The installation with them went smoothly I was very happy. However, the post-support experience was a different story. I emailed and called them multiple times, but I never received a response. Later, I discovered that the phone number in my Control4 to contact them was incorrect, but the email address I used was correct so that is on them. After a month of waiting, I finally reached someone via phone and asked for some programming changes. A few days later I noticed that some of my requests had been completed but not the rest. I had to chase them down to thank them for doing while inquiring when I could expect the rest. What's most frustrating about this whole process is all but one of my emails went unanswered and they responded to me as if I was just saying Hello. A few days ago, I finally spoke with an Ethan was friendly and promised to be my liaison. However, my request to have programming done for my Control4 to include my Marantz receiver has not progressed at all and there has been no communication. I would not have a problem if it took them 30 days to complete the issue, but the lack of communication is appalling. It's been a horrible experience. I happen to own a complimentary business to theirs and unfortunately would not be able to recommend them. read more

We hired Bob and his team to complete a full control 4 system at our home, wire and install a fully integrated theater system, outdoor/indoor speakers, security cameras, automated blinds, and installation of new tvs in virtually every room. His team was not the cheapest but you pay for what you get. I owned and operated an electrical company in Washington state that was very large and i had certain standards. I wasn't sure what the expectations would be down in Arizona. From day one Bob was never pushy, he offered suggestions and ultimately completed our project on time and as promised. A job this size always comes with drywall damage and I knew that going into it. But it was very minor and at the end of the project you literally cannot notice any repairs. This company definitely knows high end home service for sure. Upon completion, the programming team came out to politely show my wife and I how the system worked from our phones, tablets, and more. Not once did our questions get overlooked the team took the time to log us into everything and I couldn't be more happy with the end result. Once we had more time to understand the system we added even more light switches to the program. The company agreed to install a component, then canceled saying the tech was sick and needed to reschedule. Later they said they would not come out unless the job was worth over $600. I contacted this company in early 2023 regarding purchasing a component for my sound system and the company could come and attach the unit. After a month, I purchased a Blue Sound Vault 2. Although I'm good with numbers, I'm not good with wires. An appointment was set for the company to come install the unit and verify it was working properly. On the day of the appointment, I received a call that the tech was ill and we needed to reschedule. I called a couple of times to reschedule and was advised they were busy. Finally, after approx 6 months, I was told that the job was not worth enough for them to send someone out to attached the unit. The job had to be worth over $600 for them to come out. I'm not certain if people will want to do business with a company that doesn't keep their word. read more

When we moved into our Scottsdale home 5 years ago, we inherited a very fine AV but aging AV system. AVE installed my Atmos home theatre with Anthem MRX1120 receiver, Oppo BDP-103, Sonus Faber Venere 2.5 for the front speakers, REL T-9 front sub, REL T-7 rear sub, B&W in ceiling speakers for the rear surrounds (4) and Atmos location speakers (4); The sound is awesome and will only get better as more content come in Atmos surround. The Anthem is clean and powerful and delivers to all 11 channels. The REL subs give the Sonus Fabers a fuller sound and pressurize the room so the experience is enveloping even at lower volumes. I have not used the DTS play-fi yet, but I am looking forward to whole house audio as well. Bob and Kris advised on the equipment based on my budget and they got it right. The AVE installer Brian also updated our router/Wifi. Next is the big screen and projector when the budget permits. read more

It isn't just the products that make for a great experience, it's the people. My goal was to be able to stream music in 5 rooms, individually or linked. I also wanted to upgrade one of my TVs and relocate two others while getting rid of the 5 remotes that each TV required. Christian was terrific at identifying what I needed (and didn't need) to give me music in every room. He helped upgrade an old router and even older Cox boxes. I can't begin to count all the cords and wires that were removed because they were no longer necessary. Imagine, no more wire rats nests behind all my components! Now, with the aid of my iPhone, universal remotes and Apple TV, I can seamlessly stream music and TV. Even better, I have 10 old remotes that can go in the trash bin! The crew was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and willing to help in every way. They went above and beyond to update old equipment so that everything would work together seamlessly and made the 2-day installation a breeze. And best of all, since I'm "old", they made sure I understood how to work the equipment. If it were an option, I'd give them 10 stars instead of 5! read more

As a contractor, I have and continue to work with so many trades. In my professional experience, my multiple encounters with AVE has been truly disappointing. My family and I moved in to a house that had equipment installed by them from the previous residents. I had them out to set us up, and they left to go on another appointment without finishing the discussed work. I called back and they wanted to charge more to finish it. When they were out, they lost one of our wifi networks. I called to have them fix their mistake for free, or to provide me the login information so I could have someone else do so. They chose not to provide me OUR login information, and fixed it remotely...then sent me a bill! I am paying COX for 300bps wifi speed, but when it gets to AVE's router switch, it drops down to 50bps. I have called numerous times to see how and what we can do to fix the problem...and nobody will get back to me. read more
