The trailer is designed to produce minimum drag and provide maximum secure storage. It does both with unexpected benefits. A fully loaded Companion 6 didn't make much difference in my gas mileage and sped me through a terrorist search (before crossing the Hoover Dam) since the full-length lid put all of the trailer's contents in plain view. No matter how well a product performs for it's intended use, service and support makes or breaks the product's value. In this case, Kevin at Companion Trailers took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure that I understood the steps to attach and detach the trailer safely. It seems like this is not their normal experience but just an unfortunate occurrence. Original post: I reserved a trailer for rental and even had a confirmation from one of their employees. When we showed up to pick up the trailer at the time we had agreed upon they had given our trailer to somebody else. They had a hard time tracking down our rental confirmation, but when they did find it, they just said too bad. No apology or any thing. The only thing they could offer was a rusty stock trailer that the doors would hardly open or to sell us a brand new trailer. Now I'm less scrambling around trying to find a trailer. I will never use them again. I'd recommend staying far away unless you have back up options.
