Where to begin. I guess with management change. As soon as Markie took over as GM things changed for the worst. her and the new nurse Kasha could use a lesson in empathy, how to care for people. Markie was not approachable, tried to introduce her as a 3 year residents daughter one time, she couldn't be bothered and was quite rude. this past year we experienced my mom falling and waiting for 20 minutes for a caregiver to help her, housekeepers serving food due to the shortage of servers, staff members complaining about management to residents, I could go on and on My sister reached out after a 500.00 rent increase per month with no explanation other than cost of living (??!!!) to Kris Waluszko asking questions and expressing concerns. Weeks after original email we got no resolve, no reason for rent increase but now she was in a "premium room" Again no explanation Markie is recruiting new residents with multiple issues so higher rent can be charged, targeting wealthy communities in Summerlin. Hospice residents, causing caregivers to be overworked. My mom's caregiver of almost 4 years yelled at her one day because she was in a hurry. Totally unacceptable. We've moved our mother to a more nurturing, caring facility . Our next step is to contact the state ombudsman. Please shop wisely when placing your loved ones in assisted living. Atria Seville came highly recommended because of the staff engagement and positive feelings of current residents. My parents stayed there for several months, before my dad's condition unfortunately deteriorated and he needed a higher level of care. While they lived there, they enjoyed the terrific food and the friendly employees. Many of the fellow residents are friendly and outgoing, creating a sense of community. Additionally, there are lots of scheduled activities that help the residents feel connected with each other. My father had recently had a partial hip replacement and needed help transferring between bed and his wheelchair, and needed assistance with activities of daily living (bathroom, shower, etc.). The caregivers were wonderful, each going out of their way to make sure my dad's needs were safely met while maintaining his dignity. The nursing staff and the management were also extremely helpful, making sure all of my parents' questions were answered and that they were settling in to their apartment successfully. I stayed with them for a week, and really enjoyed the food and the quiet environment while I was there. As an assisted living community, Atria Seville is among the top contenders for the Las Vegas market. It is comparatively priced, and the services are great. My parents felt very special while they were there. read more

Markie has this corrupt doctor -Dr Danny Sayegh come in to evaluate my father for capacity. Here are some reviews I pulled off the internet. He is not capable of managing his finances or anything else. She will do anything for kick backs and to keep the people living there even tho they belong in a higher acuity of care. I moved my dad from out of state several months ago. Markie helped make everything a smooth transition for him w everything from choosing his room to setting up his cable tv and was always available for questions or to help while he has been transitioning. Jill is a terrific and friendly activities director and their are many activities daily as well as entertainment which dad has been very happy with. The staff and med techs are very friendly and helpful and have been pivotal in helping dad adjust quickly. He also raves about the quality of food available and how the chef is very accomodating. So far our experience has been very positive and I highly recommend this facility! read more

Heads up folks. This is a beautiful place to live yet a bit of fleecing is going on. Each year there is an annual rate increase and this year all residents received a rent increase of 16%. Yes 16%. Before you sign a contract, ask for a history of their rent increases. Let's face it, have any of you rented an apartment with that high of a rent increase? Excellent facility for retirees and senior living. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. There are so many activities to keep everyone social and active. From bingo, a walking club, and even black jack night! Also, besides providing the usual 3 meals the residents have a little market bistro. Which is like a cafeteria where you can get extra cereal, fruit, sandwiches, milk and juices. There is a main dining room area, but there is also a private dining area in case you want your family to have a proper dinner in more private setting. Very nice facility for retirees and senior living, but it is pricey. Pets are allowed, but you pay extra for pet rent. read more

As soon as he was vaccinated and some Covid restrictions lifted, we placed my 93 year old dad at Atria Seville. He lasted 3 weeks before ending up 911 to hospital. He was thrilled with his apartment and the atmosphere. I think it would have been great for him at 73 or even at 83, but at 93, he did not adjust to it. There was zero orientation besides the sales tour the week before move in. He was never shown around or given a "buddy". He was "looked in on" many many times during the day but it was not enough for him. As family, we also didn't receive a handout of "how-tos" or who to call for what. I asked for a higher care plan to provide more escorting and was told I needed to hire from an outside service. He stopped eating (I was never told that) and he started needing help dressing (He told me this, they didn't). This never happened prior to moving in. He was going downhill quickly but when I asked management I was told people his age need time to adjust and he seemed to be getting around just fine. Anyway, he ended up falling 3 times (not appearing to be hurt seriously) but he had actually incurred a brain injury. All of this could have happened anywhere. I don't blame them except that I do feel that more orientation for all involved, including communication between the families and the care team could have avoided a lot of this. I had no idea that the care he was going to receive would be "pop in and say "hi, need anything?" to a man with a severe hearing loss. Its a shame, we really think it's a nice place but it's for people who are more independent and maybe only need med management. read more

Now that we have toured multiple times, tasted the food (a French, classically trained Chef runs the kitchen!) and loved the Respite Care, this is a solid 4.5 review. I've bumped it up for two very important reasons: it really does feel more like a hotel/condo community than Assisted Living; the staff is absolutely caring and involved; the grounds are beautiful and seem more a part of our enviable Parks System than belonging to any healthcare facility. Bibliophiles will swoon over the Library offerings. For Caregivers, I cannot stress enough how incredible the Respite program is for all involved. Your loved one(s) will be in this beautiful setting, able to order food restaurant style (based on individual dietary restrictions) enjoy leisure activities, even shoot a game of pool. While there is no price you can put on being assured your loved one(s) are being cared for properly, they will explain to you if Insurance will cover the stay. For full time residency, including food, medical care, activities, etc. the price for a single is $2,495 per month (varies on part of facility used, floor plan chosen, and other variables) Again, this is where the very caring staff can help you find out what out-of-pocket expenses you can expect. In my book, there is no substitute for the peace of mind that comes from knowing loved ones are safe. And of course, medical and ancillary staff are on call/on property 24/7. There is the option to switch from the "Active Living" section to Memory Care and beyond. Spouses can stay together if they choose. This is a secure facility: nobody gets in or out without signing in, showing identification and the residents are protected since some tend to wander. Very impressed! read more

We had such high hopes for this place but it just didn't cut it. I understand that we were there during difficult times (Covid) but the food they served my mother was dry and you couldn't cut it with a knife. No joke. My mother even went to one of the workers and said, "if you can cut this I'll eat it." And she couldn't. The people were VERY NICE. Really. The atmosphere was GREAT. But they just didn't seem to care enough about the food. Why did everything have to be dry as a bone. It's not that difficult to cook a piece of fish and make it edible. If you have no restrictions on your food intake this is a great place to be. Otherwise, try somewhere else. In the end, I heard that many people were leaving for the same reason. Maybe after Covid is over it will change, but it's doubtful. read more

My mom has been at Atria Seville for almost 2 years. At first it was a huge adjustment for her. She had just lost her husband of 64 years and I had to move her from a place she had lived for over 30 years. At first, she did not adapt very well as she is very shy. The staff made every effort to get her engaged with other residents and with activities. Eventually Mom came out of her shell, made friends and began to enjoy her new home. The staff is also very proactive on spotting and dealing with medical issues and as soon as my mom began to need more care and resources, those were made available to her. I can not say enough about the medical staff, the Med techs, the aides and especially Phyllis Visconte. Recently, my mom has had some serious issues that have resulted in more and more care. Phyllis has been the go-to person from the start and immediately gets the appropriate persons and extra care my mom now needs. I cannot say enough about the staff and the level of care my mom has received and will continue to receive. read more

One of my very best friends lives here and I can't say enough good things about the facility. She is pretty much on her own other than occasional visits from out of town family and the center really takes care of everything, including transportation to the Dr and pharmacy. Every time I've been there, there is some activity going on in the lobby/living room. A sign along or entertainment of some kind. My friend enjoys it here and she has freedom to come and go as she chooses. All in all, it's a great place. Very clean, well decorated and classy. 2 thumbs up. read more

I want to personally thank the staff and residents for remembering and assisting my precious sister Louise Nicks. So many good memories each time I visited there, from the fellowship at the bistro to the beautiful dinining area and great room. Louise loved her last "home", She passed on from this earth to her real home in the peace and mercy of her lord and saviour Jesus Christ on Wed.May 28th. Her legacy was and still is her giving heart and compassion. She was like a rainbow in a cloud to all that she met. 1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. For those who knew her, thank you each and everyone. Her apartment was full of angels, and an angel I'm sure escorted her to the presense of God. She knew her redeemer lives !!! Her prayer for others was that they too would know with confidence, that Jesus is real, His love is beyond understanding as is His peace. It takes a heart that is willing to be willing to say, Jesus be my saviour, forgive me of things that were not right, come into my heart, and receive me as your own....and He will. She did that many years ago, He never left her, dissappointed her, and was faithful to His promise. My mother lived at Atria Seville for 9 months and I cannot recommend this facility, for 3 reasons. First, Atria misrepresents their capabilities. If you go to their website, they emphasize what wonderful memory care they provide. In fact, Atria has no memory care facility anywhere in Nevada. Second, Atria Seville takes in residents with memory care and other physical issues but does not tell you that if your condition deteriorates at all, you will likely be kicked out on 30 days' notice. We informed Atria Seville going in that my mother had memory issues, but they never brought up that possibility. After only 9 months, my mother was asked to leave. The request was triggered by a hallucinatory incident caused by an improper drug dosage. Even though that issue was resolved by adjusting the dosage, she was kicked out any way. Truth is, they do not want anyone who entails significant work or fails to meet their country club image. Third, the way in which the eviction is served is tacky: a notice tacked to your door. And once the notice was served, my mother was continuously told not to leave her room. Atria Seville is not an honest or caring facility nor is it equipped to deal effectively with the common issues of old age such as memory care. read more
