I come here for my regular teeth cleanings and I never have to wait in the waiting room for more than 5 min. Everyone is friendly, professional, and efficient. Dr Nguyen definitely cares about giving you the best care she can. I also came to Dr Nguyen for a second opinion for a tooth implant that was in trouble. She has a specialist prosthodontist that comes in monthly (Dr. Shah) who explained all my options very clearly and did the procedure without a problem. The office is very cost conscious and worked with my insurance insurance so that I was taking advantage of all of my benefits. Would highly recommend this office!!! Bonus: for any longer procedures, they have netflix on the tv for you to watch to pass the time!

She also stated that if your appointment is missed, they pocket the deposit completely. This is a little outrageous as copays at a specialty dentist such as this can get pricey. Despite what their patient forms on their own website say, Sara stated that this is a new policy and wouldn't take a $50 deposit for a new appointment. Asked to speak with a Doctor but was told none were available.

They were only able to get the front x-rays. Dr. Lindquist performed the examination. She said he had 6 cavities and suggested a rather aggressive treatment of 6 crowns + root removal and sealants on the back teeth...I felt rather steamrolled after the appointment. I scheduled his procedure but took him for a second opinion elsewhere where they were able to do a full set of x-rays and after the exam they said my son had 4 cavities and would need one crown and 3 fillings. I will not go back to Children's Dentistry of Central Texas in San Marcos. I just wanted to share my experience in case it helps any other parents.

THE DENTIST couldn't figure out which tooth was causing the abscess, then suggested extraction and bone graft. When he declined the $1000+ immediate treatment, she went straight to drug seeker mode. No plan for fillings or anything. She told him, in a very accusatory and rude tone, that they won't keep doing refills on antibiotics (he isn't on antibiotics, yet) and they WILL NOT be giving him painkillers. What the heck!?! They were so rude and disrespectful. We won't be going back, and recommend that if you need LEGIT dental work, don't go there.

This was our first visit to Crescent Dental, and will be our last!…read more My wife cracked a tooth on a Friday afternoon, and our regular dentist was closed. My daughter was a patient at Crescent, so we thought we would try them, and a least get my wife some temporary relief until we could see our regular dentist on Monday. It was decided that the tooth needed to be extracted, and so that was done. The wound was bleeding terribly in the office, but since it was Friday afternoon we were rushed out and given a few guaze pads. Once we got in the car to head home, the wound started bleeding even worse. Since we were still in the parking lot, we went back to the office and tried to get more guaze, since by then my wife was bleeding profusely. Once we finally FOUND someone in the office, they gave us like 3 more guaze pads (generous!) and sent us on our way. (Luckily Wal-mart was close by and I was able to buy a couple packages of guaze). Later that evening, the bleeding had still not stopped so we decided a trip to the ER was in order. We found out there, the stitches done by the dentist were not ample to close the wound (an exposed vessel) and it most likely would have never stopped bleeding. Then, for the icing on the cake, a few weeks later my daughter was harassed (both by phone and in person during an appointment) in regard to an insurance question on OUR account! She is not listed as a billing contact, and is not even on the same insurance policy as my wife and I. Why was our billing information disclosed to a family member when WE had not even been contacted about the issue? (which was easily rectified once we were informed of it (second hand)). Needless to say, we wont be coming back, and will not recommend Crescent Dental to anyone.

My daughter started seeing an orthodontist at a young age because of a tongue thrust; I never felt like I was being pressured to do anything. Rather, I felt confident everything recommended was evidence based. (For example, we were able to skip a 'tongue cage' because of more conservative speech therapist/ortho recommend tongue training exercises. But the thing that made me know I made the right choice was when I had to cancel an appointment at the last minute because my grandmother passed away unexpectedly and I wanted to be with my mom; they were not only completely understanding and supportive but they also sent a really kind condolence card. The arrogant and snooty woman who does the insurance billing does not return calls and is unethical. I had a signed contract for gum surgery for $1259.00 and paid my required portion of $553.00. The insurance was supposed to pay $706.00. She billed the insurance company $3425 and took $2400. After months of disputing the billing, I was told they could not refund me but $78.00. My other billing procedures have been the same dealing with this woman. I will never walk through their door again!

When I was in need of braces, I called EZ Braces first. I was hoping to do Invisalign, but my case…read morewas too complex (awesome! not.) so I had to go full on metal mouth for three years of my adult life. Despite the constant plucking of broccoli from under the wire and biting my tongue in the appliance I had to wear, it was definitely worth the experience. Dr. Cabaniss is patient and thorough. He asked me lots of questions before I even got the braces on so he could make sure we went down the proper treatment road and didn't have to backtrack. One of the questions he asked me was if I had a lot of headaches, which I did...almost every day. I had to wear an appliance that moved my jaw so my bite was corrected, and I have had very few regular headaches since (only migraines, which I was blessed with from my paternal side). My wedding date was in the middle of my treatment plan and I was able to get the front braces removed so that I could have beautiful pictures taken without the awful glare of the sun in my teeth. The receptionist, Susan, is very friendly, and I felt that all of the techs who replaced my rubber bands and/or brackets each month were very nice and seemed to enjoy their job. My only concern is that I didn't see the same techs each month and most of them seemed to be learning the orthodontic ways with me as the guinea pig. This could be because their main office is in Taylor so they might bring different techs from their regular dental office each time to give them experience, or maybe they have high turnover, I don't know. Nevertheless, I feel that the experience was worth the hassle of braces, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the employees and EZ Braces overall.

Though it's a bit pricey here, I feel it's pretty worth the service and results. My teeth were straight in one year and now I have a fabulous smile. :) I'm in the process of whitening my teeth with their kits and custom-made teeth trays and the results are showing! One other thing was the fact that dental assistants switch off pretty often, so you never know who you're going to get for your monthly appointments. But all the staff is friendly either way. And a tidbit of advice: If you hear a deal, make absolute sure you print out the coupon and turn it in to them! You don't want to end up paying out-of-pocket expenses.
