I was looking for someone to transport our car interstate from Bay Area, CA to Phoenix, AZ. When I called the other businesses, they were either asking for an outrageous price or fully booked until 1 1/2 months later. Then one business owner recommends Randy at ATS. He told me Randy is a broker, he has all the connections. He will be a perfect go-to person. When I call Randy, he's courteous & funny! He quoted me over the phone, fairly reasonable; then we agree to move forward. When I was reading other negative reviews about ATS on Yelp, I notice most is about how Randy works. I have to be honest, he might not be the most organized business owner. He's still doing the "old-fashioned" way. He calls! He's on the phone with other truckers arranging for the logistic all the time. I had to constantly follow up with him for the update status. But at the end of the day, he went extra miles to get things done. When you ask him "what if this doesn't work out?" he always has "Plan B" ready. We needed to ship two cars from Sacramento CA to Raleigh NC. I was nervous because of the negativity I encountered in researching the service. Randy helped us again - we had to move our car back from Florida to the SF Bay Area. Although I gave him more than a month to try to schedule it, the fact that we were trying to ship on either January 2nd or 3rd from Florida presented some issues. However, Randy found a transporter to pick up on January 3rd! Our car was just delivered locally, in less than 7 days from Florida. The driver called a few days before delivery and said he would also call the day before and then an hour or so before the actual delivery. It all worked and I can't really ask for more. Scheduling Appointment: I called Randy to inquire regarding my auto transport and he provided me with a quote. He followed up with an email with the same information. Once the forms were completed, he calls for a follow up to inform the auto transportation vendor and delivery window. Shipping Experts was the vendor selected to transport my vehicle. I recieved a phone call from Shipping Experts that shared with me the loading window. From there, the driver, Eric, from Shipping Experts communicated with me. Randy made excuses, was unreliable and undependable. As a service provider he did not manage my expectations properly when I asked if the vehicle could be shipped in a timely manner. He became - as other users have mentioned - unresponsive when it became apparent that he was not able to follow through on his word. I told him that it was advised that my vehicle was priced too low for the time frame I was looking to get my car shipped in, he still refused to change anything or even requote me - which left me without my vehicle and in $400 worth of rental car fees. Contacted Randy since he was recommended to me by another local Transportation Company. Took more then 2 weeks to get the contact information of the car shipping company he contracted with. Assured me my car would be in good hands. My car was picked up on a Tuesday in July. The shipper who picked up my car assured me my car would be delivered at the destination(one State over) on Friday the same week. I then heard nothing back. After repeated texting, was told car would be delivered Saturday, same week. Then received picture of a damaged truck tire and was told this was the reason for the delay. No estimated time of delivery given. On Sunday, received picture of traffic, told another delay. It is now Monday the following week and I have not received my car. I am checking into formal action to explore what recourse I will have. Needless to say, my calls have since then not been answered. read more

Absolute worst experience I've ever had...when I was paying. This outfit was contracted by our moving company to move 3 vehicles, a boat, a pickup and a car. This company subcontracted each vehicle to another company. None showed up on time to pick any of the vehicles up. None delivered within their stated timelines. All were late. We could never get a decent eta. The last vehicle was just delivered, a day after it was scheduled and 830 at night. The driver threatened to not deliver the car because I was not a happy camper. I am convinced that everyone involved with this company is shady at best, but more likely members of some immigrant mob. I wouldn't use this company to move my bicycle across the street. My experience with ATS was not bad. It was not fantastic but it was not bad considering what other car transport brokers are charging his is very reasonable. Yes it takes longer than a direct rout transport but if you want that service you will have to fork out the money to get it. If you are not is a big rush to get your car transported then it works great. Just keep in mind you need to tack on an extra week to the estimate that Randy gives you and keep in mind any holidays during the run (ie 4th of July) will cause further delay. Randy was quite responsive to emails when I contacted him regarding the delays and explained the constraints that are put on the truck drivers by law that slows things down. I believe he gives the best guess on arrival but he is not responsible for delays that incur with the transport driver. Yes it can be frustrating when the driver does not text you to let you know he is delayed but its not to hard to find out the number of the driver and text him. mine was pretty responsive once I was able to get his cell number through his company and get an accurate ETA. read more

horrible experience.....this guys is very irresponsible....has an attitude....moving one/two cars may not mean anything to him so he may treat you like junk after initially sweet-talking to get you sign the contract...if you are moving your personal car contact the moving services (the company that runs the trucks) directly...all this guy does is take 15%-20% in his pocket to do nothing.............he is also a big fat lier...he tried to get $170 bucks more from me saying i did not pay full amount...but thankfully i had all the signed paperwork.... so be very very careful. read more

Very Disappointed with this company. We hauled a load for them on 7/30/2012 and they have yet to pay. When I talk with Randy he said he would pay $50 a month have yet to see that. He said they went Bankrupt and will have to pay a little at a time. We allowed him to do that, but he has paid nothing. read more
