Treat customers like they deserve to be treated not like a criminal when returning items with a receipt within the 90 days. I was returning an item the cashier didn't ring up which was a surprise to me however I was informed that they had to watch cameras to make sure it was there when I bought the frame. They spoke very loudly in front of the customers who were shopping. They could have conducted themselves in more of a modest manner instead continuing to say oh it's not you we need to verify well it sure felt like I was be accused of stealing. I waiting for over 20 minutes being humiliated and accused until they finally said oh she didn't ring up 2. No apology no thank you nothing except here's your receipt. I will never show up there again and I will tell everybody that I speak to you the way I was treated and I had a receipt. Can you imagine how they treat somebody without a receipt? read more

I'm no stranger to Hobby Lobby, but one of my favorite times to go is post holidays. They typically have discounted items throughout the store, and best of all, no crowd! I stopped in to grab ribbon and a few pieces of wood, but I saw a few decor items I might be back for. I don't come to this HL normally but I might have to start. This is the largest HL I have ever been too. The store was so organized and tidy. The selection of merchandise was great. I had just what I was looking for and then some. (Of course) Everything I bought was on sale. If you decorate for the holidays this is where you need to be. Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall & Christmas decorations are already out. I saw the cutest whale decoration and I did not buy it last week when it was on sale. Brightly lit and well-organized, I love that you can show them the 40% off any regular item coupon from your phone at the register. A fellow crafter told me that they alternate what goes on 50% sale from week to week, so if you see an item/brand that is not on sale this week, hang tight for next week and it will be advertised for 50% off. I forgot why I hadn't been into Hobby Lobby in awhile.... I seriously want to buy EVERYTHING in the store! The home decorations are so irresistibly cute and walking along the isles of their fabric section gets ideas flowing through my head where I'm tempted to buy so much fabric. Plus their prices are actually a bit better than JoAnn's though they have a lot of different options than them so don't expect to find the same options at both stores. I really enjoyed the woman cutting fabric this past Sunday evening (December 27th)! She was very friendly and nice to talk to. Great store. They have lots of wonderful things - decor, lamps, mirrors, artificial flowers, art, seasonal, fabric, art supplies, cake decorating, stickers, scrapbooking and more. They often have sales, sometimes up to 50 percent off. After the holidays, everything gets marked way down, but they'll even put seasonal items on sale for 40 or 50 percent off before the holidays. You can find out what is on sale by checking their website, or signing up for email notification, which gets sent out on Sunday evenings. They often issue a 40% off one regularly priced item, so it's worth checking their coupons before going shopping.They are closed on Sundays btw. Store employees are always nice and helpful here. For some reason, I don't care for the store manager. He's kind of an unhelpful kiss-ass. That's just my opinion, and I do come here often. I'm pretty sure I get the exact same endorphins going to Hobby Lobby as kids when they go to Toys R Us! I'm dead ass serious too... I discovered my love for crafts during my transition from ATL back to Htown while I was unemployed for a bit. I started making jewelry, working with wood pieces, making decorations for baby showers, and scrapbooking. If I'm not making something, I'm buying decor (year round and seasonal) and there are always good deals to be had! The customer service at this store is OK! Sometimes the lines get backed up and that is really annoying when you see other employees milling around knowing good and well their asses know how to work a register. Their checkout system is hella outdated. I really don't want to leave it up to the cashier to remember what's 50% off or not. The only thing that takes away from how awesome it is is the cashiers. Every time I go in there's only one or two people working. You have to have more than that for a HL this huge!! They have just about anything one could ever need for any crafting project. If you're in need of silk flowers, art supplies, scrapbooking items, ribbon, fabric, picture frames, candles, t-shirts, glitter, baskets, Christmas & most holiday decor this is the place to be! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would have given them 5 stars however, the checkout lines are ALWAYS super duper long, seems they only open three registers at the most with one being a return & exchange register only. I walked into this place to get two prints framed that were gifts. As a guy I have no idea how to do anything that looks "nice, fashionable, modern, etc..." to a home. I would have just stapled them to my wall but my mom (the gifter) told me toget them framed and put up. So I do as they command. I ended up going to IKEA to look for some frames but got lost somewhere between Pots/Pans/Clocks and Sweden. I ended up hitting up this place because its the... lobby, where people with hobbies go.. The guy in the framing section was an experienced guy who had been doing this for over 25 years. I rolled out the prints and he asked me all this stuff that I was really clueless about and he proceeded to lead me through the process like a rabbi to a young boy about to be bar-mitzvahed. He even gave me the framing of the larger print at half price because he knew i was a hobby noob and didnt know framing was so damn expensive. All in all, the people who work here really seem passionate about what they do and are willing and ready to help you with your every home/hobby need, whether it be toy rockets you build in middle school, some fashionable home thing chicks like doing, or to framing your first prints because you dont want your mom to complain that you didnt like the gifts she gave you. read more

I love Hobby Lobby. I am an avid crocheter so I practically live in the yarn department. And I love all the different decor items; like any good Hob-Lobber, my house is crammed full of sweet spring decor, fabulous fall items and don't even get me started on the explosion of Christmas I unleash every year thanks to Hobby Lobby and their 40% coupon on their app. Yes, I love Hobby Lobby. But this store... the people who work there are consistently very zombie-like when dealing with customers. All the eyelids are half drooping, no smiles or "how may I help you"... I ask a question and get just a listless finger point down an aisle and a mumbled "What you're looking for should be there or near there." And then they shuffled away. But then they turn around and start chatting with each other and its all smiles and energy. The cashiers working at the registers move at a snail's pace. I visit this Hobby Lobby location at least one a week and I consider it a high level of interaction if the cashier will make eye contact with me. I frequently see employees in little clusters of twos and threes at the ends of aisles, leaning on push brooms or sitting around open boxes of stock, just chatting away, shooting the breeze. When I say "excuse me, are there any more of the Red Heart Classic Cream skeins in the back?" they look at me and scowl like I just punched their kitty. They will answer my question, but somehow I walk away from the interaction feeling like a naughty child for daring to ask a question. I wish there was a friendlier location near to my house. I love all the products within the Hobby Lobby's walls... I just wish the people working there would be a little happier that I'm there. Or at least fake it and be nice to me standing there with my cart piled high. read more

Decent selection of items, if you can find them. That's always my biggest problem here. I use to go here in search for yarn - which was easy enough to find if you just walked into the fabric area. This time I went in search of some tools for stamp carving. I had to go down almost every craft aisle to find them. Then I made the stupid assumption that stamp ink would be with the stamp carving supplies - nope. There is ink there for printing onto shirts, but not for paper stamping. I had to go back to the scrap booking area for water-soluble inks. The one positive is that they had the empty ink pads in the scrap booking section so you could buy your ink elsewhere if you desire. I couldn't find that at the Michael's I went to (but maybe they were just out). I just wish this place would do a bit more to let you know how things are organized in the art/craft section. I went down 3 or 4 aisles I would assume would contain tracing paper and couldn't find it anywhere. And there were few employees around as well. I also wish they were open Sunday, but that's just a "first world problem" really. read more

Zipped in with a large piece of art in a floating glass frame, unfortunately the art had stopped floating. The framer wedged something metal in the frame and fixed the problem. Appreciated his help and the easy fix. The $5 charge a bargain, the 35 minute wait in check out, not a bargain, behind a screaming child, poor parenting skills or mismanagement of the staff, hmmmm FYI buggies all over the parking lot, someone please go out and bring them back inside. Even a person doing their one act of random kindness for the day could help the store and roll a buggy into the front door. read more

So, I love drawing logos. With Prismacolors pencils. And, as weird as this sounds, I have Tourette's Syndrome. So, when my Tourette's made me brake a pencil that costed 2.00 dollars, the cashier told me "Okay. That's cool. But you're going to have to pay $30 for this.... Just kidding, you're good. You don't have to pay a thing." We both laughed and then she tossed the broken pencil in the trash, and told us about the whole 40% off deal, which saved us $80. Yup, she was nice. Hobby Lobby is an awesome store! Great decor, an array of choices and hobbies. I love the content but hate the staff. The lines are always long and the cashiers are incredibly slow and have no personality. The manager is the worst. All she does is stand by the front door and chit chats w/ the cashiers. Even if there are lines stretching into the aisles, she won't put in any elbow grease. The staff is rarely friendly and when you ask them a question, it's if you're bothering them. I love, love, LOVE, Hobby Lobby! I'd say that at least half of my house is furnished with decorations from here. They have sales every week that alternate. For example, framing might be 50% off this week. Next week it won't be... BUT the week after that framing will be 50% off again. They also have a very convenient smart phone app. The app shows you what's on sale for the week. It also has a 40% off a single item coupon. The only thing I don't like about Hobby Lobby (and it seems to be a trend at all locations) is that they don't have enough people working the registers. Hobby Lobby customer for almost 20 years. Ordered photo mats. They were the wrong size. Was told they would re-cut them. And to please show up the next morning. Showed up the next morning and somehow my order had mysteriously disappeared. So I ordered them again. Showed up that afternoon (3rd trip) and no mats ... nothing was ready. So I told them that I would wait for them to cut the mats... Since I didn't want to make a fourth trip. In the interim, I purchased an item with the 40% coupon as a holiday auction donation. I put that item in my car and went back in to check on my mats... And they were ready. When I asked if I could use a 40% coupon on the mats, I was told no but I could use it on something else. So went back to get another item that I could donate for the holiday auction. Came back with that item... And I was then asked ... did you check out earlier with a 40% coupon? To which I replied yes. I purchased an item while I was waiting for the 4th time for my mats to be cut. I was then told, I could only use one 40% coupon per day. To which I replied... Well I understand that but I've made three fruitless trips to pick up mats that were ordered in the past three days without purchasing anything else so don't you think you owe me a second 40% off item due to the number of trips that I've made because of hobby lobby errors? I was told no. So I left the second donation item there and purchased my mats. I then attempted to call the manager... and after being on hold for 12 minutes I hung up. So I invested 66 miles of travel there and back in addition to the travel time as well as an extra 45 minutes for me to wait for them to correctly cut mats... And I can't get an extra 40% off a $69 item for a charity auction? Just annoyed. read more

Tried to return a box of 6 mason jars that I had previously bought at the Hobby Lobby on I-10 and beltway 8 less than two weeks earlier. It was for only 7.99$ and I had the receipt. However, the manager said that she could not find the item in her store and that they did not sell it there. The receipt that Hobby Lobby gave me only said 'craft' on it instead of the more specific 'mason jar'. That was out of my control, and since Hobby Lobby can't scan items, the manager refused to do the return. Unbelievable that a store won't accept a return for an item in perfect condition, with a receipt, because their receipts aren't specific to the items sold their system can't find it. I buy many things at Hobby Lobby and was going to purchase other items that day. Instead, I left without purchasing them. I will not return to that store or give them any more business. They need a new manager! Horrible customer service! read more
