I ate a very mediocre meal at one of the creperies in town called Au Lys D'Argent. The only reason I chose this place was because it was one of the only ones without an English menu and where I actually heard French people talking in the restaurant. It was probably one of the better choices. The menu at 10,90€ (about $15 USD) included a warm goat cheese salad on lukewarm bread swimming in sauce. I chose a galette complet with egg, ham and cheese in an overdone crepe, and a sweet sugar crepe that was so dry I only tasted the middle before giving up on it completely. After my meal, I would have gladly eaten somewhere off the island in the nearby Marais.

Au Lys d'Argent is a lovely quaint and inviting Creperie on Isle St Louis. I have been going there to have lunch for years. The gentleman who is the purveyor is quite nice and takes care of you. He has owned his restaurant for 25 years. Crepes, savory and sweet, Quiches and salads are what you can expect with a nice selection of teas and always nice wines. I love the ambiance and enjoy seeing the owner and having a genuine Parisian experience at Au Lys d'Argent and always go at least once on my trips to Paris.

Really delicious. Would definitely recommend for an inexpensive lunch. Really sweet waiters/owners as well. C'est parfait!

Impressive budget menu in an expensive area. Kind staff. Might need to eat two to fill you up

So fabulous we ate here twice. Owned by a super friendly husband and wife team. Can't go wrong with sweet or savory.

This is a hard review because, on one hand the crepés were quite delicious--I ordered a chestnut…read morecream which I liked but was done with midway through and a butter and sugar which was fantastic and I could have ate many more--but it was the only place on my Paris trip that clearly ripped me off and didn't correct it when I questioned the server. I had ordered those two crepés, black tea, and a little milk for the tea. This should have only set me back about 20ish€ in total (the crepes were about 6-7€ and tea 5€). I was charged 37€. As I paid at the register I asked the server (in my halting French) "is it really 37€? That doesn't seem right." She shrugged and said, "Oui, 37€." While I didn't want to make a big deal out of it--nothing like being the raging American in a country not your own--I unhappily paid and chalked it up to an inevitability: every overseas trip it has had this happen once, where the language barrier seemed like an excuse to cheat. This was my one in Paris.

Pricey fresh hand made crepes!…read more Husband and I came here twice. First time for the chocolate gran marnier, another time for the Brazilian. Our crepe creator was very friendly and cool, I like how they kind of put on a show when they make them, our crepe was purposely light on fire. :D If you don't don't like the taste of alcohol, I don't recommend the Brazilian, the rum was strong!
