I had one of the most comforting Brazilian wax experience with Trina. Her energy was so vibrant and she really helped me to feel relax while waxing. I have done Brazilian wax numbers of times at different salons but this was the most painless waxing I have ever experienced. Facial was so relaxing I did indeed fall asleep, which was good and bad because that's how magical my aesthetician was but then I wasn't able to enjoy all the creams etc she applied. At first I thought the massage wasn't going to be effective bc it felt like she wasn't getting the knots out, but that's a testament to her skills because after I felt so loose and better than I had after my most recent massage at a different spa. read more

Not a very relaxing facial. - spend about 2 minutes total on extraction, when I got home my face had plenty of white heads I had yet to take care of myself - No guidance during the facial whatsoever - Was forgotten about twice. Once upon arrival I was left in the room for what seems like 10minutes for her to come back to after I got comfortable. Another was during my face mask, I was forgotten about on a hot bed I had no way turning off. The appointment was supposed to be an hour and lasted an hour and twenty minutes. - The salon is small and I kept hearing bursts of laughter, I'm all about fun at work, yet that wasn't very relaxing -To pay anywhere from $125-$250 for a facial under such circumstances is simply not worth it for me read more

Absolutely fantastic. I came here for the first time ever to get a facial and it was everything I didn't know I needed! From the moment I walked in, Stephanie, the receptionist was so friendly and kind. She made me feel so welcomed and excited for my facial! I booked the 'rejuvenate facial' with Brooke and she was amazing. Booking was super easy and I was able to do it online. First off, Brooke was incredibly nice and friendly to chat with. This is one of my favorites for waxing and massages. I recommend making an appointment in advance. The salon is well kept, clean, and gives off a relaxing atmosphere. There's street meter parking or a parking lot right next starbucks. You can pay by your ParkMobile App. Leslie is a great massage therapist. I received a facial here from Page who was soooooo nice! She did every step of the facial very carefully and was very understanding and accommodating of my medical condition ( I had a catheter in my chest area). When you check-in, they take you to the back to soak your feet in warm water. I found the pricing to be on the higher side, I would say it's ok to treat once in a while but I cannot see myself paying that much for regular facials which I like to do monthly. Ladies (and gents), I'm not going to tell you that its painless - no waxing is - but its about as painless as it could be. And Page's bubbly personality and deft hand helps make it go by as quickly as possible. Also, the new Bella location on Walnut Street is BEAUTIFUL. Serene, calming, extremely clean and close enough to the city that it's still easy to get to, this is the perfect location for the spa to be. I visited this place couple of weeks before. Two things i hate about salons the most and this salon has them both. 1. Servers not caring about client's skin while treating them : they did my waxing and do not know basic rule, hold the skin tight when you pull the strip. Resulting into rashes all over my body. We seek for relaxation and good service when we come to salon and if you don't know how to treat skin, please do learn and get your servers trained too, don't just open salon for cashing in. 2. Servers hopping on one client to other not giving proper attention to any single of them : Again, these kind of salons are always opened for cash in, looks like they just want big number end of the day, not treating client with proper attention. I took appointment for full hand an leg waxing at 1:30PM, i reached there 1:35PM sharp, directly headed to room for waxing and asked my server if she can squeeze in under arms, whuch doesnt not take more than 10 mins. In 35-40 mins of my service, my server told me 4-5 times that how she is doing me a favout squeezing in under arms, when i told her i forgot to add that when i took apppintment and it just takes 10 mins for underarms, but she didnt stop. Well, i am paying you money as much as next client, if you just want to hop on from one to other, I am sorry, you do not deserve to be paid so high. Again, we pay for services. Lower your price down please if you can not be kind towards your clients. I will never visit this place again and will not recommend to anybody. read more

I came to Bella about a year ago and I refuse to go anywhere else for all my waxing needs! Michelle is my go to gal and she is wonderful. She always makes sure I'm comfortable and is a wealth of knowledge about waxing & healthy skin in general. And it also helps that she's super friendly and talks to you the entire time so the time goes by quickly and you're not so painfully aware of the waxing. Prices are comparable to other salons but the service here really separates them apart. The new space is clean, inviting and warm. You're definitely in good hands at Bella. read more

I will not be going back. I was hoping to find a good wax place in Newton Centre since I changed jobs and the place I used to go to in Somerville is out of my way. However, after this experience, I think the 55-minute round-trip commute is going to be worth it. I ended up being at Bella for an hour. AN HOUR. For a FIFTEEN MINUTE appointment. I understand running behind, but the reason was because they took a walk-in. This is what appointments are for, right? So you don't end up waiting? This all would have been worth it if the wax had been good. Tanya did an okay job and I liked how she kept up a good conversation throughout. But compared to the salon I've been going to for the past few years, it took longer - 20 minutes compared to 10 - and she didn't even do my backside. She gave me 1/2 off because of the wait (which was nice) but what I had done costs $40, which I think is steep. I'll spend the extra money and time and stick with Priscilla at Skin and Body Works. read more

I had my first experience with Bella today and was not disappointed. I've been everywhere and could rarely give a 5-star review. I'm getting married in October and realized I'd been remiss in my skin-care regimen. I scoured reviews and asked all my girlfriends and this is where I ended up. I went for their Rejuvenate Facial and it was just amazing. Lindsay was so talented AND sweet and wonderful to talk to. We gabbed the whole time (though I sense she would have been fine had I not wanted to talk) and I had the best experience. My face has never felt or looked better. The difference is astounding, and I booked two more facials on the spot leading up to my wedding. Could I just pay her to live at my house and give me a facial daily?! The spa is clean and inviting. The treatment room was a comfortable temperature, smelled lovely, and felt wonderfully relaxing. I couldn't hear any noise from the lobby or other rooms, which has been an issue at some other spas. Lindsay went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable. She never once tried to sell me on anything, but I asked point-blank at the end of my appointment if she could recommend any products since I have been slacking majorly and been using drugstore products that were doing nothing for my skin. She had such a good understanding of my skin type and was able to recommend both a sunscreen and an exfoliant/moisturizer. They were a bit pricey, but as I'd budgeted for skincare in my wedding budget, I was fine with it. I'll report back about my future experiences and the products given. read more

This place is "as good as it gets". Formerly Bella Skin, this place is amazing. All of the staff is super sweet. They do a phenomenal job... (brows, brazilian, facials...) I've had it done at Bella and love it. I typically go to Trina (have been for 5 years +) but know I am in good hands with Michelle or any of the girls they have trained (all other staff). Go see Tanya! I recently started working in Newton and have no time to see my waxer in the city. I was really nervous to see someone in the burbs but Bella Boutique is a great find! It had a spa-like atmosphere and it was nice even though I'm just as happy with a no-frills kind of place. I should probably alter my standards bc I've been to a few gross salons. This was definitely not one of them. Tanya was thorough, professional and very sweet. She even gave me a sample of some solution to help stop irritation as your hair grows back in. I've been getting Brazilians for over a decade now and I know a good place/waxer when I see one. The only downside is that they are more expensive than other salons. I usually pay $55 in the city so $65 is pretty steep by comparison. That said, everything else was great! read more

I've worked with Erin, Michelle, and Tanya. All their services have been thorough, relatively painless, and efficient. They use hard wax for the Brazilian and strips for underarm and eyebrows. The rooms are clean and designed very well. The staff are even better! They are all so personable, kind, and very accomodating. They truly make you feel at home, as home as you can feel with strips of hair being pulled out of you, that is.
