My mom has been here for 11 months and I could honestly say that Pacifica at Spring Valley has truly been a G-d send to my family My mom lost my dad after 55 yrs of a truly blissful marriage and although this devastated our family because of the tremendous loss we were dealing with, Pacifica truly made things somehow okay for Mom.. They treat the patients like they are their family members.. I see it first hand with my own eyes all the time. I'm there a good 5 times a week and when I'm not, my aunts are. We all see how our families are treated here I can start with the smart, beautiful and caring Deanne who made everything quite easy for us with paperwork and made moving easy and still is always there making sure things run smoothly. Priscilla always around helping too. Next I must recognize the extremely kind and caring staff that are taking care of these very dependent people. The med techs are ALL SOOOOO smart and dependable and most of all very caring humans. No joke. They are on top of everything, Christine makes sure of it. The fine people that take care of my mom and the rest of the residents are so so hard working , kind, gentle and patient. There are too many to name and I do not want to leave anybody out. All the front people are sooo nice and welcoming too and the darling, sincere gem named Venessa is the heart and soul of this amazingly ran home for the cognitively impaired. Dementia is so hard, it's a true curse but Pacifica Spring Valley makes life dealable. Love this place!!!!! read more

This place is so a$$ I would put 0 starts if I could they don't care about the residents at all,worked there and seen so many caregivers treat residents like they're not people too specially the philipine old lady named "Cora" one of the residents passed bc she was on her phone while she was feeding this resident,she should've been fired long time ago,if you don't want your love one to pass pls do not bring them here. read more

Staff is very helpful and compassionate but may be a bit understaffed. The room is spacious and the dining rooms and common area is always clean and neat. The activities are well attended by the residents and the activity directors are sweet to residents and family members. This transaction to memory care has been a very stressful experience for my Mom and our family and they are helping us with this emotional journey. read more

I posted that. My mother shouldn't be in this place. Forced against her will, and they responded back. We understand this difficult "transition period!" Total Bulls..t!!!! The elderly are not treated very kindly by this place!!!!! I didn't put my mother. I didn't force my mother against her will. In this horrible place, my sister did and my mom does not deserve to be in this place. She could still take care of herself, in a great many ways. My beautiful mom has slight dementia, but she still quite clearheaded. My mom does not want to be there. But my sister wants to keep her there. I should be able to take care of my mom, where she can be treated right and live in peace, on this Earth. She's 86. She doesn't have a long time left on this Earth. What time she has, i want her to be happy and at peace. This place is a horrible place. They don't treat the elderly properly. It's as if my mom is locked up in prison! Some of the staff are abusive to the elderly in this horrible place! I'm thinking of contacting the local news station, reporting this place of how they are to the elderly!!! read more

Pacifica is the most amazing place. I'm so happy I chose them over the four places I visited. The staff is friendly and super helpful. When I visit, they are so caring and greet everyone. For most families, placement of a loved one at a memory care facility is a difficult decision. Most families have been through a lot by the time it comes to this. It isn't a happy time. That was all certainly true in my Father's case. He had been a smart, loving, happy, ambitious, and adventuresome person until vascular dementia/Parkinson's struck about seven years ago. He recognized us until the end and his sweet spirit never disappeared. But we had a sense he knew and was frustrated by what he was losing. What a heartbreak. After four years of caring for my Dad at home, my Mother agreed it was time to look for another option. My parents, both in their mid-80s, were on a fixed income, so finances were a big issue -- residential memory care isn't cheap. The path ahead was uncertain to say the least. Finding Pacifica and the Medicaid Waiver program was like following a trail of breadcrumbs: one professional led us to the next, and that professional led us to the next, etc. Unfortunately, nothing is written in an easy-to-read how-to guidebook, and every family's journey is different. What a relief it was to find Pacifica, our refuge in the storm. Here's a big shout out to team there: Mr. Trump (the administrator has a wealth of knowledge and shares it generously), Deanne (she is kind and supportive through the admissions process), RN Christine (she is always ready with medical info), Alma (keeping an eye on the books in the business office), Vanessa (the activity director has a smile and a hug for all her residents -- and their families), and Jenny and Aaron up front (they welcome you with a smile). Missing from the list are the med techs and many of the caretakers (including Frances, who one day told me as I was struggling leaving him, "When I am there, you are there"), who do the bed and body work, perhaps the hardest job of all. As to the facility, it is a nicely designed place: Dad liked the central outdoor courtyard, the activity area has the feeling of a little village central square with offices housed in storefronts, there are comfortable lounging areas, and the bedrooms have big windows. It is hard to give this 5-star review because, truth be told, the experience is all mixed up with sadness and loss. And no, everything wasn't always perfect. But above all we are grateful this team and place was there. We believe they did their best to take care of my Dad during the most difficult time of his life. Many thanks. read more

We got to see Vanessa lead trivia and jokes. She was AMAZING. The facility was clean and well decorated. The staff was caring and friendly.

Food program a disaster! Literally had to being food into to my loved one to ensure she had palatable nutritious food. Literally food better at state prisons then this place. Wouldn't feed my dogs the food. No joke, couldn't find anyone that works here that would eat the food themselves, its that bad. Cook left, told be he wouldn't even eat the food, wouldn't give it to his own kids or family. Cook told me the staff, that they only spend $5.70 cents a day to feed residence. Talk about Corporate greed at it worse. Sale staff said as justification "well they have dementia, they dont know, its memory care" more or less. Management doesn't care. Brought this up countless times, pretty much ignored, excuses and or no response. I personally seen countless other families of other residence bring food as well to supplement. Sad. Seen first hand residence not eat and push food away. Residence have next to no options, 1 item, dont like it, oh well, eat a white bread cheap cheese sandwich. I checked the competition, no one else in Las Vegas doing the bare minimum as this place! Their sister location 5-10 minutes away has Chef, options, and dramatically better food. When I brought this up, I got no response, well except "this is memory care". Again, $5.70 cents a day, I wouldn't feed my dogs the food, better food found at county jail then this place. Sad, as Care staff are angels, head Nurse and others hero's. Leadership above them, as I see it, cares more about profits then the poor souls suffering in their care. read more

I recently moved my Mom into this building and I have to say that anyone who can handle her is a saint so I was expecting trouble. Jessica and her staff made it easy. After being all prepared for the move Mom turned weepy and sad, and if it weren't for Jessica I think I would have just left the deposit and taken her home! The food is great, the property is stunning, and did I mention the staff? :D I checked back after the first night and she was still happy, and said she would be VERY busy for the next week. Having visited a couple senior living/care facilities, we decided to try Pacifica Spring Valley. We called and spoke to Christina, who I believe runs the facility. Christina was very pleasant, informative and really stressed we should come by and take a tour. We set an appointment and met her there. She was very friendly and personable, answering all of our questions as we had many. We decided to have Dad placed there and to this day, Christina and her staff are always attentive and caring to our needs. Christina especially, always gives us her undivided attention whenever we call or visit. She, without a doubt, had a huge impact on our decision to place dad at SV Pacifica. You owe it to yourself to visit the facility. It's clean, has a bright and open atmosphere, and the staff are all so nice and friendly!! read more

My mother now lives in this very nice community. The facility is always clean and attended to. The residents are always dressed accordingly and well cared for. The staff keeps in good communication with the family regarding any and all issues. The community had a lot of activities and entertainment planned throughout the day the activities director is wonderful as all the staff I encountered. My grandpa was recently at Pacifica Spring Valley. He had a fall in the middle of the night and was sent to the ER in an ambulance. No one from the facility accompanied him and it was close to 12 hours later that a family member was contacted. They said the Med Tech called the wrong number and left a message. There was no bother to call the next emergency numbers on the list or make any additional effort to get a hold of any family members. We rushed to the ER to find our dad curled up in a fetal position, crying, wrists bound, scared and confused. Pacifica has treated this matter very lightly. It makes me shake to think of what my grandpa went through needlessly in those 12 hours. And for anyone that is familiar with memory loss diseases, traumatic events cause the disease to advance. My grandpa never went back to Pacifica. We moved him from the hospital to another community and he made the transition pretty painlessly. We are at least thankful for that. Pacifica let us know that this was the med techs fault, yet never stepped up to take responsibility themselves or to reach out and be there for our grandpa. read more

Let me just start by saying this has been a scary time for our family as my mom has gone downhill quickly since we learned of her dementia. We had a lovely tour over the weekend with Julie. She was very helpful and kind. We had a chance to meet with the Executive Director, Jessica. She was in socializing with the residents over the weekend. This was kind of strange to me as the other places we toured did not have higher ups in the building. Good for us though, as we got to ask some very personal questions without getting any run around. She answered all of our questions concerning cost and gave us a realistic view on our options with mom. We are new to dementia and what we can do. She even put us in touch with an elder law attorney to help with guardianship stuff. The building was nice and clean. It looks like a little village inside and they were inside listening to someone play the piano. It felt a lot more like home than I thought it would. The staff was friendly and seemed attentive. I tried to see if they were watching me watch them and they seemed to be more concerned with taking care of the people first... which I liked. Most importantly, I felt very comfortable thinking about my mom there surrounded by attentive people. Mom is a little on the tough side and needs a little of that TLC.
