The massage itself started well, and I have no complaints about the massage therapist. He was doing a good job and was not responsible for the issue. The problem was the environment. About 15 minutes into my session, a who was doing massages when I began my session --who appeared to run the business began making and taking loud phone calls just a few feet away from the massage rooms. There were loud conversations, including calls on speakerphone, that continued despite the massage therapist using a translator to communicate that the noise was disrupting my session. As someone who practices mindfulness and meditation, I genuinely tried to remain present and relaxed, but relaxation is nearly impossible when loud conversations are happening continuously nearby. When I left, the lobby was crowded with several people, and the atmosphere felt more like a busy marketplace than a professional wellness space. What disappointed me most was the lack of acknowledgment or apology. After expressing my concern, I felt rushed out while business transactions and phone calls continued. I feel bad for the massage therapist because he did nothing wrong. However, the person managing the business showed very little regard for the peaceful, respectful environment that a massage and wellness experience should provide. This was supposed to be a birthday gift to myself, and instead, it became a lesson: trust your initial instincts. If your gut tells you something feels off, listen. If you genuinely value peace, relaxation, and a professional massage experience, I personally would not recommend this place.

This is one of the worst places that I have ever gone to…read more First, the place is hidden behind a store. When you walk up, it's an old house, that's not in very good shape. You walk in to the main waiting area to "check in" and pay. If it's not too busy, there may be 1 or more providers just hanging around in the front room...something you never see in a more traditional massage facility. If you have an appointment with a specific provider, she will will escort you to a room. If you don't have an appointment, you will be assigned one of the providers hanging out in the front room. NOTE: There's a reason they're hanging around in the front room and don't have set appointments...clients don't wish to schedule with them...so you get what you pay for. You are escorted to one of their rooms. I have been in several of the rooms, including one in the basement. More times than not, these rooms are not the nicest. And then there's the massage. What can I say...they are nothing more than a basic rub-down. Although to be fair, of the handful of massages that I have had there, I did have one provider who provided an above average massage. I'm not sure if all of the providers are licensed massage therapists. Perhaps you should ask to see the provider's license when you enter the room? At any rate...this should be the last place you should go for a massage.

The interior isn't quite up to the standards of the highest-end spas downtown, but it's clean, pleasant, and very relaxing. Sure - it's not quite as nice - but you're saving an hour or more of driving time, plus tolls, gas, etc. And the quality of the most important thing - the massage - is as good as it gets. All of the therapists I've seen are great, but Sandra is my favorite. She's really amazing. Patient, thoughtful, and incredibly skilled. Definitely ask for her if she's available.

I had originally joined because I followed Ebonee from Massage Envy in Dedham and Quincy, and she moved to Elements in Needham. I was able to get one massage from Ebonee and then she was no longer at Elements in Needham. I was able to find two very senior comparable therapists to Ebonee, Steve Therrien, LMT and Shermese Whitsey, LMT. Steve was absolutely outstanding as a masseuse, and Steve was the most senior therapist at this Needham location. Shermese was excellent too, and she is also no longer here. I found out that both masseuses are now at Restorative Massages and Wellness, LLC in Norwood, and the owner, Isaac, is a masseuse himself, and he treats everyone at this location incredibly well. The location is incredibly clean, and the staff that works here is very professional too. I would not have cancelled my membership had Steve and Shermese stayed at Elements Massage in Needham. I will miss Lauren who works at the front desk.

I had tried for the last six weeks to get a massage with a specific therapist. I booked three appointments, and the first two were cancelled with almost no notice beforehand because the therapist was sick. The third visit I was at the business when I learned the therapist had car problems and wouldn't be in. I get it--life happens. Today, I had an onset of the stomach flu, and I called to cancel approximately 26 hours before my apt. When I did, I was told that I was outside the 24 hour window, so I could use a credit ($130) because I was cancelling, or my charge card could be billed for half a session ($65) for cancelling, or I could come in and not have a penalty. Would you want someone with the stomach flu coming in to where you are getting a massage? Would you want your staff exposed to that? My guess is that the owner doesn't care because the employees don't have any sick time. I've never missed an appointment or cancelled with less than 24 hours before. And this was my 4th time trying to get a massage. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt to this business when their staff had issues, but it's crazy to make me chose between paying an extra fee and not losing money but potentially infecting other clients and staff. Please, please, please take your business elsewhere. We need businesses that care about their clients and staff, bother to take advantage of them.
