Heidi completely understood his fear and has been the most patient, kind, understanding, and calm person to help him get over his fear I have ever met. He now sits relatively quiet when she does his nails, she has been such a wonderful, calming presence to help my guy get over his fears. I love how they genuinely care about the needs of the pets. When we got home I took the scarf off and she immediately picked it up, smelt it, ( it smells like spa), licked it and walked around with it in her mouth. Currently she is sleeping on my lap wearing her scarf and seems very happy.. this groomer obviously makes my pup feel safe and comfortable. That's very important to me.. As I've moved around Northern California, I've been able to continue classes with Georgeanne. I've…read moretaken 4 dogs through her class starting at Santa Clara Dog Training Club. Georgeanne was one of my first instructors, and waaaay back then, many of the instructors were still using force training like pushing dogs into downs and sits. I can get any 8 week old puppy into a sit in 2 seconds so on earth would you ever need to push an adult dog into a down? Georgeanne was before her time, using praise and allowed her students to bring treats to reward the dogs-but, she's not a cookie pusher trainer. I learned a lot from Georgeanne and was able to show my dog in obedience which in a million years I never thought I would, or could because my dog didn't like being close to other dogs. After her classes, my dog learned to ignore other dogs and pay attention to me 100% of the time. A lot of trainers are set in their ways, and if you don't do it their way, then they don't like you as a student. I've quit many classes because of that. Georgeanne is different. She's sweet, patient, and never judges you. She'll also be honest with you. My last dog was pretty wild, and wasn't ready to go off leash for heeling. Georgeanne will tell you when is the right time for your dog to go off leash heeling and recalls. Nothing worse than having a loose dog disrupting the entire class. Georgeanne is talented trainer and also a good people person.

Our first pup came home with us about three years ago--a male, purebred Shih Tzu with the best demeanor you could ask for. He's been a fantastic family dog and has brought us so much joy. This past November, right around Christmas, we welcomed our second puppy--a Havashu female--and she is beyond adorable. She has beautiful markings, an amazing temperament, and fits perfectly into our family. The two dogs get along wonderfully, which speaks volumes about the care and socialization they receive early on. It's amazing she's 9 weeks old, and has had no problem transitioning to going to the bathroom outside when I take her (was originally litter box trained). She also has slept through both nights without whining or any accidents in her crate. We are having so much fun with her, but are also so impressed with the great breeding and care that Adrienne and her family provided to create such a wonderful dog. Working with Adrienne ahead of time was so easy, as she answered all my questions and kept me updated through the process. Upon getting Zoey, we got to see her play with her siblings, mom, and dad....the whole bichon family. The way Adrienne's kids cared for and said goodbye to the puppy was also testament of the treatment and love the dogs receive in their early stages.
