I like Audi Danbury. We bring both our Audi's here for service and they always do a great job of fixing any issues and giving us very timely and informative updates on what's happening. I like how the technician sends a video of your car and explains everything. The service advisors are professional and really easy to talk to, meaning they pick up their phones, return calls, etc. to make sure you have the information you need. Things definitely aren't cheap here compared to an independent shop but for quality work on your Audi, this place is really good. read more

I've tried to give Audi Danbury multiple chances, but at this point I'm beyond frustrated with the overall experience. After purchasing my car through their associated preowned dealership (which was a fiasco in itself), I was given a complimentary oil change. That seemed like a nice gesture--until I found out future oil changes would cost around $400. On top of that, I showed up at 8:30 AM and waited nearly 3 hours for what is, frankly, a very routine service. I later had the same job done by a local German specialist for $150 in an hour. It didn't stop there. I was quoted an extremely high price for brakes as well, and ended up getting the work done elsewhere for about 60% of what Audi Danbury wanted to charge. At this point, it's hard not to feel like their pricing model is completely out of touch. The warranty experience has been just as frustrating. I've only used it once because of how difficult they make the process. I brought my car in for an intermittent issue with the rear dome light turning on and off. They diagnosed it as a faulty SOS control module and quoted $1,000. It took them an entire month to complete the repair--and that's after I had to delay my drop-off because they gave away the loaner vehicle they had already reserved for me. Fast forward a year later, and the problem still isn't fixed. I ended up putting a piece of vinyl over the light just so my passengers don't have to deal with it. On top of that, the front desk experience is consistently poor. The service advisors are often nowhere to be found, and when you do speak with someone, they rarely seem confident or knowledgeable about the questions being asked. Most recently, I reached out about calibrating my radar/ADAS system after installing lowering links on the factory air suspension. My local mechanic--who specializes in German cars--was upfront that his equipment couldn't handle it and didn't charge me but told me it was no more than a 2.5 hour job. Audi Danbury, on the other hand, quoted me $1,000 and claims it will take 3-4 hours. When I tried to discuss my past experiences and build some kind of working relationship, I was met with pushback about my modifications potentially voiding my warranty, warnings that the dealership is not mod-friendly, and no real effort to be helpful. I was told to book anyway and that the fix might not even solve the issue--meaning more costs could follow. I agreed to move forward and asked for a confirmation and written quote via email. I never heard back. Overall, this dealership feels disorganized, overpriced, and uninterested in building long-term customer relationships--especially if you're even slightly outside of a completely stock setup. I truly love the Audi brand and want to start by saying that I was the one who encouraged and convinced my husband to become an Audi customer. Before Audi, he only wanted Subaru or Toyota. Because of my belief in Audi, we became loyal customers -- and today, both of us own Audi vehicles. That is why it is especially disappointing to say that I have gradually stopped using Audi Danbury's service department. Over time, I noticed a clear difference in how my husband and I are treated. When he brings his car in for service, his vehicle is consistently washed and he receives noticeably more attention. In contrast, my electric Audi has never been washed, nor has it ever been charged, even when I asked about it. Each time, I was given an explanation or a promise that was never fulfilled. Rather than continuing to place myself in situations that leave me feeling ignored and frustrated, I chose to step away from the service department altogether. I have had my car serviced there 3 times for general maintance. Al Cretacci was my service advisor. Overall I have no complains about the service itself. I therefore purchased two prepaid service maintenance for 65k and 75k. The 65k service was performed end of 2024 as planned. Today, I wanted to schedule the 75k service and I found out that it was expired (as of November 30, 2025)... I wasn't aware of any expiration date on that type of contract. Al did not mention it at all. I feel like I have been robbed by this dealership. read more

Service Department: I've had my car serviced there 5 or 6 times (general maintance/recalls). The first few were fine, but the last 2 I had Al Cretacci as my service advisor. The first time I had him was for a recall where he told me approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete it. After waiting for 4+ hours and him walking past me at least 4 times with no update I went to find him for an update. His first reply was "I didn't know you were still here, your car should have been done a long time ago." He then couldn't find it in the system so I had to wait for another 30 min for him to track it down. I told him i had to get to a meeting and i needed it quickly. He then sent it to get washed instead of bringing it quickly. I missed the beginning of a meeting because of how long it took him to get the car back to the front. This last time my car was parked right in front of his desk for at least 30 minutes before I walked up and asked him if it was finished. He said "No one updated me, let me check" Once again he said it wasn't in the system and had to do additional checking before I could pay and leave. Once is a mistake, twice is lack of care, especially when the car is parked right in front of his desk with the paperwork for it sitting right in front of him and it's obviously been finished for quite a long period of time. read more

The absolute WORST dealership when it comes to the service department. The service advisor I've been assigned NEVER answers his line, and NEVER calls back when you leave a message. You just have to keep calling and hopefully someone will eventually patch you through to him. The only one in that delearship who cares about the customers the sales manager. He is responsive and great to deal with. But what good is a dealership if once you drive away with a brand new car, you can't get it serviced over the years? I brought my car in to have the windshield recalibrated after it was installed. After about 4 hours, I was told it was complete. I paid for the $1000 service, got in my car and drove off, only to find out it was NOT done. I drove it back to the dealership, sat for another hour while they corrected the problem with one of the sensors. To add insult to injury, when I got home, Audi Danbury texted me the receipt for charging me over $50 to fill the loaner car. When they gave me the loaner today, the gas tank was nowhere near full. The attendant told me that when he gave me the keys and said they he would let my service manager know. I drove (maybe) 20 local miles, and actually put 3 gallons back in the car. I gave it back to them with more gas than when I received. It is like this EVERY SINGLE TIME. And then they have the nerve to ask you to give them good reviews online! read more

Brought my Audi 2020 in for service on Aug 28, 2023 fix a malfunctioning door lock and to fix a leaking dome light. A few days later, the door was once again malfunctioning. Rep offered to re-diagnose "for free (lol) but offered no answer as to why the car was given back to me without first being QC'ed to determine that the problem had indeed been resolved. Audi offered a refund ($199) via check, which a month later I have yet to receive. Odd that they would not instantly offer a credit on my credit card. Doubtful I'll receive a refund check if I have not already received it a month later. A few weeks later (9/20), while in VA on my way to FL, my dome light started leaking again. It was the first heavy rain I had experienced since my 8/28 service. Multiple emails and phone calls requesting a refund for this work ($870) have been ignored. Sort of sad that the false assurance of "the car will never leak again" was given by the rep upon my departure from the dealership. I guess he meant it wouldn't leak as long as it doesn't rain.EX EXTREMELY SLOPPY WORK AND EXTREMELY POOR POST-SERVICE FOLLOW THROUGH. Wish I could give a Negative 5 Star rating. I all but begged my Audi rep to not let the situation escalate, but unfortunately it has, as I have already taken several steps in this direction. I'm guessing Audi thinks the problem will eventually just fade to black, but in this instance, they are sadly mistaken. read more

Audi Danbury deserves more than 5 stars. I made an appointment with them. They follow up with you your appointment and if you need a loaner car they provide it for you. My service advisor was Gabriel at the time. I always have concerns about services and car dealerships because they always want to take more money from you but definitely not Audi danbury. Bought a new car, the car buying experience was pleasant.... However...word to the wise! DO NOT LET THIS DEALERSHIP CERAMIC COAT/ DETAIL/ Wash your car. They may promise a warranty for your paint on the ceramic coating they sell you on. DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO THIS. The "detailer " will wash your car with a gravel filled rag and then do a shoddy job of applying the ceramic coat. THEY ARE HACKS!!!! The salesman promised they make it right, I (against my best judgement) agreed to allow them to detail the car. It was returned wish swirls and srcathces, AND Miles put on the car that only had 170 miles on the clock. Then the manager and salesperson refused to answer my emails. Do yourself a big favor and do not allow them to ceramic coat, or even prep the car. Waited a long time for the car we built, it was not an inexpensive model. They lost my trust. They recently picked up and delivered my 2018 Q5 with 14,110 miles on it early which greatly helped, and they were very accommodating to do so for me. Dash, the service advisor kept me apprised the whole way. Alex, the technician sent me a well narrated video of the vehicle's service procedure and condition of inspection points. John Hansen oversaw everything and helped complete a successful resolution for me. Even the gentleman who transported the vehicle and brought it back was well spoken and was a great Brand Ambassador for the dealer. Much appreciation for everyone's help. Recently, I moved up to the Greater Boston area. When I got my 85K service done at Audi Burlington, they indicated that my platinum spark plugs need to be replaced (and they informed me that this should have been done at my 75K service). Audi Danbury took care of my 55K, 65K, and 75K mile services. Previously i thought they did a great job, but apparently they dropped the ball in regards to my 75K mile service. In addition, Audi Burlington says that they looked into my records, and they do not see any records of my 55K, 65K, and 75K mile services done in the Audi service database. Luckily, I keep track of my paper records. I thought this place was great, but Audi Danbury seems to actually be a sour lemon. read more

Disgusted with service department. We spoke with Nate regarding a service we did with Audi. It was around 1500 dollars and less than a week later my battery which was grade in the green failed. While driving on the highway I saw smoke coming out of the hood of the car when I pulled over and popped the hood battery was smoking, and smelled of rotten eggs like smell. My issue isn't just with the fact that something seemingly slipped between the cracks but with his candor and demeanor in dealing with customers. Transparency and accountability go a long way ESPECIALLY in customer service. At no point did he apologize for our experience or express his regret that a week after our service we had to purchase a whole new battery when Audi passed the battery with no issues. Not to mention we had to call and leave multiple messages before even hearing back. I'm not sure where he was trained in dealing with customers but I will not be stepping foot in Audi Danbury again after being dealt with so distastefully! Very unfortunate since I was looking to make that my home dealership regarding our next couple car purchases. At this point their service recovery would have to entail reimbursement for the battery cost, and the service that they supposedly provided, when in reality they endangered myself and my husband and children by not doing their due diligence. read more

I brought my Audi Q5 (2018) into service as all of the dashboard alerts were going off. My service tech, Dash, informed me of a litany of services that needed to be done after telling me a rodent caused severe damage. I involved insurance, which he did not like and recanted the actual items that the rodent damaged. After 2-weeks of servicing my vehicle, he tried to charge me for 3x one of the items and when I called him out on it, explained my vehicle needed that until he checked with the repair team and realized they had billed it in error. I denied service on most of the items quoted as I priced them out with a more honest service station in town. Who after servicing the vehicle confirmed that many of the items listed by Dash and his team, were unnecessary repairs. Audi quoted me over $7k of service, meanwhile I only needed $800 worth of repairs. Morally corrupt!!! I will not even buy a car from this dealership now because of the service team. I am in two minds about this place. On one hand, John Hanson is really the best, and probably the only reason that I keep coming back to Audi to get my car fixed even though they charge me an arm and a leg each time. On the other, as the other customers say, the prices, service, work done etc are just ridiculously over-charged and a rip off! I usually deal with Fred Mullen but this time, when I arrived to drop off my car, Fred was with another customer and John Hanson offered to help me. He started the paperwork for me.He and Fred were both a pleasure to deal with. They were respectful, thorough, friendly and polite. When I picked up my car, I spoke with Fred who gave me detailed information regarding the service done. My car was there from one day to the next. I was given a loaner, which met and exceeded my expectations. It was new, clean and nice to drive. I have been going to this dealership for many years. I have never had a negative experience there. If you're going to leave your car at this location, take ALL your belongings. I never expected this from Audi but I really did give them a chance to make this right before writing this. 2 months ago I took my car in for detailing. Something ended up being wrong with it so they had to keep it for an extra week which was totally ok. I have a baby so I tried to take everything I could when I left my car but forgot my husband's Ferragamo sunglasses on the dashboard tray in my rush to get the baby in the loaner car as she was crying. When I went to pick up my car a week later, the sunglasses were gone. I called and made sure that I was clear in that I wasn't accusing anyone of any wrongdoing, but they did go missing. I was met with a pretty defensive attitude when I spoke to the manager, John, but I understood that it may have been out of concern that I would write a bad review. I assured him that I just wanted the glasses back or for them to rectify the situation. He asked me to send him the price of the item and a photo and told me he would speak to management and call me back, but I didn't hear back. I called back 2 times before finally getting ahold of him and he told me he promised someone would reach out to me but a month later, no answer. So I tried again and couldn't seem to get him to call me back at all. So I finally spoke to the director in the services department, Dave. Once again he told me he would speak with accounting and call me back first thing in the morning, although something told me he wasn't really that interested in helping based on the tone in his voice. That was 4 days ago and I have called and left messages but it seems like I'm just being pushed aside. So I thought I would just come here to warn future patrons that if you accidentally leave any possessions behind and they go missing, this specific location is not interested in making sure you retrieve your property or making it right so you at least feel they take responsibility for anything that happens when your car is in their care. So make sure you leave your car completely empty, or go to another Audi with better customer service. read more

Not only did Danbury Audi repair the problem with my emergency break for free, they also provided me with a loaner. I would give zero stars for the service department if it was an option. I just spent $1,878 to repair breaks on my 7 year old Audi Q7. They replaced pads, rotors and sensors. A typical brake job. This is an absolute travesty and a complete RIPOFF. I spoke to a mechanic friend of mine who told me that they took me to the cleaners. Says the price at best should be half that cost. Horrible service experience! Brought my car in to have snow tires put on. Went into pick up later that day - snow tires were on but they did not have my regular tires for me to take home. After numerous assurances that they would track down my tires and promises to deliver them to my home, and after my chasing them down for two weeks, I was finally told that they had actually thrown out my tires because they were worn. Obviously you don't get rid of a customer's tires without having a conversation with the customer, informing them that they thought the tires were worn and ASKING them if they wanted the tires disposed of. Throughout this situation they have been non-responsive and totally unprofessional. Have called Audi customer service to report my experience. So happy Audi Hawthorne has opened so I never have to go back to this dealer gain. read more

In 2018, I had a new water pump installed in a 2009 Audi A4. Unbeknownst to me, for the past 10 years there have been numerous class action suits against Audi for defective water pumps that had all or part of the costs reimbursed....Audi never notified us of any class action suits. Fast forward to late November,  warning light that coolant was low and found fluid on the garage floor. I could 't get an appointment with Audi of Danbury until December 5 so had to go to a local authorized repair shop. Guess what the problem was? Water pump was leaking. Local guy said to contact the dealership & see if pump they installed was under warranty. I called and spoke to service who informed me that the warranty was 12 months or 12,000 miles and the car was driven 14,000 so nothing they could do. When I protested regarding the Audi history of defective water pumps and the many THOUSANDS of dollars we had paid these guys to fix WAY TOO MANY repairs over the years, I was expecting some LOYALTY in exchange for MY loyalty to them...instead, I was told that the pump could have leaked because...get this...the car wasn't driven much and that could cause the seals to shrink! WTF? So in other words, it's MY FAULT that their GARBAGE water pumps (proven to be garbage by MULTIPLE LAWSUITS in the past decade) failed. I would have at least expected some consideration...maybe waive the labor or give some kind of discount based on the FACTS that a defective pump was likely, it was only 2000 miles past their "warranty" and the tremendous amount of money we've spent at their service Dept. But, no...instead I basically get, 'tough luck, you just missed out on the warranty' and 'you contributed to the water pump we put in leaking because you only drove 14,000 miles!' Get it? You drove TOO MUCH to have the warranty kick in but you drove TOO LITTLE and caused it to fail. What DISGRACEFUL treatment of customers who have been loyal to this dealership. They won't get another dime of my money and I suggest you stay FAR, FAR AWAY from Audi of Danbury! They don't value their loyal customers! read more
