They assured me over the phone TWICE that they did buy bulk (spoke with AJ, Alecia *sp?, and Matthew) which is why I decided to drive all the way to Cypress from Pearland to drop my collection with them. Now it took about a month to get that collection evaluated because it was a huge collection of boxes and binders honestly took up the entire back of my car. Part of the reason it took so long was I think the person said they were sick and that can't be helped I understand. All that time doesn't really mattered what matters is at the end they just offered to buy like the most valuable cards at a lowball offer for what they wanted. (Which I could have literally taken to any shop and sold) Proceeding to tell me they were not interested in the bulk collection WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON I MADE THE TRIP. . I already knew and not driven what round trip twice was almost 4 hours for me. Also when I got there they had taken everything out of the damn sleeves and just had it in a mess in the office and I had to reassemble it all in the lobby which really frustrated me. That is what really bothered me. I packed all my stuff up and took it to another shop that actually did buy bulk and got a much more reasonable offer. They may be a good shop to hang out at and nice people I have no reason to believe otherwise in that regard it seemed like a nice place when I went both times. TL;DR The shop bs'd me about buying bulk so I drove all the way out to their shop and wasted about 4 hours and it took a month for nothing. But a lowball offer on the rarest cards. Would recommend not trying to sell bulk to these folks cause they wasted my time and are likely wasting yours.

Imagine having an event start at 10am, and you connect with the organizer 40 minutes in advance to tell them you'll be there 5-10 minutes before 10, and they say okay. Imagine arriving exactly when you said, and be told "sorry bro we started 10 minutes ago". So I ask for a bye for the first game, and am told "no those are the rules". It's an 8-person local tournament, not the World Team Championship, get over yourselves. Could have just said no up front and save me 90 minutes of driving. If you skip this place, you're not missing a thing.

From past visits, I would describe the customer service at this location as hit or miss, but today was particularly frustrating. While shopping, I noticed a sign at the counter mentioning a birthday month reward. Since my birthday was last month, I asked how customers are notified about the reward. I was told that they do not send emails and that the program is "like Kendra Scott." Unfortunately, that comparison really doesn't hold up. Kendra Scott sends multiple emails and reminders before, during, and even toward the end of your birthday month so customers have an opportunity to actually use their birthday benefits. Those reminders were so helpful that I was able to use two of my three birthday offers with them this year. I explained that I had never been made aware of Round Top Collection's birthday reward and asked if there was any way it could still be honored since my birthday had just passed. I was simply told no. There was no attempt to explain the policy further, offer an alternative, or even make me feel as though my business was valued. Beyond the birthday reward, the overall interaction was disappointing. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful when I asked questions about particular items, and I left feeling like my presence and my business were more of an inconvenience than something appreciated. The birthday reward itself is not what will keep me from returning to this location--the lack of customer service will. After another unfavorable experience at the Cypress location, I will be looking for another Round Top Collection location for future purchases.
