Be warned. The management here is a money grubbing, unethical man who is willing to put the health of his staff on the line to make a buck. I had tried for the last six weeks to get a massage with a specific therapist. I booked three appointments, and the first two were cancelled with almost no notice beforehand because the therapist was sick. The third visit I was at the business when I learned the therapist had car problems and wouldn't be in. I get it--life happens. Today, I had an onset of the stomach flu, and I called to cancel approximately 26 hours before my apt. When I did, I was told that I was outside the 24 hour window, so I could use a credit ($130) because I was cancelling, or my charge card could be billed for half a session ($65) for cancelling, or I could come in and not have a penalty. Would you want someone with the stomach flu coming in to where you are getting a massage? Would you want your staff exposed to that? My guess is that the owner doesn't care because the employees don't have any sick time. I've never missed an appointment or cancelled with less than 24 hours before. And this was my 4th time trying to get a massage. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt to this business when their staff had issues, but it's crazy to make me chose between paying an extra fee and not losing money but potentially infecting other clients and staff. Please, please, please take your business elsewhere. We need businesses that care about their clients and staff, bother to take advantage of them. read more

I have been going to Elements Massage since they opened, and I cancelled my membership, because the two top therapists are no longer there. I had originally joined because I followed Ebonee from Massage Envy in Dedham and Quincy, and she moved to Elements in Needham. I was able to get one massage from Ebonee and then she was no longer at Elements in Needham. I was able to find two very senior comparable therapists to Ebonee, Steve Therrien, LMT and Shermese Whitsey, LMT. Steve was absolutely outstanding as a masseuse, and Steve was the most senior therapist at this Needham location. Shermese was excellent too, and she is also no longer here. I found out that both masseuses are now at Restorative Massages and Wellness, LLC in Norwood, and the owner, Isaac, is a masseuse himself, and he treats everyone at this location incredibly well. The location is incredibly clean, and the staff that works here is very professional too. I would not have cancelled my membership had Steve and Shermese stayed at Elements Massage in Needham. I will miss Lauren who works at the front desk. read more

Go to any other elements studio. The manager will charge your credit card without your knowledge and make you fight to get your money back (I still have not been refunded for a massage I paid twice for over a month ago). I have had a membership for 4 years originally at better location but had to use the Needham studio after moving across the state. Unfortunately terrible customer service is what you should expect any time booking a massage here, not to mention the fact they keep you waiting in the waiting room until the exact time of your appointment, making your 60 min massage more like a 45 min massage after undressing and waiting. ***Each masseuse I have had has been lovely and I have no complaints against the employees of this buisness but unfortunately will a greedy man running the business I will no longer give my money to this location. read more

BUYERS BEWARE- I terminated my contract with elements needham last August and just learned that they continued to charge me over the last year. They are refusing to refund the charges after my termination. I told them in person I wanted to cancel and called a month later to see if they had canceled it and they haven't. They emailed me saying my last payment was on 9/1/18 and they charged me 10 times after my termination! DO NOT SIGN UP for their contract. You have been warned. If this happens to you I suggest you file with the BBB and call their corporate office to inform their business coach. I am sure I am not the only person. Unethical and unwilling to communicate with me. I was charged monthly all through the pandemic and told that the credits would still be valid. When I tried to use them, my credit card was charged instead. I have at least 15 unused credits that Elements refuses to recognize and now they will not return my calls in my effort to recoup any of the money. read more

After years of having awful knots in my back, I was so happy to see that this location recently hired a trigger point specialist, Mary Anne. My massage with Mary Anne was amazing- she not only got all of my stubborn knots out, but she also taught me about my muscles and about what was causing the knots. When I mentioned that I also suffer from migraines, she took the time to give me a self-massage regime for releaving the migraine pain. I left feeling relaxed, but also educated. Such a great experience! The customer service here is also wonderful. Matt is so friendly and genuinely wants a relaxing experience for his customers, which I really appreciate. After only 3 months of coming to this location for my massages, I can already say I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

100% terrible and creepy. I can barely talk about my experience there. My massage was the most unpleasant experience, including the guy saying "oh the things I'd like to do to you." While I am sure he meant in a professional sense, realize your audience is a naked young woman and figure out how to behave yourself. I left crying because of how he made me feel. Definitely highly recommend staying away from this place. ... PS I decided to call back the next day to report this man and the best the manager could do was give me a free massage. Very good massage, but hectic reception area kills the relaxing vibes.

Unfortunately what was supposed to be my relaxing Christmas present from my boyfriend turned into a far from relaxing experience. When my boyfriend purchased 2- 55 minute massages for me after informing the person at the desk that we live in NH, they proceeded to sell him the certificates, and then told him that we had to use them in Needham only as he walked out the door. This should have been presented before the transaction was made. When I made my appointment, I requested that the MT did not attempt to fix my shoulder as many MT in the past have tried, as I have issues with it. The representative of Elements said she had the "perfect" person for me, and did not ask if I preferred a male or female. As I have to drive 1.5hrs to get to Needham from my house in NH, I had limited options to get this massage and settled for the male MT which was booked without me asking. When I arrived for my session, I met my MT (who I will keep un-named). He was very friendly and escorted me to my room. When I walked into the room, the smell of body odor was outrageous and completely overpowering. This scent does not help the relaxation process. Trying to enjoy my present, I made every attempt to see past this. When the MT began the massage, I again mentioned to "not try to fix my shoulder", he then took it upon himself to try and fix it against my will, and told me that the pain I was feeling was only temporary. Being incredibly uncomfortable, in pain, and annoyed that the MT was not listening, he continued to do a deep massage which I specifically told the staff I DID NOT want. On top of the pain I was experiencing, the MT talked and asked questions for more than half the massage not allowing me to quite my mind, and continuously scratched my back up with a hang nail on his hand. Overall, this experience was terrible. From the uninformative staff selling a gift certificate without informing the buyer of the regulations, to horrible smell of the room, to doing the EXACT opposite type of massage I requested. This experience left me more stressed than when I got there. Not to mention, left me in pain for almost 5 days. That being said, my second gift certificate I received from them will not be used. I could not be more upset that what was to be a nice gift from my boyfriend, will not be used. As a courtesy I did leave the MT a tip, however, this was solely for his time, and not for enjoyment of the massage. I would like a full reimbursement of my second massage if possible, as will not be returning to Elements of Needham. read more

Steve is a very knowledgeable masseuse and does great work. He's not your average masseuse and knows more about the body, joints, and muscles than most, if not all, other masseuses I have been to. All the ladies at the front desk are super friendly, especially Jackie and Katie. I've also had great massages from Karl and Allan. The office is clean and convenient for me. I've been going here regularly for six months and have never had a bad experience. read more

As a regular client, I recommend Elements Massage highly. Their therapists have eliminated the pain in my shoulders, so instead of popping pills and facing joint replacement surgery, I am back to enjoying my grandchildren and embroidering for hours. The staff are extremely skilled and professional. I especially appreciate their convenient location and extended hours. The 1.5 and 2 hour massages have allowed faster progress, as they accomplish significantly more in the longer sessions. read more

While the massage therapists are great, the front office staff makes it a stressful experience, completely nullifying the relaxing massage. They try to get you to become a member, which is their thing. I get it, but I really hate the sales pitch. Worse than that, when I canceled my membership in person, they never processed it and kept billing me until I went in for another massage with a gift certificate a few months later. When I checked my credit card statement after canceling AGAIN, there were no credits, but more pending charges. I called the receptionist and she was extremely rude and laughed at me. She then hung up on me and wouldn't answer the phone when I tried to call back to rectify the situation. I feel badly for the massage therapists because it's not their fault that the front of the house is so unprofessional. The manager has since contacted me, asking to be of help to give me a better experience, but I haven't had the opportunity to give it another go. read more

Very poorly run business. I was a repeat customer and even included other members of the family, until the unpleasant waiting room played a large part in my decision to terminate my membership. On three occasions the receptionist was taking very loudly and critically about co-workers on the phone, totally eliminating any relaxation. The staff does not appear to know the "regulations" giving false information that contradicts the "contract". Overall, this is not the spot for stress relief. Customer satisfaction is not a priority here!. I can not recommend this sight to any friend, colleague, or relative. read more

I had a terrible experience last year going here for a massage. The message therapist seemed very unsure of what he was doing. For some reason I took my daughter here, because there were no openings at any other local massage places. HUGE REGRET. When we arrived they had her booked for the wrong day with a male therapist instead of a female which I specifically requested. When my daughter went back the next day the therapist was so aggressive with the message on her back that she could not move for two days. My daughter spoke up for herself during the message requesting a lighter touch but was ignored as a matter of fact the therapist climbed up on the table and straddled her and continued the message. please avoid at all costs. read more

I've had several great experiences here and wanted to make sure I left a review before I move out of the area. While on my first visit, I did wonder how the interior would be-- after all, it's between a deli and a 7-11-- but they have done AMAZING things and the interior is pretty, soothing and understated. I've had good experiences with every therapist I've seen there, but hands-down, the best massage I've had in the area was from Leslie at Elements. He is fantastic, and the two times I've been able to see him have been not only relaxing, but have been extremely beneficial afterward, eliminating pain and discomfort. Don't let the strange location fool you- it sits in between a gas station and a deli. But as you walk inside, the waiting room is inviting with comfy chairs and a fireplace. Reception was friendly and attentive. I was able to book a last minute massage on the same day. The rooms are clean and serene, Shannon was my therapist and she was amazing. Go to Massage Envy instead if you are looking for value - the therapists are more consistent, they are flexible in splitting your appts (use 1-1/2 session credits for a 90min appt without penalty or extra cost) and front desk staff are better informed. I believed what they told me here (that I had another 30+ days left to use my sessions , when apparently I only had a few days, after I cancelled my membership). So, I decided not to schedule them that day that I called only to learn a week later that "no you didn't have those extra days she told you and now you lost those you had remaining". So, I wasted about $130 based on ill-informed info they provided. The manager was supposed to call me back, but never did. The nail in the coffin for this place in my mind (or at least reaffirmation of my decision to leave). Another great option in Needham is "B In Touch Massage". More expensive, but overall higher consistency of therapists than any of the chains. Just avoid Elements. read more

Each therapist has a unique style and technique, so it is important to match your preferences and needs to the right therapist. My fiancé and I went to get massages at the Elements Massage in Needham and we had a great experience there. We also received 2 gift cards for individual 55 minute massages redeemable at the franchise's Needham location. We had been looking forward to our trip here the entire week, and it was well worth it. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was soothing, and the decor was excellent! You could tell this place was high class right when you walked in. We both asked for a female masseuse for our massages and they happily fullfiled our request. The masseuse who worked on me was very kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. She asked me what type of massage I wanted and what area I wanted her to focus on. I asked her to please do a deep tissue body massage and to focus on my problematic right leg hamstring as well as the ball of my left foot, which had been bothering me for 2 days before our visit. She did not disappoint. She went deep into my right hamstring, going up and down the back of my right leg, and rubbed and treated my left foot. Soft, soothing music played throughout the entire massage session and my masseuse let me relax the whole time. I got up feeling nice and relaxed and feeling like I was really worked on, which is what I wanted. My right hamstring felt a lot better and the pain in the ball of my left foot was completely gone. My fiancé loved her time here as well, so we're definitely coming back here again. I don't typically write online reviews, but when I read something that sounds like an isolated incident, and when the service we received here was so top notch, I feel it is my duty to give my 2 cents and share our experience.
