I didn't know they had a bar and was a sit down- I always thought taco bamba was a fast food, grab & go. But they have a bar and plenty of tables and table service! We got the classic margarita, mango faux-garita, and Paloma. My classic margarita had a gnat in it but they remade it...I don't think it was the same drink, but good nonetheless. The flautas were a little dry but the nachos and the other fries were delicious. We wanted to get the chocolate chip churro cookie but they were all out. I responded "Dine in." She walked away. I arrived at the counter and proceeded to attempt to place my order. I picked up the menu and the African America young woman with glasses asked me if I wanted to read the menu or place an order. I responded that I had to read the menu in order to place my order. She the said "If you don't know what you want, you're allowed to take your time." I was unaware I needed her permission, but okay. Then, I turned to the Asian young woman who seemed ready to accept an order from me. She rang me up prior to being seated. I declined the tip (poor service so far, sadly) and paid for my meal. She pointed me to a seat. Asian young woman after a delay (restaurant was practically empty) brought my food to the table, along with an empty glass and pointed me to the cutlery. Most of this operation appears to be take-out. We placed a pickup order online and it was waiting for us by the time we showed up. We ordered two small chicken bowls and one "feast mode". The "feast mode" size was actually challenging for three people to finish! The "hive sauce" tastes like a honey mustard with maybe mayo? It's pretty good. I really wish Flavor Hive would have additional toppings - just cucumber tomato onion cilantro etc are quite minimal. Would be awesome if they could add something like beet salad or beans! The value at this place is excellent compared to the numerous other rice / slop bowl places in the area. It is a lot of food. This place went viral on social media for a reason, and it lives up to the hype.

Only one order (check #88) was provided at pickup. The second order (check #87) was never given to us, despite being paid for. When I called the phone number listed on both the paid receipt and from Google, I did not reach the restaurant. Instead, the call was answered by a male individual phone comes up from Vienna and did not appear to be affiliated with the restaurant staff on-site. This alone is unacceptable. The individual who answered was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Multiple witnesses overheard the conversation, which has been documented. We were not initially seeking a refund -- only verification of the missing order and whether it could still be picked up. There was zero effort to assist, no accountability, and no urgency to resolve the issue. This level of disorganization and lack of customer service is unacceptable for any restaurant. If Flavor Hive continues to operate this way -- including routing customer calls to unprofessional third parties -- it will absolutely damage the business and its reputation.
