He convinced me back then to get a set of hearing aids (even though I was only in my 40s!) to help cope with a case of tinnitus in my right ear. Throughout the years, I've found Dr. Cohen to be a great professional--always kind, considerate, understanding, and knowledgable about aids and other solutions that meet my challenging needs. This was especially true when my tinnitus bloomed to full-on single-sided deafness. (I completely lost hearing in my right ear due to surgery in 2013 to remove a golf ball sized acoustic neuroma--or benign brain tumor--which also destroyed my right ear's hearing nerve.) His current office, shared with an optometrist/eye glass store, might not look like much. But it doesn't impact the type and level of service and support he provides! (In fact, I think his "low-overhead" approach probably saved me SEVERAL thousands of dollars over a mid-town audiologist's office offering the same top-end hearing aids.) I would definitely recommend giving Dr. Cohen for your hearing challenges. I think you'll find his no-pressure, gentle approach to be very refreshing!

I was given a loaner pair and originals were sent back to the factory. Since the loaners were better than the originals and I was told due to the holidays being so close it may take a bit of time for the repair I didn't call the office. However, I did send an email msg to the audiologist stating I liked the loaners. Today, 1/19 I received a call on my landline telling me the originals were back and they've been trying to reach me for at least 3 weeks and all calls directed to my cell went directly to voice mail and they then claim they texted me with no response. There were no missed calls as there would have been a record and no text. As a matter of fact, this is not the first time I've been told calls have been made and gone directly to voice mail from this company. I'm pleased with the hearing aids but not with what I perceive as dishonesty to cover their office inadequacies. I'm sure that my warranty will now be invalid due to this review. I hope not.

Finally found her in Maine her tel no is 207-244-8277 for anyone else out there who has been left without their medical records. She won't give them to you and will tell you to contact Miracle Ear but then won't give contact info for them. She was soooo defensive, I am pretty convinced something is not right. Dr. Esca diagnosed my hearing loss and suggested my getting top-of-the-line hearing aids for $1000 less than the other place on a half-price sale. Dr. Esca knows what she is doing. She's professional and approachable with patients' questions about follow-up, costs, and recommendations.

Since then, over the past year, I have had to deal more with the front desk to get appointments, or support. They are rude and unprofessional to deal with and make it impossible to get the care and follow up needed. For example, last year, I purchased pricey new hearing aids from them with a warranty which included servicing and support for the first year. Shortly after purchase, one of my hearing aids became very uncomfortable to wear and my ear felt irritated. I called the front desk several times and explained that I needed to speak with or see an audiologist. The front desk refused to help me. I was told that their audiologists were not available and even if they were, that they could not help me or even speak with me. The front desk representative told me that they do not have Ear doctors associated with this audiology group which was why they could not help me. I finally went to urgent care, and it turned out that a small piece of the tip of the hearing aid had become lodged in my ear canal. The nurse was able to easily assist me, but my ear drum was very irritated due to the conduct of this audiology group. Since then, the front desk representatives have continued to be extremely difficult to deal with. Even getting an appointment with an audiologist over the summer when one of my hearing aids was accidentally damaged was difficult. I have now switched to another audiology group.
