I recently had a great experience with Danbury Powersports. I was greeted with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Prior to my visit I had communicated with the salesperson Matt G. via email and he was able to answer all of my questions quickly before my visit. Once I arrived to make a purchase, Matt was able to show me his inventory of quads and the details of each one. After I chose the one I wanted to purchase, the processing paperwork would take a while so it allowed for me to run some more errands during the process. Matt notified me a few hours later via phone call to confirm the final numbers, discounts, and that he would be performing a pre-sale checkup (new spark plugs, fuel, oil/filter change, etc.) that I believe is standard for all powersport sales at his business. Not long after he called me again to inform me my purchase was ready for pick-up. He gave me a thorough but brief overview on how to operate the machine and then helped me load it on to my trailer. I was charged 228$ (1.5 hours labor) to mount 4 new atv tires that I supplied and brang in off the machine. The tires themselves were 214$, that's less then the mounting cost, how can that be justified. Bought a brand new crf250 from them a year ago 700$ snowmobile helmet(s) I could go on.. this is how I'm treated. I'm a plumber myself but I don't jack up the labor charge like that when someone has me install their own appliance or part, perhaps I pissed them off by not purchasing the tires from them, I would've if I've known the consequences. I later found out Walmart does it for about 10$ a tire save your money. read more

I scheduled an oil change for my bike here, and was told by the Service Manager to bring it in immediately and that they would take care of it while I waited. I brought the bike down as instructed, and when I get there, a junior service writer tells me that they never do oil changes without an appointment or while the customer waits. I explained to him a second time that I was told to bring it in immediately, and, again, he tells me I'm wrong. I explained to him a THIRD time that I was just told that they would change the oil if I brought it down immediately, and, for the THIRD time he tells me I'm wrong. At this point, he is pretty much telling me that I'm a liar. Apparently their service people are not taught the two rules of customer service, that one: "The customer is always right", and two: "When the customer is wrong, refer to rule number one". They also apparently aren't taught to ask their superior if a customer states THREE TIMES what is happening, because it appears this kid would rather be obstinate than helpful. So now I need two tires on my bike, and Danbury Powersports tells me it will be six weeks before they can do it! Apparently they are understaffed and unable to keep up with the workload they have (who can be without their bike for that amount of time during peak riding season?) I call Libby's Motoworld in New Haven (another local Honda dealer) and they tell me to bring it in the next day and they'll do the tire replacements while I wait! That's customer service! Libby's Motoworld also dealt with the "wobble" issue that most Goldwings suffer from by suggesting I switch tire brands to Bridgstone, which completely solved this issue, a problem Danbury Powersports was unable to address, even after bringing it to them more than once. read more

I had purchased 2 quads from this facility and spent 10k. One of them was a Suzuki 50cc for my youngest son, did not start when I came to pick it up. I had to take it because it was a Christmas present for my son so I told them I would bring it back. My son no lie drove it twice, then it just wouldn't start at all. I brought it in for service in which they stated it needed a new carb and battery and was like they are charging me $800.00. When we complained that we had issues since purchase they said they will warranty the battery. We asked for the carb back and supposedly said they couldn't find it at the moment. But nonetheless they gave it back to us with the old battery in it, they never changed it even though on the receipt it showed it was. We got it home it did not start, and now the key would not come out of the ignition. we once again returned and left it. We also once again requested the old carb back, which finally a month later they said they "found" it. Then it turned out to be the starter, so they had to replace the starter. But through this whole process they did not once say there was a warranty on it. We did our own research and found out their was a 1 year warranty, they once again tried to say that it was only 6 month so we had to get Suzuki involved. Insane. I will never deal with this business again. I don't mind spending the money for things I need just don't want to spend money on things that are covered under warranty and subpar service. Also, my fiance had done multiple transactions with this company for 15 years with multiple motorcycle purchases and this is how they handle repeat customers. My suggestion for anyone that cares is to find a different place to make your purchase unless you want someone that will lie and overcharge you. Not a good business practice. read more

We just purchased a 2022 Honda Monkey from DP Powersports. I don't normally write reviews but these guys really made a great impression on my wife and I. Our sales person was Nick Caligiuri. Nick was professional in every aspect of the sale but just as important he made the process easy and fun, no stress. The cool part was that everyone we dealt with from Ben who took time out to show us the bike while Nick was busy with another customer, to the guys in the parts department, to Frank the owner, they where all friendly and informative. To put this in perspective some years ago I purchased a Ducati that cost 3 times what we payed for the Monkey, their sales people where friendly but parts and the service departments made you feel like they where doing you a favor. Danger avoid this business at all cost. The two sneaky sleazy salesman will do anything to sell a bike. Purchased a motorcycle that hadn't registered for 10 days. Went to go see what was going on with it, I was told after the girl looking around for a few minutes that it had crate damage. I just seen the bike a week earlier and have a couple of pictures there was no crate damage. What happened was they dropped the bike scratch the motor and are trying to blame the poor carrier for their mistake. I was approached by the matchstick blonde haired service manager and he could not refund my money today, and he got a little nasty so instead of planting his face into the desk. I decided I had to call the police. All of a sudden the check that he couldn't sign and he couldn't give out unless the owner was there was magically in my hand as soon as the police appeared. Going to give everybody the Vin number so this way nobody buys a broken bike. Danbury Powersports Honda 750 DCT has been dropped. This review is solely based on my experience with service and buying parts but the staff is always extremely nice, and the people in the service department are so helpful.. I have a Ninja and although they aren't a Kawi dealer I still will always go to them to get parts. They always order or find the right parts for me that fit my bike since they don't keep Kawi OEM parts in stock.. Only negative is when spring time comes.. service for this place BOOKS up! Needed to get some basic- post-winter maintenance last season for a Suzuki GS and they were not able to fit me in for a bit over a month.. However- they were honest in letting me know right away and did suggest somewhere I could go for faster work which was nice of them.. Just shows they're good so try to get your bikes in earlier than you think you need! read more

Just bought a Sea Doo here. It's my first jetski so I wasn't sure what to expect. They provide a great sales experience with no pressure and really try to match you with a machine that's a good fit. Sue did an amazing job in working with us to get us a great ski for a competitive price. Once we pulled the trigger they turned it around in a day and Sue brought the ski to our dock and showed me everything I needed to know to get us on the water. And it was her day off! Dealt with the manager Frank to purchase it over the phone and picked it up a couple days later. I've had it for 2 months now n have even gone back to have it's first service. I have now dealt with people in all departments from sales to service n even ordered a couple things. In every instance this place was friendly n professional. So I called you guys to make sure youd mount my tube tires and adjust the rim runout (wheel is straight). Guy at the service desk quoted me $350 to do this simple job. I can get all necessary tools for $100 and do myself. He showed me a previous bill that stated every nipple was rusted to every spoke.. mine was not like that so I asked to speak with one of the service team and the guy said "he'll get mad if I ask him a question while he's working" so I offered to wait there until he had a free minute and he refused. Made appointment to have quads picked up for service. They were a no show. I called to check due to having to make the appointment 3 weeks prior.They rescheduled due to employee being out sick. No show after no show. When I would call they kept rescheduling. I finally gave up and did not call after the last no show. Never heard from them. Harley got a flat tire and had it towed to Danbury Powersports. It was being unloaded right as they were about to open. Back tire was the flat. The tow operator is almost done unloading and the owner comes out and asks him to move so he can unload his showroom. Driver said, I'm almost done cab you give me a minute, it'll take me longer to loaded it back up and move. The bike was unstraped already, the owner told him to move the truck with the bike unstraped and a flat tire. Owner gets in his car, goes to the back of the building and says nothing more. Driver gets the bike completely unloaded, moves his truck, and the owner comes back out and tells us he can't change the tire due to not having the tools! He then says, if we have a tire he can get it changed... You don't have the tools to change the tire, but if a tire is brought to you, you can change it. I called after we left, and spoke to someone other then the owner. I asked if they could change the tire and had a tire to do so, the guy said yes. The owner was mad that the tow truck couldn't move the second he asked him too, so he didn't want to change my tire. Lastly, the tow truck wasn't even really in his way. The owner could have unloaded the showroom with the tow truck where it was. Bike had to be brought to a garage to get a plug since Harley and Indian are closed on Mondays. read more

I dropped my jetski off at Damburry Power Sports for a warranted repair. My 2017 seadoo was using an Excessive amount of antifreeze. I contacted the service department and advised them I purchased my ski in Queens New York, they said it would not be a problem to service my Ski in CT under warranty. The service team went over and beyond my expectations. They serviced and fix the Ski in a timely matter. Prior to the ski being done I drove up from New York and met with Corey the new service manager. I advised him of my random days off (do to my employment) and would not be able to pick up the ski for another couple of days. This is when the manager stated he lives very close to me in ct and can personally drop off Ski on his own time. Who does that????? Well Corey did. :-). Days later I make it back up to Ct only to find my ski would not start. Just before closing on a Saturday I called Danbury Power Sports get in touch with Corey again. This time he tells me he will be on candlewood lake after work and can coming by water side on his jetski after 6pm. Once again on his own time he stopped by and troubleshoot the issue. BUYER BEWARE!!! These guys play games to the MAX. Flat out lies and misrepresentation. Quickly, on my trade-ins value, they showed me Kelly bluebook #'s and offered below those values. My trade-in's were in show room condition with a couple of hundred miles. They'll show you the value of what they're selling based on High NADA, trade-ins based on low KBB. Kelly blue book will almost always shows a much lower value than NADA by hundreds and even thousands of dollars. NADA comes out every 3 months, make SURE it's a recent copy. NADA is what the banks use to value. Remember the dealers in this to make as much as he can. DON"T TRUST THIS DEALERS VALUATIONS. They lied about the set-up, delivery and freight fee's. They said the costs are fixed because they don't make any money on the bike. That is a lie, many dealers negotiate the price of the bike and other fees and in many cases doing away with all the fees. They told me dealers all do what they do, not true. Connecticut adds on a mandatory doc fee, many other states don't, like NY, PA, NJ.. Their inflated doc. fee's are also negotiable. They inflated the doc. fee's and told me they have no control over it, LIARS! They didn't show me their fees upfront, the prices they quoted me didn't include their outrageous add on fees! AVOID THEM! Don't be manipulated by these gougers and save yourself some money! Remember, anyone can easily have their buddy's post on yelp to offset any negative PR. read more

He applied there and never got a call, because he is black of course. And they hired some chick who doesn't know anything lol crazy how the world works huh? You want a used motorcycle go to Wilkins motorsports in Brewster the guy is very friendly and he will work with you for bike payments. Lost four hours out of my day because I drove all the way to the store to view something listed as "New Inventory" on their website. Two hours each way. After scouring websites of dealers in my area none of them listed the bike I was looking for as being in inventory but Danbury Powersports. They have separate sections on their website for manufacturers vehicles where you expect to see everything that is available on the market, and a "New Inventory" section that is supposed to reflect what they have on their lot. Apparently they will lie about their inventory on their website to get you into the store, so they can give you the "I can order one for you" speech. I want to see it in person and sit in it before I lose a deposit on a vehicle you order for me. Next time I will call first, The only reason I didn't was because I had to leave well before they opened. read more

He was very helpful anyway on the phone. I called there AT LEAST 2 or 3 times for Advise and he listened to my story patiently and answered all my questions EA. TIME . He convinced me TO BUY my friends SCOOTER . I didn't know what it's was worth, didn't know what would be a fair price and didn't want to put too much into it neither. I told him how I researched on Kelly Blue book and the internet. HE WAS VERY PATIENT and WILLING TO OFFER ME ADVISE EVEN THOUGH I WASN'T his customer. HE HELPED ME MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS in terms of what was the right services to have done and what to expect or not expect from a bike that had been stored improperly for 15 years. He was looking out for me and didn't want me to get my hopes up on a bike that had Not been running for 15 years . He coached me in the right direction and helped me feel confident as to how to negotiate and move forward. Because he gave me the TIME OF DAY I decided to make Danbury Power Sports the go to place for me and my NEW USED Scooter. I ORDERED A LUXURY TRUNK that he was willing to install, did a few other minor services and didn't overcharge me . I'm really Grateful I wasn't taken advantage of because I'm a woman. Folks beware. Any dealing with this team, pay with credit card, get a legible receipt and keep it handy. When reviewing your "toy" after the work is done, review the "toy" from head-to-toe for damage. This was my first experience with service, I would be a fool if it was not my last experience. There were mistakes/issues with Parts and Service. The owner was aware of most of this, only apologies were offered. I came to Danbury Powersports for new tires on my VStar. I purchased tires that needed to be ordered as they were not in inventory. The person marked one tire "special order", other tire like it came from inventory. When I was called a few days later that the "tire" was in, I was told I needed to purchase the second tire. As I explained the situation that I purchased 2 tires, not one, I was told I needed to provide the receipt to prove I bought 2 tires. This was 5 days after buying tire. I was told their review of the sale did not indicate 2 tires were purchased. The ink on the receipt was not readable. I needed to copy receipt increasing contrast on the copy to fully see the transaction. I produced the receipt to the counter. They needed to review the issue with the manager the next day. Called the next day around 11:30 to be told the manager was aware of the issue and needed to make a decision. I had to stop by the shop to learn the manager ordered the tire, around 2:30 PM. No phone call, I had to contact them. No apology for the misunderstanding. When it was time to install the tires for a 9 AM appt, the store opening was delayed until 10:30. I needed to wait an additional 30 mins before someone would create a work ticket and move the bike in the shop. I was told at 11, should take 1-1.5 hrs. I went for a walk, came back at noon. Bike was completed 1:40. They knew I was waiting, a 1.5 hr job took 2.5 hrs. No explanation for the delay. I did not realize until I got home, one saddle bag was ripped. The one of the leather strap retainers was ripped out. I feel the mechanic was aware he damaged it. I will figure out how to fix it. Not sure what else will go wrong. This is a first for me, 2 transactions (Purchase part and Installation), and they missed reasonable expectations on both, damaged the saddle bag and hid that it happened. You have been warned. If you chose to use Danbury Powersports, make sure you protect yourself as I recommended above. If I lost the receipt, I might have lost $200 on the tire, maybe more. I suspect Danbury Powersports has done a number of transactions well or they would not remain in business. I understand that things go wrong. This was over the top. I hope they can cleanup their act. Doubt I will ever know. read more

Bought a new 2010 NT700V for a fair price. Arranged for dealer to register prior to my pickup. Not registered at pickup "Sorry, frankly I forgot". 500 mile checkup 2 weeks later Tech found both tires grossly under inflated. Told him he prepped the bike..he suggested slow leaks in both tires and advised my to keep close check on the tires. They also found bolts missing from passenger pegs. Again took no responsibility but did me a favor and ordered them...then charged me for the bolts. Not only negligent but they out right lied. I will never be back. read more

I have never written a review before, but I feel compelled to following my experience at Danbury Motorsports today. I called them to see if they had a particular part in stock. The clerk told me he had it in hand and gave me a description. It was exactly what I was looking for. When I got there, not only was the part nowhere to be found, but another clerk refused to get the clerk I spoke with to figure out where the disconnect was. He just kept looking in his computer and telling me that they don't have the part. The service is aweful. read more
