I had these guys put in a home system. House already pre wired. I've had some issues two months in and George refuses to address these issues. He sold me wireless google cameras and one never worked. He told me to contact google to take care of replacement. That's not customer service. Very poor customer service. Ok, so I read these 'wonderful' reviews on here, and to say the least, I'm truly disappointed. My appointment was set between 2 - 4 today, and the guy they sent didn't show up till 4:50. I'm a really nice person, and I have a lot of patience, but I work in customer service myself, and I know how valuable time is. I'm not pointing fingers at the employee, who by the way, made an effort to make the appointment as quick as possible, but I'm more upset at not having a commitment to the time that was set for the appointment. We live in LA, I get it, things happen, but with that said, if you schedule an appointment between 2-4, I expect the person who's doing the call to show up between that time, considering I have a very tight schedule and had other commitments. read more

The techs did a pretty terrific job and were done in no time; they seemed like good guys, and were very easy to talk to and work with. They even offered to swing back by and do some other touch ups with wiring. Nice experience overall. I called in Thursday afternoon to schedule 2 TV mount installs after getting the run around from Geek Squad. I was off the phone in less than 5 minutes & was promised an appointment later that same evening. Brain called me multiple times throughout the day to keep reconfirming the time - awesome! Best part of all, he was willing to come after 8pm which was perfect for my work schedule. The work he did was quick & absolutely perfect. He even insisted on vacuuming up the mess (which I was more than willing to do). Two days later I called them again to move my living room TV. He was even faster this time than before. I would stick my hand in an electric socket before using this company again. This company is the WORST! I hired them to have the video monitors on my home security system repaired so they would cycle through each camera on the screen. They said that they couldn't fix the problem, that I needed to buy new equipment HOWEVER THEY CHARGED ME FOR REPAIRING MY SYSTEM. Another company came and fixed it without needing new equipment. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, THEY SUED ME IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT TO COLLECT PAYMENT. We met because the court made us negotiate. The person from AVK agreed that they did not fix my system and that they didn't know how to fix my system. He wouldn't budge from the amount he was charging. I hired AudioVideoKing after the company that's most recommended on Yelp turned out to be too busy to help me hook up my system. I guess it's weird, but I was a little worried by how professional AVK seemed, with an answering service and calls to remind me of my service appointment, because it seemed like I wouldn't be getting the personal service of an owner-operator. Totally not the case! I was assigned Zik and Zee, who showed up on time and were very courteous. At first there was some confusion over what I'd requested when I called and what they'd been told they would be doing. In addition to reconnecting all the components of our AV system following a move, I needed them to hang two rear-channel speakers from my ceiling. They called their boss and then he called me and we got it all straightened out. Zik and Zee very gamely crawled all over our attic fishing cables and had the speakers installed in no time. Then they hooked up our fairly complicated system and tested all the components to make sure they worked. I can't tell you how great it was to have somebody else mess with that huge tangle of cords and get everything running for us! I'd definitely recommend AudioVisualKing for anyone who's overwhelmed by the thought of reconstructing their AV system after a move. read more

I've always wanted a little media room where I could watch my movies on a large screen with great sound and a big bowl of popcorn. I purchased some really nice equipment from the Magnolia section at Best Buy. NICE hi-def projector, great speakers, sub-woofer, Blue Ray, etc. I can't complain about the equipment, they really took care of me. I just thought their price for installing it all was just a bit high. I knew it would involve fishing the wires through the wall and all that, but I figured I'd hold out for a better price. I initially called a company called Install Nation. Then I called them again, then again, then again, every time leaving a voice mail with my information. At the same time, I was leaving them emails on their website. I never heard from them. Then I checked out AudioVideoKing. I called the number and Zik answered on the first ring. WOW. I told him what I needed, he quoted me a great price, and even offered to come the next day if I wanted. We settled on a Thursday. When Zik and his assistant arrived, I was amazed at how quick and efficient they were. They cleaned up as they went along and did a great fishing job on the wires. I was very impressed at what attention to detail Zik has when installing. He would not stop until the picture was perfect and fit perfectly on my screen. After all that work, he stuck to the agreed price and gave me his number and info in case I had any problems (which I have not, it works GREAT). I couldn't be happier with the job and the finished product. I have my media room and now I can't wait for the World Series!!! A nine foot screen makes ALL the difference!! This service provider was great! I called George and told him that I needed my security cameras adjusted. I was a little apprehensive because he wasn't familiar with my brand of camera. He used a great car analogy and I agreed to the service. Manny, the technician, was right on time. He had zero problems adjusting the cameras. He knew exactly what to do and did it well. He didn't stop until I had what I wanted. The best thing is Manny wasn't working the day I called for service. He was out and about with his wife, who was waiting in the car in almost 90 degree weather, when he stopped to help me. Now, that's service! I am extremely busy today, but I had to take the time today to write this review about Audio Video King, especially because of Brian. I am in the midst of a move, and I have a lot of things to take care of during this relocation across town to Venice. Thank God I found Brian and Auido Video King. I just purchased a new 65 inch smart TV, and I wanted it mounted on my wall right away. I tried having someone else come in to install it, and the result was half complete and a mess. I found Audio Video King and I am beyond impressed. Brian came to my loft and he went above and beyond to listen to my needs, and let me know exactly what needed to be done to correct my installation. He not only made my TV look exactly the way I wanted it to look, but he made it look even better. He was so friendly, courteous and professional, and he wasn't in a hurry. I was missing an extension cord and he was willing to take the extra time to wait until we got it. I was impressed with his overall knowledge of Audio/ video components, and he answered a lot of my questions that I had about how I could grow and add on to my multi media at my loft. Wow, this story gets worse. George calls me expressing concern about the review. Asks how they can make me happy and earn more business. I tell him, I've paid an electrician to come fix all their errors, so they can't fix their errors. Plus I don't want them anywhere near my house. He offers a refund of about 25% of what I paid them, and far less than what I've paid the electrician to fix the problems, if I would remove the bad Yelp review. We then discuss their creating fire hazards in their electrical wiring. He says, wiring to comply with the code is an additional option that customers are offered. We were never offered that option. But more importantly, electricians would lose their licenses if they violated the building codes in wiring. But this company apparently willingly violates all building codes. It's hard to imagine this situation getting worse but it has. It's hard to imagine people paying for this bad service. No they won't get any more business from me, they can never earn their way back. read more

His work was complete and in the end, we have professionally installed TV's and a projector mounted to the ceiling. WARNING - HIGHLY DANGEROUS. They mounted my television on the wall and fed an extension cord through wall which warned that it was never to be used through wall. When I discovered this, I called and they told me that if I wanted it to be done properly, I would have to pay a much higher amount for "proper" electrical work. What kind of company uses unsafe wiring and then tells you to pay more if you want to be safe? USE THESE GUYS WITH EXTREME CAUTION. read more
