I was very grateful for that advice as I was in the midst of painting those ceilings. Their pricing on Benjamin Moore paints I feel is good, as well as on their paint brushes. They are courteous and will help bring purchases to car. Today, they delivered a Weber grill to my home, assembled and placed on my patio at no extra charge. Their price was the same as Home Depot except I got white glove treatment. Would highly recommend Allerdice.

I like shopping local and for decades this has been a local family's business. Anyway, I just found…read moreout that they do small engine repairs and so I took in my backpack leaf blower (Husqvarna) that died this week. I picked it up after just a few days. I think I was lucky because I heard the mechanic pretty busy. And ... hurray. It starts better, it runs better, and so far it hasn't stalled out again. And ... the cost was quite fair. Since I avoid big box stores when I can, I have only this simple comparison. Last year I needed pressure treated 2x4 sticks for firewood racks. They were maybe 25% less at a big box store but then I found out the cheaper ones are not rated for ground contact. Those that I later bought at Allerdice were. The difference was worth it to me. I'm not a fanatic about shopping locally. I do shop online, but when I can, I go local.

The interesting thing, though, is that it goes beyond a hardware shop: they also have a lot of pet supplies, and yes, they even sell animals such as guinea pigs and ducks. That's pretty cool. The people who work here are really pleasant and helpful, and the selection and pricing are also very good. Country Living is generally my first stop when I need tools or supplies, especially since it's very close to where I live. It's a good thing to support a useful local store. I'd really recommend checking this place out if you haven't already.

Superior customer service. Today I needed some baseboard. While I was looking over their…read moreselection, three different people offered to help me. After I selected the pieces they offered to cut them to my measurements so the 16' pieces would fit better in my van. While doing that they also offered to square up the rough ends with their saw. And they gave me a quantity discount. The employees are wonderfully helpful. A couple of years ago the manager recommended a contractor to me and the recommendation worked out great.
