Omg!! If you have not visited this gem within the historic downtown Aurora area, get there quickly!! When you first approach the building, it seems as if you are walking up to a high rise apartment building with a restaurant below, it is!! The building aesthetics are attractive and appropriate for the area. Upon entering the building, the ambiance is a mixture of casual and classy. The decor selection is absolutely beautiful. The chairs are comfortable and well maintained. The tables are decorated and clean! Black tables collect dust quickly, but not in here! The tables were clean and well kept. The service matched the quality. The hostess stand is beautiful and flows well with the decor. It is not out of place at all. My husband and I were told that reservations are recommended on a Friday night, but they welcomed us to go downstairs to the second bar area. Its gorgeous. It's private and there is space for dancing. The bar manager, Mars was fantastic! He has studied his craft and made a brilliant French 75. The food was immaculate!! I have tasted authentic Philippine dishes before and Leilani nailed it!! The lumpia was fried to perfection and the Pancit had flavors that were mixed together perfectly!! I can't wait to come here again and bring my friends and family. Leilani Asian Fusion has found a regular customer in me!

$43 Skirt Steak Hibachi - No peanuts this time for some reason.

Love this place, but they kind of messed up my birthday lunch by running out of "steak" for hibachi even though they have 14 different steak options on the menu and not offering to improvise for their inventory error. & they just said "sorry, we had hibachi Monday and you came in on first Friday would you like to do chicken or tofu instead or order a different dish." Then I asked if I could add a different steak and of course there is an up charge of literally OVER double the original price. So my lunch portion hibachi ended up being $43... $29 for the skirt steak and $14 for the rice and vegetables.... I really enjoyed the Ube creme brulee. My server April was very kind though & the ambiance is obviously phenomenal.... The manager was not very kind and made me feel like I was the issue when I just wanted steak as my protein. The soap in the bathroom is filled with water and basically empty.

I went here for a team dinner to sort of just unwind and have a great time to mingle after work. Wow, the interior of this place is absolutely gorgeous! The ambiance is just perfect to go as a group or to take that special someone. There's plenty of seating to go around and they even have a room on the bottom floor you can reserve! The service was excellent, probably the best I've ever experienced! Our waitress was very accommodating and knew a lot about the menu when we had questions. She even threw in some suggestions that we thought we might like and we took them! And they did not disappoint one bit! To start, we had some lumpia, dumplings, edamame, and scallops and wow, they were all so delicious! I probably could've eaten some of the appetizers by myself they were so good! The lumpia was just cooked to perfection, the dumplings and scallops were nice and plump, and the edamame's flavor was enhanced with what tasted like chili crisp/oil and I just couldn't stop myself from grabbing more! For dinner, one of my bosses and I decided to split the sashimi and two sushi rolls and they literally melt in your mouth! They were so fresh and delicious! The sushi was on the smaller side but they packed a lot of flavor! To end the night we got the ube bread pudding, the BEST dessert I've ever had! Warm and soft bread pudding combined with the cold ube was just utter perfection. I don't normally get desserts from restaurants but I'm making it my mission to order this every time I go here!

I've visited Lelani on two occasions. We are always greeted at the door a d the service is good. The food is fantastic! An Asian flair to the steaks and salmon, great sides and the black tea creme brulee is yummy! I am not a sushi fan, but friends report it is very good. It is fairly dark in the restaurant. I would prefer a little more light. I can't wait to see what the downstairs will be used for!

Had another fantastic family date night at Leilani, and they absolutely delivered on this second visit. Well done! We started with the Lumpia--still a must-have and consistently amazing. The Korean fried wings were phenomenal, and the beef Korean dumplings were another winner. These starters are all absolute hitters--don't miss them. The Hamachi Kinilaw wasn't my personal favorite, but my wife and daughter loved it. The drunken Scottish was another standout--highly recommend this dish as well. Daniel, our server, truly elevated the experience. He's well worth the "beloved" title--good job, sir! I enjoyed a Sapporo to go with the meal, but Daniel also surprised us with a special lychee shot that perfectly complemented everything. We also tried the Godzilla roll; while it wasn't my thing (not a fan of eel), it's a solid choice for those who enjoy it. To end the night, the ube bread pudding was the perfect sweet finish. Leilani continues to shine, and with service like Daniel's, they've earned another round of applause!

Japanese sandwich. Definitely enough for two meals, but who could stop eating?

The food here is so good that I went twice in one week! For an appetizer, we had the Korean chicken. How something can be so crispy and also sticky (in a good way) is beyond me. The sushi roles were fresh and interesting. The decor and overall vibe of the place is so trendy but also casual. For lunch I had one of the Japanese sandwiches on milk bread with homemade chips. Wow!!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant is so spacious and modern. For appetizers, we split the lumpia and calamari which were crunchy and tasty. For entrees, we got the Adobe fried rice and chicken teriyaki bento box. We really liked the adobe fried rice because it is much lighter than we thought it would be - not as salty as other fried rice would be. My favorite thing is the Ube bread pudding which was enough for two people. It was soft and dense and not too sweet. Can't wait to come try the rest of the menu!

Met a friend here before we went to see a show at the Paramount theater. Our reservations were for six and I felt that offered ample time for us to enjoy a leisurely dinner and see the show. Since we chatted way too long before ordering, we relied on Angela, our server to offer recommendations she gave us amazing recommendations and made sure the food all came out very fast and we were on our way by 7:45. Everything was amazing. The crispy spicy tuna wasn't too spicy, but it was very delicious.. The salmon was done perfectly, and it was presented very beautifully.. my friend enjoyed the miso soup. Angela also suggested a mock tail and we added a spirit to that everything was perfect.

Food was AMAZING, service was a joke honestly. I had secondhand embarrassment for the staff, clearly they were not trained well. All started with the hostess. We came for lunch last Saturday 8/31 with a reservation. Took 15 minutes to get seated; the hostess was just bopping around the floor. When she was finally "ready" to seat us (the table was open the entire time), she stood there until I saw it click on her face that SHE had to lead the way to show us to our table. When we were finally sat... this is where everything else starts going downhill re: service. I understand it's a new menu and servers are still trying to learn, fine, it's not that. I ordered the Miso Cauliflower, the server asked me twice to clarify, and I repeated. Guess what came out? Miso soup. The server looked confused and said I ordered the soup. GIRL. I said cauliflower twice... it seemed like she didn't even know the item existed at all. The staff delivering our food was an insane & laughable experience -- we were annoyed at first, but it ended up becoming such a joke to us. Not once, not twice, but FIVE TIMES staff ran food to us that we didn't even order. We also noticed a few times that they were delivering OUR order to the table next to us. I'm sorry -- do they not have table numbers??? Or did the server just not ring it up correctly?? Another issue. My mom ordered a side of rice and the staff said he'd go check, came back 10 min later to drop off another order, my mom asked about the side she ordered again and he just looked at her and laughed??? We never got it. My favorite part was staff giving us to-go containers with lids that didn't match :) I didn't notice until after we left, but someone in my party said he caught our server giving us dirty looks. Not sure what that's all about, but it's not our fault you ran 5 items out that weren't even ours? It felt like they were just auctioning off food? Did I mention it took 40 minutes to get the orders out? I've been in the industry as a bartender and server, short staffed and opening a new restaurant. I know how staff should be trained. Honestly I felt bad for them, seems like they were just picked off the street and thrown into the job. They were so friendly and have so much potential. There's no way majority of the staff are this incompetent; it all begins with management. If the food wasn't amazing as it was -- not to be cliche -- but I would give -5 stars if I could.

Edit: I'm going to add another incident that we found out on the night of 8/10 after we came home. That night, for a 5:45 reservation we found out the ribs were out. My husband's work colleagues dined in later that same evening - tell me why they were able to order and eat the ribs?! Not sure if it was miscommunication between the front of house and the cooks but that needs to be worked on. I'm being honest and there are several other reviews on Google to read as well, although very few - there were some of us that did not have the best experience one could have for the amount we spent $140+ ---- Have been patiently waiting for their opening in downtown Aurora after discovering Leilani Asian Fusion at Pacifica Square when they first had 'Little Leilani'. Husband and I enjoyed their food at that time so we knew a full restaurant would do well. Made reservations for a Saturday dinner and luckily we did because it was packed! I should have known since they recently had their soft opening...and that the opening weekend would be hectic. We arrived 15 minutes early and had to wait for other parties/tables, so we spent some time at the bar. I had high hopes for an outstanding experience, but it did not turn out that way. They were not prepared at all for their grand opening. First, they ran out of drinks and some popular food items we were looking forward to - were not available. Secondly, multiple times, the servers brought over food to us that we did not order...gladly I would take them if they offered and put it down on our table! It was just very disappointing. The Passion drink was alright and the Mai Thai wasn't that strong. We really had to change our meal around what was still available for that night so we got the below and shared: *Adobo Fried Rice - Really good and thankful we got this for a side to eat with our meat. (Asian IYKYK) *Hamachi Kinilaw - I loved this! Would recommend if you like sushi and it had a Filipino take on it with the coconut flavor. *Calamari - Out of all the dishes we ordered, this was the least favorite. Wasn't what I was expecting - had more rings than tentacles, the batter more soft/chewy than crispy, and could not taste the calamansi marinade. *Dragon's Breath - Their rolls are good for not being an actual restaurant that only specializes in sushi. That being said, I didn't come to Leilani's for sushi. However, it had a very nice presentation and I could tell the quality of fish is fresh. If they had ran out of more of the hot foods, we would have ordered more rolls. *Skirt Steak - Not bad as our main entree and choice of protein. The steak was cooked perfectly, very juicy and easy to eat. The meat wasn't tough at all. We asked for more of the Chimichurri sauce on the side and that elevated the dish! *Thai Tea Creme Brulee - Interesting take and while the creme brulee was fine, probably would not order again. The tapioca balls on top were overly done - too chewy and sticking together...not made very well and did not help at all to the taste of the creme brulee other than being a decoration. We commented on how Leilani's should just focus on dinner and not open for lunch to be better stocked on their menu items..as least for the first couple of weeks. That was our main issue, we specifically made reservations for dinner to try out the Korean Fried Wings, Pancit, NY Truffle Steak, Pulutan Ribs and we couldn't. They didn't even have any of the Hibachi plates. We might as well have just came during lunch! I think we'll come back after a couple months when things improve.

Ambiance/Decor* Very welcoming and love the ambiance! Drinks* if I had to go back it would be the Temptation. Tried a sip of my brother's drink and it reminded me of an alcoholic version of the butter beer; cool refreshing but this one had a nice combo of butterscotch bourbon and chocolate. Appetizers* Chicken Wings, Lumpia Shanghai and Potstickers. They are all a must try however the Potstickers were the winner! Panfried and was informed the they ground their own beef filling. Get the Lumpia Shanghai and Korean style chicken wings as a compliment to the potstickers. Entree's* NY strip with Shitake Mash and Broccolini, Miso Seabass, Adobo Braised Pork Belly, Bulgogi Fried Rice. Well seasoned Ny Strip seared to a perfect medium with drizzle of truffle oil served with a Shitake purée and Broccolini. Simple yet excellent. The Abobo Braised Pork Belly was slow cooked to perfection resulting in the fat being rendered through the cooking process and the Miso SeaBass was melt in your mouth topped with the king oyster mushrooms. Dessert * Ube Bread Pudding. Crisp edges and soft warm marbled ube bread pudding with ube drizzle. Try the Matcha Topping Outstanding! Staff* All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The server Tariq and floor manager Aliya are the highlights of the restaurant with their attentiveness and customer service. The Chef's are top notch and gave excellent plating presentations! The restaurant owner checked in on us and was an absolute delight to talk to! All very positive in my book. I'll definitely go back to try other menu items! 5/5533

Today I took the initiative to actually give this place a try, instead of continuously passing it by. Moka is a cute and small coffee shop that has a pretty broad menu. I was actually surprised at all the menu options. My experience is strictly pertaining to the drive thru. Unlike a traditional drive thru an employee will come outside and take your order face to face. I always like when establishments do this because it makes the experience more personable- and I feel more comfortable asking about menu items. Today I got a medium iced caramel macchiato and the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both were really really good. The burrito comes with a side of hot sauce, and I feel the portion is super filling. My iced caramel macchiato was very tasty, not watered down, and I liked how I could actually taste the caramel. As far as prices go I paid $13.38, it's similar to what I would pay at Starbucks. It can get a bit pricey. Luckily for me- after doing a bit of research I found that Moka does have an app and a rewards program. I just think they should advertise it a little bit more. But other than that I truly enjoyed my first experience here. I'm glad I have another coffee shop to diversify where I get my coffee. Starbucks now officially has a little competition lol!

Oh I was so excited when I saw this place in North Aurora. Coffee trailers like these are littered…read moreall over the Pacific Northwest, but rarely (never?) have I seen one around here. They can be super convenient, in my case because I don't have to struggle with a toddler and hot beverage at the same time. If I was not risk averse I'd consider it a business opportunity! It seems popular, as there was a steady stream of cars in line, probably at least five when I arrived. One of the employees came out to take our order whilst we were waiting in line a la Portillo's. It did mean that the drink I ordered was ready more quickly, but I wasn't able to study the menu as long. They don't have their full menu on the board, which is annoying. All the drinks are listed (with the exception of any specials they may have, which they may or may not have) and the menu board says to ask about the food they carry but the food isn't listed. There's a digital sandwich board that cycles through some of their items and specials, but you can't always catch everything as the images cycle through. The hot chocolate I ordered was really good. I also ordered a couple of sausage muffins and they were delicious. I haven't tasted something quite like it and I wish I knew where to get them for my own kitchen! They have sausage, cheese, egg (I think) and a bit of maple flavor to them. They don't say this on the description but I think they may be baked in a little bit of pancake mix because there seemed to be a dough that encased all the ingredients. I'm going to have to look for a recipe because I've made egg muffins before too but this is a good way to make sure that they retain their shape well and probably also reheat better. If I'm in the area I'll definitely come back to Moka.
