Loved this place and it was a Flavor Bomb. The staff is extremely helpful and it's a chipotle with much better flavor. My son loved it and enjoyed the chicken and rice bowl. I had everything on my bowl which was delicious. Just know the spice is spicy. It's a simple quick place to order and keep it moving. If you want to eat, they do have cute tables and chairs outside.

Tried the quesadilla this time and the fries. Fantastic! Regular chicken, green peppers, onion, cheese, more cheese. The portion was generous and I could only finish a quarter of it. Flavor was excellent. I also loved the seasoning on the fries, and dipped them in the yogurt sauce! Sooo good! Food was fresh and ready very quickly. Staff taking orders and making the food was also friendly. Love Flavor Hive!

We heard about it and had to try it. Flavor Hive was all that we heard and more. My family brought our bags of chips and each was loaded with flavor. We liked it so much we sat outside in the cold and enjoyed our bags .

Fresh, delicious Halal Cart style bowls! Flavor Hive has been on my radar for ages and I finally had the chance to try it! The owners are Bangladeshi and Egyptian- I could definitely taste the amazing flavors from these cuisines influence the bowls! I got a mix of chicken and lamb gyro- I liked the gyro better, but the chicken was good too just less flavor than I anticipated. The salad fixings were tasty and fresh. The white sauce and spicy green sauce were delicious! The rice had a good South Asian tasting flavor as well. Very well done and it was quick to receive my food despite crowds. Ambiance is chill, it's near the McDonald's, but in an empty parking lot with ample spaces. I'd come again! I wanted their Date Chai, but they ran out! So I'll so come back for another bowl plus have their chai!! Perhaps I'll visit their Brick and Mortar shop in Annandale in the future!

Lives of to the hype on social media. Love this place for a solid quick easy dinner. I love to grab a bag of chips and get their walking taco with all 3 meats. They also offer a very generous military discount! The place is clean and has a very chill vibe. Workers continue to make me want to come back with their energy.

Easy to find. Well lit area. The staff was kind and the lines moved fast. Food was really good. I would suggest eating in your car or brining a chair and sit outside your car to enjoy your food. Bring your favorite beverage. Get extra sauce. The sauce on top is not enough to last throughout the entire bag of chips. Heck, next time I might bring an aluminum pan or bowl so the sauce is on every chip. Hands down for $14 (my total) this can easily feed a family of 4 or five. My husband and I didn't finish the entire bag. I'd definitely go back!

I heard about Flavor Hive and wanted to give them a shot. Not really my cup of tea but I decided to go anyway. Customer service is great. They do a wonderful job of limiting the lines. There are several stations where you can take your order as well as people walking around. They are good with suggestions and things run pretty smoothly. I personally ordered the chicken quesadilla while my kids both ordered Doritos Bags. I grabbed my wife the loaded fries. The bang for your buck is insane. They really pour on the food. I have no clue how people can eat a large bag in one sitting. They have to be taking half home. The food comes out piping hot. The chicken quesadilla was hot. You can taste the peppers and chicken. I'm not a peppers guy but wanted to give them a shot anyway. Without the peppers I probably would have LOVED it. Overall it was a cool experience. I wish there was someplace to sit down and eat beside my car or trunk but that's expected with a food truck. Some type of signage would be helpful as it is behind a big building and I wasn't sure if I was headed in the right direction. Cool spot. Everyone should try it at least once.

It's a pickup-only spot with just a couple of tables outside, so seating is limited. I ordered the regular chicken bowl -- since there weren't many people, service was quick and the place wasn't crowded. The food was fresh, delicious, and the service was great.

I have had Flavorhive on my must-try list since July 2024 before it went viral. However, every trip to the DMV area usually involved me popping in and out - so when I finally had a long weekend in the region - it was go time! Flavorhive offers rice bowls, quesadillas, pita pouches, loaded fries, and other items. I decided to grab the most popular option: a walking taco chip bag for $10. I stopped at the grocery store and purchased blue corn chips, which would make my nutritionist proud. At the Alexandria location, there were several trucks, and to better control the crowd flow - one truck was responsible for payments, and then you would go to the other trucks to fulfill your order. The walking taco offers various protein options: chicken, lamb gyro, ground beef, and falafel. I grabbed the lamb gyro with all the veggies - tomato, cucumber, cilantro - minus the onions. There are two sauce options - green (spicy) and white. Initially, I didn't want any sauce, but after sampling it - I had to pour the white sauce all over. Was the 6+ months wait worth the hype? Yes, of course--the creaminess of the tzatziki sauce paired so well with the tenderness of the lamb and veggies. It was so filling I could eat the leftovers two more times (reheat in the air fryer).

I tried the new Annandale location. I luckily joined the line before it wrapped around the building. I know what you're thinking, another chicken/gyro platter place. I had to see what the hype was about and I kind of GET IT. This is probably one of the best cheap eats in the DMV. It's a fresh plate of delicious chicken and rice. I'm big on quality food and this was as fresh as it gets. You might have to wait 30 mins but it's worth it. They also do a BYOC option, where you bring a bag of chips and they load it up with meat, veggies and sauce. Excited to try!

As much as I wanted to love this spot, it was just average. This spot has gone viral for their antics. The staff was very friendly, it's a food truck so you won't get a 5 star restaurant experience. The matcha soda was surprisingly good. A good combination of a sweet, earthy, carbonated drink. Sounds weird, but it works. A must try for all the matcha lovers out there. The quesadilla was cheesy, but the chicken seemed to lack flavor. Once the white and green sauces were added to it, it helped it out a lot. The rice bowl was a huge portion. You could feed two people off that bowl, the ingredients were fresh, but once again, the sauce carried the flavor. Go ahead and check it out for yourself.

An excellent food truck experience at this Flavor Hive on Duke Street. The food is delicious and the customer service is always good. Their ordering system is very well thought out and efficient. The rice bowl is one of the best I've ever had among all cuisines. The business recommends not modifying the ingredients and flavor combinations to experience maximum flavor to which I agree. The fresh ingredients and sauces are an excellent combination. The portions are also epic. I wish they would open locations in MD. An overall very good experience and one worth experiencing for yourself. I'll continue to travel to this one.

It's located in a strip shopping center, so parking is super easy and accessible, and the restaurant itself is very easy to find. Walking in, the space is extremely clean, well-lit, and nicely decorated. Now let's talk about the real highlight: the variety. They have dinner plates, bowl options, and à la carte items. I went with one of my favorites, the lechon. They were out of the roasted version, but the staff recommended the fried pork instead, and it did not disappoint. I came in around 7:30, and they close at 8, so I was trying to be mindful and not hold them up. But the woman at the counter was incredibly kind and told me not to rush at all--"you're already inside, take your time." That level of hospitality really stood out. She even took the time to walk me through the menu, which I appreciated, even though I'm already familiar with Filipino food. The food itself? Amazing. The lechon was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The portion size was generous, and it came with two Lumpia that were hot, fresh, and delicious. It also included a soda, which made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal. Overall, this place is a 10/10. Great food, great portions, and even better customer service. I'd highly recommend stopping by.

The women working here were kind and helpful. You order at the counter in the back, and they will bring your food to your table. Menu options abound, but the only menu was the display screen above and in back of the counter. Unfortunately, the display screen is hard to see and there are no descriptions with the pictures/items. Mang Eton really needs to provide some printed menus. While the online menu does contain descriptions, the online descriptions don't necessarily match what is available. Anyways.... For a starter, we ordered the siomai. These were plump and tasty. We wish they would give more of the excellent dipping sauce than the tiny thimble of sauce that they do give you. Note: the combo meals also include a couple pieces of siomai. I ordered the Combo #1, which came with a piece of fried chicken, 2 lumpia, shrimp chips, rice and pancit. The lumpia had an excellent flavor. The fried chicken and pancit were okay. JP ordered the Combo #3. The only difference between the Combo #1 and Combo #3 is that the Combo $3 comes with fish instead of chicken. It also comes with a skewer of meat (pork?), which was good. We were the only non-Filipino customers. I plan on coming back to try the halo-halo dessert and to order some more yummy siomai.

Let me start with the wonderful service of the workers. She was so kind and helpful. Now the food.. omg. I'm front North Carolina so I know southern food. The catfish was well seasoned and even though she didn't have tartar sauce, which is a staple for me with catfish, I didn't need it! I also got the green beans and Mac. Both were also amazing. I finished it off with her banana pudding cake which was a different take on banana pudding but still delicious. If you see this truck out don't hesitate to get it asap! Now, while the servers with Staceys Superior Soul Food were incredibly kind and accommodating, it doesn't change the fact that the food was a bit soulless on arrival. The ideal dish from a soul food menu is prepared with various spices. This not just goes well with the meat dishes but also adds on to the overall taste and aroma of the food. My expectations are always higher when I see restaurants with "Superior" Soul Food in their title because of the history of the term "soul food" refers to the traditional food prepared by black people living in the southern part of the U.S. By no means do I believe you have to be black or from the south to prepare excellent soul food, but I would not recommend ordering "fresh" crabs or seafood from a dry climate desert state such as New Mexico; order Mexican food! But that's beside the point. Pros: The food came out hot & fresh, and the baked macaroni & cheese was creamy. Cons: Everything lacked flavor (seasoning) fried chicken, green beans, and especially the baked macaroni & cheese. The chicken wings are just a bit tiny with little meat to the bone. Everything tasted quite bland, but I want to give this business another opportunity because the family was extremely nice and it could have just been a bad day due to someone accidentally leaving all of the seasoning(s) at home. I'm rooting for this business because I want the demand for soul food to grow in NOVA, and this business has an opportunity to capture the market share. At this point, I can not personally recommend this food truck to anyone that has truly experienced the taste of SOUL FOOD! Looking forward to updating my review upon next visit.
