We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.

The store handled it a lot better than the software behind the process. I used their website on my laptop to create the order. When selecting a store, it did display all of the nearby stores. However, unlike most other websites, when you look at a specific store, there is usually a "Make this my store" link. There was none here, it simply remembers the last store you looked at and assumes that's the one you want. So remember to check in the upper right once you begin creating your order that you have the right store. The website is very good about indicating what is or is not available in the store. However, once you order something, you have to indicate for every item you order, whether you want it for delivery or pick-up. It defaults to delivery. The first time I tried, I didn't realize it until I opened checkout and saw a delivery fee, when I realized I forgot to specify pick-up for one item. There is a box for text input at the bottom of the form when you check out. However, the first time I added something to it, the outline of the box turned red, and I got the message "Invalid special characters." I couldn't figure out whether they meant the period, the comma, or the apostrophe, as those were the only non-letters. I wound up trying two more times, but the only acceptable input I could make was no input at all. There are 2 spots in the parking lot for pickup. The sign says you can notify them by either calling the number on the sign, using the website, or using the mobile app. Well, I didn't use any of these methods. I had the email order confirmation on my phone, so I used the link in the email to open up a notification page (so I guess maybe website?). I liked that they had an option to indication the style and color of your car. But again, I had the same problem with the text box when entering text. I could only submit it without text. But after that, an employee had to come out to my car and verify my last name, because this method didn't actually associate my order to the "I'm in the lot" notification. Once that was straightened out, they brought out the order quickly, with no problems. None of these problems are show-stoppers, merely speed bumps. But I have a background in software test, and stuff like this irks me. It felt like they didn't test everything. But I was glad to receive an email from TSC immediately after receiving my order in which I could provide feedback. Would I use this process again? Yes, but with some changes to how I order items, based on this experience.

Primarily, it's due to the employees. I'll drive 20 miles out of my way just to not have to deal with the staff in Saratoga. Bottom line - if you don't like working with the public - don't. If you are at a customer service counter, think about what your job actually is. Leave your baggage at home and figure out how to function in society. To the management: train your people on how to function in a retail position.

We Shopped around for months visiting several establishments to refurnish several rooms in our house. Our saleswoman (Karen from the Queensbury Location) was very attentive, kind and knowledgeable in her product. We explained to her what we were looking for and she 100% nailed it out of the park. We custom ordered a sectional reclining couch. We were told that the warehouse did not have the pieces to fill our order, and the shipment would be around NOV 1st. As This was so exiting for our family and we patiently waited for this arrival. We visited the store a couple times to pick out an entertainment center, coffee table and end stand set. Nov 1st we were told that the sofa was in and that the warehouse was open for pick up until 6pm. My Husband and I arranged for help and our schedules from work to pick up. When we arrived at 3:30pm to warehouse. Our excitement was high. We rang the bell to alert that we were there and there were several employees in sight, and no one acknowledged us. We were about to ding the bell again and someone from the warehouse asked if we were being helped? We said NO. Then they went into the office to a man that was sitting with his back to us, and he said I am busy. We finally got helped and were told to go to bay 5. While waiting for pick up in bay, The gentleman in office with his back to use came walking out with a coworker saying ("who shows up at 3:30!" They will be waiting awhile...) one of these employees was (Paul) the Manager. We Finally get our sofa piece home, remove our old couch and start to unbox our new sofa. Come to find out they gave us 2 air massage single recliners with arms. We went straight to the Queensbury location to see where the mix up was. As we stood there, the store and warehouse argued who messed up Until they closed. We were told that at 10 am the GM would call us from warehouse to resolve this. 10 am, we received a call from the warehouse saying that the resolve was a time frame between Thursday -Saturday before an available delivery truck and manpower. We went to store and said that was not acceptable. We spoke to manager (Melissa) of the store to come up with an acceptable solution. We offered to deliver the two items to the warehouse in the rain and pick up ours. Nope! We offered to pick up ours and they could schedule a pick up for the other two items. They had a delivery truck in our area that picked up their piece and we drove to get ours. The delivery guy admitted to us while picking up that they had about an hour before their next delivery. In that time, they could have driven back to warehouse and picked up ours and delivered/ picked. We arrived at the warehouse to pick up our pieces that we were told were ready for us. They were not ready for us to receive. After finding out that the boxes were labeled wrong there was an apology of "sorry things happen." We didn't feel that this was resolved at all properly. This wasted our time, money, and was extremely stressful.

I am disappointed in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Apparently wearing a mask is optional inside the store…read more I watched (and heard) a woman checkout without a mask on. She was quite loud. I moved over to customer service and requested to be checked out closer to the doors. I then asked the manager why a woman was in the store without a mask on. He immediately told me that she had a medical condition. I paused and said then why is she indoors shopping? She was with another person and they were purchasing one small item. Couldn't he at least request that she wait outside for her own safety? (And the safety of the employees and other shoppers?) The cashier, a teenage boy, agreed with me. He said that he notices shoppers aren't even wearing their masks correctly (their noses are exposed) but nobody says anything to them. This worries him. Same story at Hannafords and Dick's. However, at the smaller stores on Broadway, like Uncommon Grounds, shop owners are telling people to leave unless they have a mask on. I've seen that happen too. It's irresponsible for the bigger stores to allow people to shop without masks on. Not only will people get sick, but, if the economy shutters again, they will survive while many smaller stores will close for good. The research consistently shows that wearing a mask protects not only others our community, but also the wearer. We are all in this together, so wear a mask!

Joe took his time and asked us lots of questions. He gave us lots of information. We spent a good time in there simply laying on mattresses and narrowing down what felt right. When we found one, he then took us comparable mattresses that would save us money!!! Seriously, what salesman shows you something less expensive? Anyways, in the end we went middle of the road and we are excited about our purchase. I will update with delivery info and product info. However, we recently had our John Deere tractor serviced at United Ag and Turf and were very impressed with their commitment to customer satisfaction and quick service. The service manager went out of his way to make sure everything was completed as specified and that we were happy with their service. All the people we dealt were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and went out of their way to provide what they strive for - a world class customer experience. We will definitely return for service in the future and would highly recommend this company.
