These guys have the goods, they specialize in Car Audio but pretty much have it all... Back up cameras, Bluetooth connections, in car monitors, etc. I went in because I have a 2008 Silverado ext cab and I wanted a better sound. I have been wanting some Boston Accoustic speakers for years and this was the only place in Indy who had them. They hooked up up with all replacement Boston Speakers. They also added Dynomat which by the way... I will never ever again add a speaker without it. They installed a DVD Headunit with a Alpine head unit power pack amp. I have a sytem that doesnt have a sub in it but you couldnt tell by the sound it! It rocks!! If I put in a movie it sounds movie theatre quality. O, by the way the radio they installed also had blue tooth calling. When I make calls people cant even tell. the installation process was tottally professional. Clean and neat, the blue tooth mic placed perfectly. The staff was very good, very helpful and very knowledgable. I wouldnt recommend getting a stereo install anywhere else. I made the mistake of going to Best Buy first, dont make the same mistake as me. read more

Stopped by with my equipment to get an install price, as suggested over the phone. I cannot remember the guys name at the desk, he was borderline rude for no reason. He kept trying to get me to return all of my brand new still in a box JL equipment and buy their Alpine equipment that was supposed to be superior. Their install prices were way overpriced, of course they take off $220 if I buy their equipment, how convenient, still overpriced. I'm not sure why such high ratings but when I receive such bad customer service from a business and see high ratings, I assume these 5 stars are fake reviews. read more

I thought I could put in a radio in my Jeep Wrangle on my own and turns out I can't. Josh, the owner, was awesome. I brought in a mess with car apart and white everywhere. It was a mess. I was ashamed that I bought the cheapest Car Play radio I could find and I couldn't install it. Josh was super helpful and never judge mental. Took my truck there for a complete upgrade to my system including amp, subs internal speakers, etc. I went with their most expensive recommendation because if I was going to do it, I was going to do it right. After I got the car back, I realized that if I turned my volume above 20, it would start cutting out. Then a few weeks later the amp went out entirely. They are only open 9-5 M-F so I had to take a day off to take it back in. They said it was the amp so they replaced it. They also said it was cutting out because my car was indicating that I was going to blow out my speakers. They said they fixed that too. I left after that initial fix, not realizing I would be back when my sub blew out. They didn't have that sub in stock so they gave me a loaner. They told me my speaker would be in stock in July. They never called. I called them at the end of July and they said the speaker was back ordered to August. They did come to my house and installed that speaker a month later. A couple weeks later, that speaker blew. This time they told me I was limited because of the size of my amp. I didn't want to limit the size my amp, I just wanted it to sound great, whatever it took. They finally "fixed it" and I'm sure it won't blow out again but after $5k and months of hassle, I have a system that's a little bit better than what I started with because the didn't install an amp with enough power to do what I originally asked for. Got a remote start here. Had a couple of glitches when I first got the starter but it thought that was normal. After 3 months all of the warning signals started popping up, the odometer stopped working and I couldn't put the car into park after driving it without turning the key. I took it to the dealer to check out the system and they let me know that there was a problem with the remote start. I took it to Audio and they removed the starter after keeping my car for 3 days. But they did not refund me (400 dollars) after all of my inconvenience. read more

Incompetent, overpriced and condescending. I've been here twice in a month. I had single din radio installed ($97) and some door speakers put in ($119) in a little Ford Focus hatchback. I had purchased everything via Crutchfield and supplied them with everything needed: wiring harness, adapters, etc. The $216 was simply for labor and these were really basic jobs. I called Best Buy's Geek Squad in Castleton as I was sitting there. They told me $70.00 for a single din install. The microphone with my radio for bluetooth was included that price. Audio Electronics wanted an additional $30 to hook it up. Also, Best Buy didn't need an appointment like Audio Electronics needs. I think these guys cater more to the expensive installs, luxury SUV's that are being fitted with amps , navigation, hdtv's , subs, etc. Your regular joe's need to head some where else. The owner is definitely quirky as others have stated.. He has kind of a weird demeanor; It seemed like he was annoyed I was even in the shop. Who knows? I believe in supporting the local businesses but I'll pass on this one in the future. Revised: 4/16/16 One of the front speakers just gave out as I was driving. I called AE and they wanted me to schedule an appt to trouble shoot. I took the car up to Best Buy instead. Their tech opened the door panel and discovered the speaker was not hooked up properly. He then preceded to fix it for free. I made him take $20 for doing it though. Revised: 5/14/16 Amazingly, the other speaker's wiring came loose and I had to have Best Buy fix that as well. Unfortunately, I cannot not really use the language on here I'd like to in order to describe these idiotic s.o.b's. Revised: 9/04/16 The Kenwood deck they put in acted defective. I thought it was the unit so I sent in for warranty repair. The warranty people told me the install was bad. So, I blew over $200 bucks for absolute incompetence from Audio Electronics. Everything they did for me failed. I can't believe they're in business. Not only was I overcharged by Audio Electronics but they couldn't even do a basic install on a Ford Focus. You can trust them if you want. They act like they're doing you a big favor too. What a joke. read more

I messaged several shops to see if they could test my amplifier and Robert was one of the few shops that actually responded. His messages were very knowledgeable and he asked very pointed questions. I brought the amp in and Robert took a look at it. He wasn't able to test it, because of the specialized fiber optic connection, but was nice enough to inspect it and give me some advice free of charge. I felt they were the only installers I could trust to not screw up the job and turn my van into a lemon. They did a fantastic job and everything still works like a factory system 5 years later. The rest of the employees like to take their time when helping a long line of customers. It was not a positive experience, but my remote start works. Very Unprofessional and Unorganized. I payed $300 and made an appointment a week out to simply replace the front speakers in my jeep. The job was suppose to take two hours but when I showed up to the store for car pickup, they FORGOT about my car. My car didn't get worked on and I wasted a great deal of time with arranging for other transportation to get to and from the store. The people are friendly here and seem to know their stuff. I bought a car radio/cd HD player to be installed. We set up an appt. and they did it in 45 minutes, less than the 1 hour they said it would be so that was nice. We got into the car and the system sounded very nice, but the car's alert system didn't. Apparently the alert system is tied into the radio so when you change your radio you change your alert tone. This alert tone was high pitched and annoyingly loud. I went home thinking maybe I'd get used to it. Later, when my husband got into the car he thought the tone was so bad it would be impossible to get used to. I called them back and they said they'd check on seeing if they could make it lower pitched and call me back. They didn't call back as promised so almost a week later I called again. They said they could change it so I went in for another 45 minute appt. The new alert system was good and they did it free of charge and without hassle. Because they didn't call back and I made 2 trips they only get 2 stars. read more
