stand and have an elevated sandwich and french fry experience. Looks like they've been around for about a year now, and I wish Chef Sung Park continued success. If I lived in the area, I would do my best to stop by at least on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. I need to figure out what I'm going to try next time.

The owner Chef Park manages his small business serving crispy Korean fried chicken!…read more I tried the fried chicken sandwich and some pieces of chicken of each marinade: soy garlic and the hot & sweet. The fried chicken sandwich is SUPER crispy because of the corn flake-based breading Chef uses. Really great flavor and crunch. The chicken portion is generous to the point where a lot of the chicken meat is sticking out of the bun. Chef Park, who takes orders and talks to his customers via the small window that opens to the sidewalk, is very open to feedback as well as sharing about his background and cooking methods/decisions for Lucky Chix's menu. He shared how some of his sauces include 12 or more ingredients to give it so much flavor!! There are a few seats in the front of the small shop. I recommend eating the chicken as fresh as possible, so you can eat a quick bite at the ledge on-site or do takeout/delivery

At 9:00 when everything else was closing they were still open and happy to serve me. The coin purses at this place being sold are nuts and funny. If you like Asian toys and knick knacks and you are in the area you might want to pop in and look. I figured I would just sit in my car even though there is seating inside and eat my food. I grabbed a fry and it was really like what I needed. It was not just some bland strugglish potato. It was a salty fried tasty gift from the heavens. If they taste this great sober, those of you who are drinking will probably appreciate them. Though I wanted fish, I decided to get wings. There were plenty of sauce options but I decided to just go with medium sauce. I ordered a soda and the nice woman who helped me made sure that I didn't walk out without it. She also asked me if I wanted some of those crazy coin purses and I decided to buy two for $5. Overall I think I spent $19. I got six buffalo wings fries and a soda for 13 something. I got two coin purses for $5. The wings were tasty but the fries were so good but I just focused on them like a guy would focus on someone's friend because he's a douchebag. I definitely did not expect to have this kind of good experience at this place and I am happy that I stopped in.

Some sort of sweet glaze blended within the lemon pepper seasoning delicious. Also enjoyed the ranch dipping sauce which tasted homemade. The blue cheese was also great with a sharp taste. Burger was delicious! Every aspect complimented eachother. Normally I don't like American cheese on my burger but it worked on this one. Sauce and onions were perfection. The pickles were also great too. The pickles reminded me of a Japanese style appetizer I can't remeber the name of Delicious sweet potato fries and dipping sauce. The sauce Reminded me of a bang bang shrimp type dipping sauce. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Felt like they worked as a team. Bummed I didn't take more pictures, because all of the food was delicious!

Very low key and unassuming, especially at night... I ordered the Seneca burger (a smash burger), and added bacon. It was good, but $12 for a smash burger feels a bit steep. Good... but not $12 good. I also got the sweet potato fries, which were delicious and crispy. It came with a horseradish(?) dipping sauce that worked surprisingly well. They also had some interesting cocktail options. I'd come back for brunch or an early dinner to try more from the menu.

I'm usually more of a smash burger kind of guy, but the steakhouse style burger was quite flavorful. My only complaint about the burger is that it had no sauce or condiments at all on it. The bacon mac and cheese was also quite nice. The bad: It was pretty overheated in the restaurant, and really humid. The only thing in the restaurant to help with the heat was one big fan at the back. Unfortunately, it was blowing directly on one table of guests back there, and not really doing much for the rest of the people in the restaurant.

Being someone who fancies a good burger on occasion, I decided to check it out, and was not disappointed. On Tuesdays they offer a $20 burger and beer special. The burger was flavorful, and cooked to a perfect medium rare as I asked. If I had a small gripe, I would have preferred fries to chips on the side, but the chips were pretty good. The overall atmosphere here was cool. I'm not a horror enthusiast by any stretch, but the decor was unique and made for an experience that you don't get at many other places. The bartender (Ellie?) was very nice, and made me feel welcome, which some bars don't often do for first time customers. I'll be back in the not too distant future.
