Each and every location features plentiful parking, a social media worthy interior, comfortable elegant seating, and quality desserts that consistently delight everyone who has the opportunity to try them. On my visit here, I tried a different set of items from my Schaumburg visit to test the consistency of quality across different flavor profiles and dessert types, and it delivered perfectly. The mango gelato here is incredible -- with probably the strongest mango flavor I've ever had in a gelato. The Lotus was an elevated version of one of my favorite biscuits. The gelato is incredible, creamy and flavorful -- and something I'd happily serve with most any dessert. The waffle was flavorful as usual which paired perfectly with the chocolate mix. I also wanted to try My Passion to get a mix of different fruits -- as I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fruit was at the other location. This was equally as great, with fruit presented at the perfect ripeness. Extra kudos to the kiwi which wasn't sour at all, and in fact was one of the first items to be finished completely. The pineapple was also super juicy, sweet, and flavorful. I wish we'd gotten more eclairs, as the filling was super delicious. Maybe the weakest item in this dish was the brownie, which was only good -- while everything else we'd tried was great to amazing. Overall, worth a special trip for any dessert lover. This business consistently delivers top notch dishes at very reasonable prices.

Has okay prices even though it's premium and small batch. They also have a few sorbets but it's random. A bad thing is the ever changing hours. It's hard to know when they're open. They're open longer in summers. As expected. It's about $5 to get a scoop. Has an okay amount of flavors to choose. There's not a whole lot but it's still an okay amount for a smaller locally owned place. A few non dairy sorbets are among the rotating flavors. Last time they had the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet. Had the sourness and sweetness of the fruit prepared with sugar on it. There's also other flavors such as espresso and tangerine. For sure it's a great idea to call ahead before going. Price was surprisingly good for the amount we got. My DH loved the shake. I thought the sundae was good, but OMG that grape slushie was the best thing I've had in ages! I'm going back just for that! I don't even like slushies usually. Think the last time I had one was in Kmart when I was in high school. My only complaint was the stupid people who thought revving their suped up cars and motorcycles in front of the place was the height of entertainment. I know the store can't do anything about that but it was very annoying.

Leilani has a pretty good variety of Chinese and Japanese inspired appetizers and entrees. Has some good drinks that go well with it basically. The food is high quality at pretty good prices. A lot of things to get here. It's not a very big menu but that makes it easier to choose obviously. This is Asian fusion so it's not like it's authentic but this is good for what it is though. A few things can get pricy but prices aren't that bad. The service is also great which helps. It's about $12 for the cheapest cocktails. They often have some rotating seasonal specials. It's about $15 for an entree. There's only a few that are vegetarian so that made it easy to pick something. I got the Truffle Shuffle, which is a maki roll. This has avocado, caramelized shallots, pickled daikon, and roasted shiitake mushrooms, and is topped with a tempura crunch with kimchi and wasabi. Full of flavor. This is a good choice if wanting light meals. For sure it's not authentic but it's not trying to be. It's a good mixture for American palates. There's a few things okay for vegans and vegetarians.

I finally came back with a smaller group on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. Our server, Tariq, was the BEST! He did a great job introducing us to Leilani, offering menu suggestions, refilling drinks, etc. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I tried the chicken katsu sando. The Japanese milk bread was so fluffy and fresh, the chicken added a nice crunch, and the toppings were a nice punch of flavor. On the menu, it said it came with yam chips or edamame so I asked for edamame. I think there was some confusion though cause my sandwich came with chips and I was charged for a side of edamame. The edamame had a lot of flavor. I never thought I would write this in a review but I almost wish it was more bland. Edamame aside, this place is great! Service was some of the best experiences I've had, I loved the decor, and most importantly, the food was delicious!

I debated between Turtle and Twix after perusing the menu, but settled on Twix. It's a pretty simple dessert: Nilla wafer crust on the bottom, cup filled w/ caramel cheesecake, topped off w/ caramel drizzle and a few small Twix pieces. It was very tasty! It wasn't as dense as some cheesecakes I've had, but it certainly wasn't light and airy like whipped cream. The cheesecake flavor was definitely there. As far as pricing, at first I thought it was kind of expensive. It came to $9 w/ tax & tip for the smallest size. The small serving is about the size of a gourmet cupcake. However, once I began eating it I realized how rich it was and that even the small size is shareable. Service was friendly. Since I was taking it home, they were kind enough to put it in a larger cup with a lid. The interior of the shop is larger than it needs to be, but that does allow for some seating if you want to eat there. Looking forward to trying the Turtle some time.
