I used this Company last year for mowing. With increasing demands at work, I no longer had the time to take care of lawn care myself. They did a fine job and kept my yard looking good all Summer. They even called me a couple times to say the lawn didn't really need mowing and gave me the option to mow or not to mow, definitely appreciated. The prices were very reasonable. I got a spring clean up reminder email and a follow up post card. When i finally called they came the very next day and in a flash my Spring clean up chore was done and over with. We are very pleased and happy they will be taking care of the mowing duties again this year. read more

I've used this company for a couple years now for mowing and lawn clean up. I have noticed that their service has gotten worse and worse as time has gone on. They've often tried to bill me for weeks that they never came. If I wasn't on top of things and paying attention I would have paid them money that I didn't owe. Often times I was not happy with the job they did mowing our lawn. This past Fall during our yard clean-up, they over charged us for things that they could not have possibly done (such as clean up acorns) when we have no acorns in our yard. They also charged us for storm cleanup which is something we never agreed to and we had no trees, tree limbs, or branches to be cleaned up. I've grown frustrated with having to keep on top of them and make sure I'm not being overcharged. Unfortunately I cannot recommend them and I will be looking for another company this spring. read more

Not good! I hired auger to provide several services including spring clean up. The service was about $400. My hope was they would do a great job for that much money. they did a terrible job! They blew my leaves into my neighbors yard and left many spot undone. I had the owner come over to see my yard when his crew finished. I also sent pictures. He refused to see any problem with the job and had an excuse for all my complaints. He did say he would do it again, and again it was the worst job ever. Love them, originally hired them because I was out of town for 6 weeks and they did 2 of my neighbors. I have been back for 2 months and talked my wife in to letting me keep them for the rest of the year. Just bought a Deere mower in the spring so she gave me some trouble about keeping them for next year. I will have to think of something... The guys who do the lawn are good and friendly. We've used their lawn services since we moved into our home. My husband called them to take up the Fall leaves in our yard and specifically asked the front office to be sure to tell the lawn people not to dump the debris in our side woods. They were here for less than an hour and my husband watched them throw the debris into our woods! I called to question not only the amount we were charged but about the dumping as well. I had to leave two messages and write an email before the office called me back. After speaking with a woman said she'd look into it and give me a call back. I was never called back! Hired Auger to do a large front yard remodel and had met with the owner, Marty Auger on a few occassions to make sure that we were on the same page. On the day of the work, Marty came out with his team to walk them through the property and make sure that each and every one understood the scope of the work. I was onsite and thought this was a very good approach. All of the workers appeared professional as they were wearing company shirts. They has a bobcat for some of the work and they did lots of manual labor to prep the areas. I was asked to contact Marty to discuss some of the concerns on the billing for this project and I think that is great. He wants to know my areas of concern and work to address them.Just as an example, one of the works told me they thought that a specific rock would look really nice in one of the created beds." I said sounds good and they rolled the rock about 10 feet to its final resting place. That rock moving was a $20.00 line item on the bill, which I was not told was going to be a cost up front. Auger also completes my weekly grass cutting and they have been very consistent. I am happy to have them starting to clean up my yard. read more

This company is completely overpriced...I hired them last year to do a spring clean up and plant 6 semi-mature bushes. They charged me $1600.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! Charged me a separate fee for "acorn pickup"...and instead of planting bushes or shrubs, the guy panted 6 SMALL azaleas. One died the day he put it in and 2 didn't survive the winter! I called and explained that I was upset and wanted a call back. NO CALL BACK! DO NOT USE THIS company unless you want to totally screwed! read more

We called them to clean up our long lawn since we just built our house and the grass was finally growing and filling in...we asked them to weed wack up at the top of our yard as well. They did not touch the top of our yard and it was cut off very awkwardly. I called and explain the situation and the girl who answers the phone explained that they would come out and fix it no problem....no one ever showed up...I had the same conversation with the same girl two more times...we left it that she was really going to have someone come fix it. They never came...we got an invoice in the mail with a small credit to our bill saying "Sorry we did not make it out there. Have your new landscape people cut it. Thanks!" Needless to say, they just lost a customer and any referral business from us. Very disappointed. read more

It's an absolute pleasure to leave the first review of this awful business and hopefully save all you some money in the process. I would highly discourage anyone from using this company. We had them out to the house to clean the rock beds of debris and spray for weeds as well as re-edging of the beds. They came to the house and were there for 20 minutes, used a blower on the beds (which didn't even clean the debris), sprayed quickly, and reedged about 1/10 of the rock bed and left before we could even touch base with them. This rediculously awful and sloppy service was quickly followed by a bill. Several calls were made to the company with NONE of them returned. Even after refusing to return calls they had the nerve to send another bill a few days later with a $10 late payment charge. Again calls placed and none returned. We finally gave up and paid the bill after the company threatened collections. I would highly discourage anyone who cares about their hard earned money to avoid this sham of a company and use several of the other more reputable options in the area. A better business bureau complaint has been filed, and I'm guessing its not the first.... read more

Having used Auger for various services (spring cleanup, fall cleanup, weekly mowing, snow cleanup, yard rehaul, irrigation system install, mulching, etc.) over the last 3 years, I can say without hesitation that, 1.) their work is excellent. 2.) they are very easy to deal with. Marty handles quoting, design, and job oversight; Jennifer handles the back-end. Both do a very good job. Their crew is professional (in appearance and behavior) and efficient. With the weekly recurring services, it's a set it and forget it type of deal. The coupons in the mail help too. And they never try to sell you jobs that you might not need. My yard has gone from a mess to among the nicer ones in the neighborhood. In my opinion, they are the best landscaping company in this area read more
