Regardless of the circumstances surrounding this ticket ("it is what it is") I chose to utilize a lawyer to help me out with the unfortunate situation I found myself in. No further action required 2. Reduction in points from 6 to 3 if I take a defensive driving course at MATC. If you send legal documents to the Attorney, you will be sending them to a PO BOX address. This means that you are relying on any number of postal carriers to deliver it there, with no signature nor guarantee of delivery. As long as you place your faith in the remaining mail carriers employed by the U.S. Postal service to deliver your legal documents safely and securely to a PO BOX, then you'll be just fine. No worries whatsoever. But, in my experience, I strongly recommend that you call the Attorney to confirm delivery a few days later just to be sure. read more

I was ticketed returning to Chicago from Milwaukee in Racine for doing 14 over -- a few days after the ticket I got a few solicitations from attorneys offering to represent me in order to plead the case down in order to avoid points/ an increase in insurance. I got a speeding citation in Racine county on my way to Milwaukee in from Chicago. My violation was 23 MPH over the posted highway speed. Which apparently is within the highest speeding range you can get, it is considered Excessive Speeding. I gave this attorney my business because of both of these points: I wouldn't have to take a day off of work and due to their deal that if they cannot get my violation reduced to a non moving violation that I get my money back. He did inform me up front that this category (excessive speeding) is much more difficult than a typical (less than 20 over) speeding ticket. He tried to get me a non moving violation, but says the judge simply refused to sign it. I ended up with Inattentive Driving instead, which is far better than Excessive Speeding. I got 4 points rather than 6. I knew it was quite the long shot to get the reduction that he was going for, therefore even though I'm not thrilled I'm also not terribly surprised. The lesson is to not speed at 20+ MPH apparently. I hope that this helps others know what to expect in a similar situation. I do believe that if it were 19 MPH over the speed limit that I was doing, that I would be in a much better situation now and therefore be much happier with the result. This was just settled, I spoke with the attorney over the phone and got the news. I'll have to check later to see whether the money back guarantee still applies in this case as he made no mention of it. read more

I read the reviews and thought I need this guy! I was right to hire him! I received a 267.00 ticket 3 points. The sheriffs department set up a sting with emergency vehicles positioned every 300 feet on the freeway. I received a ticked because I moved into the middle lane too late, crazy hey?? Ronald charged me $150. He told me if he couldn't reduce it to a parking ticket he would refund my money!! I had nothing on my record and I drive for a living so I did not want anything on my record. Well the court offered to reduce the fine but keep the charge and the points the same, which never happens in Milwaukee. You can always get zero points but pay the fine. They were making an example. Ron said lets get a trial, I won't charge you more. We show up the cop did not twice and the judge would not dismiss it! Ron ended up asking for another judge, he got it and he reduced the points to zero and the ticket went from $267 to $100. Ron is totally worth it. He is a really sweet guy too! My review is the same as Eric's. I was doing 82/65 along I 94. I recieved several letters from law frims saying they'd love to represent me. I thought I'd at least would inquire. It had been 8+ years since I had a moving violation and with a couple young kid drivers, I'm already paying alot. I read Eric's review and gave Mr Polan a call.
