Attic to Basement took great care of us when my FIL passed away. He had lived in his home since 1967 and it held so many things from his lifetime. There were the usual items for daily living as well as the items he enjoyed collecting. He was also an artist, so the tools he used for his craft were also in the home. Cortnee and her team were highly respectful of the fact that we were clearing out the space that our loved one had called home. They were careful and kind with their questions too. Many of the items sold for higher than I would have expected, and then there were some that sold lower. I felt the initial pricing was fair as well as their negotiated prices. I feel that they truly honored our loved one and they balanced our wishes with the desire we had to sell the items we no longer needed. Typically, they have things discounted on the final day of the sale. My assumption is that is to allow as many things to sell as possible for their clients. Since they did the sale for the items from my FIL's home, I've gone to a few of their sales in the area. I enjoy the hunt for great items that still have some life left in them. The staff from Attic To Basement greets me with smiles and remembers me every time. The photos show before they helped us, the set up for the sale, and after it was all cleared out by them. I am leaving a review as a estate sale customer. I think this is important for future service clients, because you will want to know how your estate (or that of your loved one) is handled. The sales are always well organized, and there is enough staff to assist. The prices are very fair, not cheap, but appropriate. Go on a Sunday, and everything is usually 50%. My husband and I seek their sales out. I have recently bought a lot of essential household items for my son, who just moved into his first home by himself. :) I feel they handle the items/property respectfully, while still keeping their clients best interest in mind. Fantastic experience working with Cortnee and her team. She is ultra-responsive via text and email, which goes a long way with me. She scheduled the walk-through immediately and upon spending a few minutes with her, I knew that she was experienced. Her contact is very professional - nothing sketchy, whatsoever. I felt perfectly fine about giving her a key to the house a week early - and had no issues. She promptly followed-up with me during and after the sale and had the check in the mail the very next business day. I came to pick up a piece of furniture from a home where the resident was being moved to an assisted living facility after being in that home for over 30 years. Attic to Basement was a positive experience during a tough time in my life. I lost my dad in Dec. '24 and my mom in '12. My parents were married 65 years and lived in the house for 50 years. Their house was full of a happy life with treasures and hobbies. I worked hard for months packing up what the family wanted to keep, but an estate sale was the only way to further empty the house for sale. I am happy that I chose Attic to Basement. My sale was considered small but I never felt I was "less than" in the attention that was given to my sale. I went to an Attic to Basement estate sale the week before mine and had a chance to watch the employees interact with buyers. They were professional, considerate, kind, and best of all, personable. I was impressed. I never thought twice about turning my house over to them while they prepared for the sale and 3 days of the sale. They made it easy to trust them. I did not attend my sale for obvious reasons (grief) but received feedback from friends and family who described how nice it was set up and the generosity of the employees. Yesterday I returned to the house for the first time and it was left very neat and clean. They even brought in the mail while I turned my house over to them. Keys for outdoor locks were labeled. They have left it very easy for me to gather up the remaining items to be donated. It's all organized like I heard it was at the sale but much cleaner than I left it. Had the pleasure of attending an estate sale by Attic to Basement. Both Art and Tyler were so helpful, quickly answering questions, even running over with a screw driver when we wanted to purchase plant hooks attached to the wall. We came on a Sunday when everything was 50% off. It was a breath of fresh air to see things priced reasonably. I have been to many estate sales where they charge "brand new" prices for heavily worn items, but not at Attic to Basement's estate sale. I found the most beautiful vase I've ever seen and other pieces I'm excited to use, and you can see the prices were enticing enough to make me buy everything that caught my eye, without thinking twice! Genuinely the worst estate sale company ever! They charge you ridiculous prices and reverse image search every item to sell it for the original price. They tried to charge us $2 for one beer cozy from a pack of 10 that was on Amazon for $5. At another sale they were charging $5 per Christmas ornament. Maybe a good place if you're looking for something specific and willing to pay a bunch of money for it, but otherwise skip these sales! read more

I'm not saying she was a hoarder but when mom moved to assisted living there were piles and piles of stuff that had accumulated over decades that we needed to get rid of. With all the other logistics to handle, the thought of hosting a garage sale then coordinating the donation of all the remaining items and making multiple runs to the dump was overwhelming to say the least. Cortnee and her team stepped in and took care of absolutely everything. I met with her one time to show her around the house, sign agreements, and give her a set of keys. A few weeks later, the house was completely empty and we had a surprising amount of cash in our pocket from the proceeds of the estate sale. We didn't attend the sale, but the neighbors said it looked like a very smooth operation and everything went quite well. Do not do business with these people they are scammers and ripoffs.. they take 50% of the profit they make you pay the taxes that they take out before they pay you, they will tell you that they keep a list of what they sell and what they sell it for but at the end of the sale they provide no list, they will leave trash at your house, they will break things and not take responsibility, and they will even sell things that you tell them not to sell. Courtney the lady that runs it talks a big game like she can sell everything and has buyers that she knows will buy certain items, but none of that is true. They claim they know how to properly value things and wouldn't sell things for far less than what they're worth that is an absolute lie also it seems they almost just give your stuff away, or hell maybe they have friends that they just sell it really cheap too?? I really wish I would have done more research on them because I would have found that there is a long list of unhappy clients that all believe that this lady Courtney and this company attic to basement basically ripped them off and scammed them.. I am currently in the process of trying to contact many of these clients so we can get together and go to the district attorney's office and the attorney general's office to lodge complaints and have them investigated.. many people have estate sales because of family that have passed away and need a little help in these trying times and these people prey on that. do not do business with these crooks read more

Horrible!. They did my sale in April, beautifully furnished 2,700 sq ft. custom home in El Dorado Hills. I took 1 book case and a few small accent tables and kitchen items, I left everything else: I left 3 bedroom sets, large dining room table and 10 chairs, hutch and buffet, living room , closets full of clothes, closet full of kids toys including hundreds of dollars in Picasso tiles, wooden puzzles from the 1950's, ,holiday decor including a large collection of ceramic Halloween houses, 4 or 5 large area rugs from Capel Rugs, some hand tied,Craftsman tool chest full of tools, large collection of crafts, patio furniture and outdoor tools, antique needlepoint pillows and tapestry,, suit cases, home decor, 2 ladders, 2 large extension ladders etc. etc. After paying a $450 clean out fee, I netted $1,316.91. My guess is my items never made it to the sale. What an awful experience, I should have had a yard sale. read more
