I set up an appointment with this company for my shop units. I was use to going to Stop Heating &…read moreCooling and was told they had bought them out. I explained that I had an air conditioner/hearting unit that needed help. I explained that the unit was smelling of vinegar and moldy smell. I explained that the unit was cooling but that it was extremely hot to the touch outside. I was told that it was most likely a valve that was plugged and that they could come out and fix that and clean the unit. I set up my appointment for 3:00. The next day I called and asked if I could have both units cleaned so I would be set for winter. I again explained that these were hear and air units AND gave them the name of the unit I had in my shop. I was told they could do that. They did ask if they could back the appointment up to 1:30 and I agreed. On that day I get a call at 11:50 that Mr. Michael Gaughan is on their way. I race over there and open up my shop. I am waiting for 20 minutes so I call to make sure they did not come early and leave. The person on the phone tells me they are still on their way. Ten minutes later I get a call from Mr. Gaughan from his vehicle asking me if I am there even though he parked right in front of the shop and could clearly see me inside the building. He walked in and I proceeded to show him where the units where and what was happening. He cut off my sentence by wanting to see where they were in back. We walked around the building and he looks at the one unit and asks me if the unit is working and I said yes, but it is running really hot. I told him that the company thought it was something plugged. He then asks me if water comes out of the unit. I said I did not know for sure because se there has been no water coming out of it. He then asks me why I would think water would be coming out and I said because the condensation has to go somewhere and its clearly standing water inside. He then asks me where the water is. And I have no idea what he is talking about. And he said well the water to hook up a hose. And I said, we do not have water back here. It is in front of the building. Is this so you can clean the unit or what because your company never said anything about this. So he then starts walking the opposite way of where we came in. Not to look at the other unit but just walks away from me. I ask him what he is doing and that there are no water outlets over there. He proceeds to tell me that he is nosy and he just likes to nose around and see what's going on. I tell him that where the trash is and it's easier to get back the way we came. On the way back I show him where the water hoses are and he complains that his hose may not go back that far. Back in the shop, he then turns to me and asks me what he wants me to do? Does he want me to take the unit out? Does he want me to take all the insulation out? How the heck do I know? I called his company and they told me they would clean the unit and fix the draining issue. They never asked me any questions. So finally I ask him if he has ever seen a unit like this. And he tells me he only works on big units and split units. I ask him if he knows what to do because if he is not comfortable doing this I cannot afford to have him mess it up and need a new unit. And he still has never even looked at the other unit. So then He starts complaining about how he would have to do this and I have now lost confidence in this guy. So I call his company back and tell them that this guy is not sure how to proceed and could you talk to him. I am now in business mode voice stating that I told you everything when I made the appointment and now I have someone who I am worried is going to screw things up worse. So I give Mr. Gaughan my phone and they discuss it. He hands the phone back to me and the they tell me that he knows what to do and it will be okay. I again reiterate that if he does not feel confident doing this I cannot afford to buy another AC. So I get off the phone and say you are good to go. But by that time Mr. Gaughan has developed an attitude. He takes two steps and gives me the stink eye. Takes two more steps and gives me the stink eye. He then takes out the filter to the AC which is clean and then shoves it back into the unit. He tries to pull the front plate off of the unit and cannot and clearly does not know what he is doing. I then say to him; I do not understand what is the attitude here. Look, if I am not confident in my job, I let the client know so they do not walk out unhappy. Do you feel comfortable in what you are doing? He turns to me glaring. I am looking back at me and he starts walking past the door and takes two steps and says angrily Competent and then walks some more and says competent. And I say back to him, I have no idea what is going on here or what you mean by this. He then walks around his truck and stands there doing nothing and then he walks over to the other side

The Plumbers at Collet & Ano - Stay Away!…read more We started to have an issue with a strong smell coming from a toilet area. So, we began a search in the Antioch area for a great plumber. We went thru an Internet search and found Colett & Ano Plumbers in Antioch. So, impressed by their 5-star reviews (who wrote them?) and that they were veterans, I called and set an appointment to have them come and look at the toilet. One plumber came and my wife had ACTUALLY to stop him at the door, as he showed no inclination to take off his boots or put on water-proof booties. STRIKE #1 (not professional). It was concluded that the toilet needed a new wax ring (actually needed to double packed (two) wax rings), which he did and then left. Well, later that afternoon, I went and checked on the toilet area and there was water everywhere on the floor! I immediately called the office and talked to a manger/owner and he said he didn't have anyone available to come over because they had a bigger job in town. STRIKE #2 (Small customers come ...second). So, they called back and we set a time for them to come in at 9:00 the next morning. I turned off the water to the toilet because a small, but, steady stream of water was dripping and spraying and covering the floor and then wiped up the water. Well, the next morning, they called at 9:30 saying someone was on the way and was about :30-:45 minutes away. STRIKE #3 (Not on-time and didn't respect our time). As I looked at the toilet before they arrived, I noticed that the previous plumber had cracked a tile right behind the toilet (my wife noticed it, too), which I mentioned to the TWO plumbers who showed up to fix the leaking-water-issue. STRIKE #4 (they are going to fix the tile, right?) AGAIN, my wife had to stop them from walking thru the house with their boots on. STRIKE #5.... (I have never had ANYONE who was providing service to any of the homes I have owned to not take off their shoes or put booties on before entering the home). So, they came up and looked at the toilet and saw that somewhere during the process of the FIRST plumber "fixing the problem", the screw-gaskets that connected the water tank to the toilet bowl had become loosened and water was leaking and spraying everywhere. (How did the first plumper not see this?) So, they re-tightened them and packed up their single screw-driver. I also reminded them about the cracked tile and wanted to hear from their manager as to how he was going to fix that. STRIKE #6. So, they left and we NEVER heard back from them until we got a copy of the bill. No "courtesy call to check an see if we were happy with the work and to address the cracked tile". On the bill, the manager implied that the tile was ALREADY cracked and that he was going to believe his "valued and trusted" employee's story and not fix the tile. In turn, he insulted me and my wife and implied that "...that was that...case closed" (Basically, trying to blow us off. How VERY professional) . DOUBLE STRIKE #7. We are senior citizens and on fixed incomes and the fact that the management of this company was not willing to side with a NEW customer and offer to fix the issue was pathetic and totally un-professional. STRIKE #8. On top of all of this, after it happened, the original issue of the strong smell in the toilet has NOT gone away. Yes, you read that right, the smell is still there....and we are out $150.00. So, a word to the wise: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE should you call and hire these un-professionals at Collet & Ano in Antioch because with them, the "customer is not right"....the customer is someone to take advantage of. I ESPECIALLY caution Senior Citizens or hard working people to NOT give these people your money and your business.... they don't back-up their work and only want your money. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY ... from Collett & Ano Plumbing. In the end, they never fixed the problem, we still have a smelly toilet we need to have to fix, we are out $150.00 (a lot of money to a senior citizen) and they left us with a cracked tile behind the toilet. I needed a new comfort height toilet. My current one was quite old and leaking at the floor. And…read morethe flushing mechanism was very corroded and difficult to use. They arrived exactly at the appointment time and had the toilet installed in half an hour. The guys were very polite and answered all my questions. I had also thought I needed a new water heater. Upon inspection I was told I could easily wait several more years before the replacement. I very much appreciate the honesty; I'm sure most other companies would have just gone ahead.
