Conveniently located within the shopping mall parking lot. Pretty casual dining on the inside. No wait time on a Wednesday evening for a party of 7. At this establishment you are seated with a chance to look through the menu and once you know what you want you head up to the cashier to place and pay for your order. We tried a few things that night and everyone enjoyed their dishes like the 1/2 chicken with fries and garlic bread, the PERi PERi Chicken Bowl which was very filling and the Peri Peri wings. There were many sauce options so be sure to try them all.

Ridiculously mid and overhyped. For a causal meal it is very expensive and if you go with a group it will add up. Food came out fast but it was just okay. The chicken doesn't have much flavor and I guess that's why they keep all of those extra sauces on the side. You take your own utensils, drinks and sauce. But food is brought out to your table. It should be all or nothing. Sides portions are so small, finished it in two bites. We each had our own quarter chicken meal and no one was filled up. Hard pass.

We decided to grab a bite to eat after hanging out at the mall. This is a fast casual restaurant with vibrant and colorful interior. You can either order from your phone via a QR code or place an order at the register. The food portions are on the smaller side and kinda pricey for what you get. Nandos is known for their chicken! I got a bowl with medium spice level. I enjoyed the flavor profile of the bowl but was really disappointed with the size of the chicken. As someone on a high protein/ low carb diet this was pretty disheartening. The Peri Mac and cheese had the perfect amount of creaminess with a splash of crunch! The Brussels were flavorful!

This place has become our go-to spot whenever we visit the LEGO Discovery Center next door. It's super convenient, and the kids absolutely love it. The menu is flavorful without being too overwhelming for little ones, and there are plenty of choices for adults too. One thing I really appreciate is how spacious and kid-friendly the dining area is. There is plenty of room for families, strollers, and all the chaos that comes with hungry kids after (or before) a fun activity. The food always comes out hot and tasty. The chicken is tender, the sides are great (love the corn), and the sauces keep things exciting.

While waiting for my car to be serviced, I took the opportunity to explore Nando's Peri-Peri menu. To my surprise, I discovered they now offer a vegetarian burger--a welcome addition, as Nando's previously had limited options for vegetarians. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the waiter, who took the time to walk me through the menu. I appreciated the fast-casual format, where ordering directly from the table was both efficient and convenient, with food delivered promptly. I ordered the veggie burger, fries, and Portuguese rice. The greens were impressively crisp, though the portion size felt rather small relative to the price point. While the food was enjoyable, it lacked the freshness one might expect, and it was evident that not everything was prepared fully from scratch. Overall, the experience was positive, and I will certainly return to try the veggie burger again, though I believe there is room to enhance both value and quality.

We ordered delivery from Nandos and it arrived in pretty good condition. We had the Mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole type dish, and half a chicken. It was enough for two. I used to eat Nandos a lot as once upon a time I lived across the street from one, and it continues to be a cheap fast food alternative. I'd order again from this location.

The place is really upbeat and gets into the mood of the food. Just relax place and not that pact when we visited. The service was upfront and smooth. The food was like a late thanksgiving meal and served fresh. We enjoyed dipping it to different sauces.

The chicken here is fuego! . If you're looking for some good chicken that's an alternative to Peruvian or fried chicken, then this is the place for you. Every bite of the chicken you can taste that fire grilled char in it. You can get anything from chicken to wings, to their version of a cava or chipotle bowl. We love them all, would recommend getting the peri chicken rainbow bowl a Mac n cheese mixed bowl with veggies and chicken. For the sides, the chips (fries) with perinaise sauce is the bomb, as is the coleslaw. The Mac n cheese is good, comes with some fired up bread comes on top, but the chips and slaw are the go to!

Excellent food. However, good food takes time to cook. This is a great option if you are in the Springfield Town Center area and want something to eat without having to spend more at a nearby restaurant or eat less healthy inside the mall. Inside here, the staff was helpful and they have plenty of seating. It did take about 20 minutes to get the food for 3 of us, but it was worth it. The chicken is very fresh and cooked correctly. The side items are also very tasty. The prices are decent given how inflation has made eating out a mini-vacation. Highly recommended!

1/2 chicken medium with spicy rice, fries. Wing appetizer (6 pieces ) with a side of Peri Peri Mac. Coke.

A great place for a quick lunch if you want something fast casual. It was a tad empty when I entered but I was seated promptly at a table and I went straight to ordering. You can order up front at the counter or you can order through the app. Personally I'm someone that finds it convenient to order through the phone but that could be because I'm introverted... Anyways, the food came out quick. I usually get the wing appetizer which consists of six wings with your choice of spice. I opt for medium since it's a good balance between tangy and spice. It's pretty good but don't expect the wings to be big. They are kinda small. On the other hand, the 1/2 chicken was a delight to see. You get a piece of white/dark meat and two sides of your choice. I got fries and rice, I guess I just like carbs or something. The chicken is really juicy and you can taste the char. The sauce was lightly brushed so I would recommend getting a sauce bottle from where you'd also get your utensils and napkins too. My only complaint was that the Coke Freestyle had limited options on my visit and I am wondering if they are phasing it out for a regular soda dispenser. Some Nandos have already made that change but I hope this location doesn't remove it. I love trying out the different flavors!

Nando's is a go to when I'm in Nova. Consistently good & filling. I always order 1/4 Chicken Breast with Portuguese Rice and Garlic Bread. The chicken is juicy, and you have to try the different sauces with your meal. You'll find one you love. That garlic bread. TO DIE FOR. THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF CRISPY & flavorful, I typically have to order extra just to have leftover. The sangria is always really good too!

    Jingle Bowl and Hibiscus Lemonade
    Susan J.

A semi fast food restaurant at Springfield Mall facing Frontier Drive. As you walk in you are instantly greeted, however, job duties were very stove piped. One server addresses those to dine in and one addresses those who order out. However, my server immediately knew about the Yelp Jingle Bowl promo when asked. I also did get a kid's meal and a side of fries. So, the Nando's chicken on the bone is always tasty and their fries, albeit salty, are tasty, but a but overly fried. Now, the Jingle Bowl. 2 small pieces of thighs (dark, white or pulled chicken options available), some stuffing, corn and mashed potato. The bowl was ok, nothing spectacular. Would I order this again? Most likely not. It's not the flavors I expect from Nando's and honestly, it did not impress me. The hibiscus lemonade tasted like an overly sweet yet tart lemonade. Also, the machine kept dripping the lemonade so they just put a cup underneath and as soon as it was full, capped it and placed it in the fridge (probably for pick up on future orders). So, my experience was mediocre since it wasn't a true Nando's experience.

The awning outside needs refurbishment and inside furniture is not updated. It's dark inside, almost like a night club. Perhaps it is sometimes. I did not like the decor, it was a little run down and honestly did not match up to the prices. The service was also disappointing. I felt that staff lacked a bit of professionalism and they rarely checked on us. The plates are huge. That is a plus. My partner ordered the goat and I tried the red snapper. I think one plate is big enough to share. I like the spinach, but everything needed a bit of salt. While the red snapper was coated in a lovely tomato and red pepper gravy, I felt it made the crispyness of the fried fish disappear and it was kind of soggy. Maybe you can ask for the gravy on the side. The food is not bad, but given the physical establishment and the service I wouldn't return.

Our waiter was so charismatic, helpful, and kind. He even turned up the music in our corner of the restaurant upon request! The food was generally good, just a bit on the drier end. Even the stew wasn't really soupy. So if you were trying to mix some rice with some stew, you basically got cake on your plate. Regardless, everything was seasoned to absolute perfection. Also, don't know if this matters but it may matter to some- though this is an East African Restaurant, the menu is slightly more Kenyan than Ugandan. Something to keep in your expectations when visiting!

This isn't a place you stumble onto; it's a place you have to know about, and once you do, you won't stop coming back. Chef Endalk came out to greet our table personally, walked us through the menu, and genuinely seemed invested in making sure we loved the meal. We ordered a generous portion of raw beef for kitfo, and after we sampled a piece, the kitchen happily cooked the rest to a beautiful medium rare -- no fuss, no attitude, just quiet hospitality. The vegetable platter held its own against the meats -- just as vibrant and flavorful, if not more so, with layers of spice in every lentil and green. The samosas were a fun twist too: a lighter, crispier shell closer to an Asian spring roll than the heavier Indian version, stuffed with well-seasoned lentils instead of the usual potato filling. And don't skip the housemade hot tea -- a strong bite of fresh ginger balanced with lemon and honey, the kind of thing you crave again the next cold day. Small room. Big heart. Bigger flavor. I'd heard great things about The Continent, so it felt like a must-try especially since Swahili Village is one of our go-to favorites for comparison. The space itself was great, nice interior, well-decorated, and service was solid throughout. They also had two distinct vibes going: one side had a bit of a DJ/lounge energy, while the other was more elegant and laid-back, better for actual dinner conversation. We sat on the calmer side. Drinks were good. We had a sangria and a tequila-based cocktail, both solid. For appetizers, we got the shrimp and the beef samosas. Unfortunately, the beef samosas just didn't hold up compared to Swahili Village's. I've had Swahili Village's beef samosas multiple times and they always come out hot, crispy, and consistent. These didn't quite match up, and that was strike one for me. The shrimp appetizer was nice, good sauce, though it could've used a bit more depth of flavor. I also ordered the pepper soup, which was excellent and genuinely spicy (more than I could really handle, but I still finished it). For entrées, my boyfriend got the Suya with jollof rice, and I got the red snapper with jollof rice as well. He really enjoyed his. The beef was cooked well and flavorful, and the jollof rice was good. My fish was also cooked nicely, though the sauce needed a bit more flavor. The bigger issue: they were out of plantains. That was strike two, and it stung more because it was my boyfriend's birthday dinner and plantains are his favorite. It's rare for an African or Caribbean restaurant to run out of them entirely. Overall, a decent experience, but with the high expectations going in, a couple of misses kept it from fully living up to the hype for us. I'd go back for the pepper soup and give it another shot, but I'm hoping for hotter, fresher samosas and actual plantains next time.
