My hair was getting super long and unwieldy, and I hate having long hair, so I went on Yelp with a singular mission - find a salon that can cut an Asian man's hair, ASAP. Tony fit me in next-day (I booked YESTERDAY) at 150pm - and what do ya know, it's only a 10 minute drive from my home! The quality speaks for itself - he made the fade using a 2 on the sides but mentioned next time he could go to a 1 1/2 - but honestly I like it, and I'll be back regardless. The speed (it took 30 min total - I arrived 148pm, and I wrote this review starting at 220pm in my car as I'm about to leave), quality and vibe are incredible here. If you live on the eastside and you're looking for a good) fantastic haircut, you have an assignment - book here! I just started getting my hair cut by Tony a few times in the past year since moving to the area. If you, like me, are trying to parse through a bunch of reviews to try to understand who gives good cuts (especially for us guys who want a great haircut at medium length) and who to avoid, I honestly think you can stop looking and just make an appointment. Tony is great at clarifying and confirming what I want, including actually guiding me in terms of options because tbh I'm a little lost and usually say "like this, but shorter" after waaay too long between cuts. He really gets how to cut men's hair at all lengths, unlike a lot of men's barber shops that seem to only be able to do the "European soccer player special" and nothing else. He also seems to cut my hair in a way that it looks great for longer, growing out in a that still looks freshly cut for a lot longer than typical. The vibe in the shop is really great too! read more

I placed a service request through Yelp for a consultation/haircut in hopes I would get a call-back when someone from the salon was in during normal business hours. Instead, I received a message from Tony rudely stating he is busy. When I tried to explain I was hoping for a call-back during normal business hours and not trying to interact with him on his day off, it didn't seem to change whether he cared and how rude he was. He simply stated he didn't have anything for the following week. Although I checked the box "as soon as possible" I wasn't in a hurry so it wouldn't have mattered to me if I had to wait two weeks; I'm simply trying to find someone with at least ok bedside manner who can craft a great haircut since it was my birthday and I am looking for advice, an uplift and a long standing business relationship. I have only ever gotten my haircut by one person in New York. I decided to look for someone around here because my hair was getting pretty bad. I am so happy I did. Not only was this place adorable and the staff friendly, but the cut I got rivals the one I've gotten in New York. Dare I say it's better? Well... I was a first a bit sketched out because this place is appointments only and the business cards up front do say "walk ins" are welcomed. However, when I got there I realized it was appointment only, I was a bit disappointed to be turned away but the reviews were enough to convince me to give this place a shot. I scheduled an appointment with Tony a week later - the best decision I've made for my hair since moving to Washington State!!!! Tony was very professional and experienced. He knew exactly how to cut my hair to transform it from waist length and thinning, to shoulder length and very full of volume. I've been to nearly 8 hair salons in the last 4 years! From $-$$$$ and nobody knew how to cut Asian hair. My hair hair cutter in Philadelphia was a specialist in cutting Asian hair and after years of seeing him, I've learned a lot about what makes a good haircut and HOW to cut this type of hair. There is a method, foundation, and way to make things RIGHT -- and none of these salons had a clue!! Now that I've found Attractions Salon, where the technique is so similar to my specialist back in Philly, I won't be going anywhere else!! My search is finally over. Based on great Yelp reviews I called the salon first thing in the morning and fortunately Tony was able to fit me in later that afternoon. My wife, child and I have been customers of Kim for years. She has a great setup inside Attractions to accommodate us all and this includes a play area for kids! I get great haircuts from Kim, nothing too complex, but I'm always happy. The fact my wife continues to go back to get her hair done by Kim means a lot more and we both feel good after. After 3 months of quarantine, a girl needs her haircut! But I was hesitant, beauty vs. infectious disease ... what would Dr. Fauci do?! Well, my roots won the battle and a decision was made. I came ready with face mask and hand sanitizer. But once I arrived my concerns were answered, because all stylists were wearing masks and signs hung up to instruct clients on health guidelines. They even had hand sanitizers & Clorox wipes by front door! Jazzminn made me feel comfortable and explained all her safety protocols to me. What I found to be reassuring was the amount of social distancing they had there, each station was more than 6 feet apart and only a limited number of clients can be in waiting area at a time. Overall a great salon experience considering the circumstances we are all facing. All industries have been affected by the pandemic and salons were hit hard.
