Update: I was contacted by Sabrina, the office manager a full week after I needed my dental records transfered-over 2 weeks after the original request. She contacted me regarding my yelp review, told me that they do accept my insurance but it's more like a "coupon". Told me that of course I could get my dental records transferred. Then I tried again to schedule my dental maintenance and she ghosted my on the texts. I tried to follow up. No response. I waited over a week and let her know that i would be reaching out to the dental board and that's when Mia began taking over messaging. She was flat out rude and then said i needed to come into the office to get my dental records released. i was previously told that the file for the release could be sent via email. I feel as though i am being discriminated against for not having insurance with a high payout for them. read more

Believe the reviews this place is incredibly unprofessional. I don't understand why they bother making appointments I got there 15 minutes before my scheduled time and waited an hour. Usually I wouldn't mind I'm patient I had assumed there might have been an emergency or someone else that needed more urgent attention but that wasn't the case the dentist really seemed disinterested and I was there for a simple look at a filling that I had done with my previous dentist before I moved here already verified all my information and had all my details provided to them days before yet there was no explanation or reason that I could tell why there was such a long wait and no consideration given to my schedule. But things happen speaking of things happening my insurance contacted me seems that they submitted a claim for three fillings when in fact I only have one. A month and a half later I'm still trying to get it fixed the front office receptionist is incredibly rude nobody follows up with you when they say they will. As far as the location itself it's off San Juan not a terrible area but such a dirty office and it seems like everything is either broken or dirty for a dental office I can't believe they don't keep it cleaner. OMG-recently moved to the area and need a retreatment for root canal. They had an appointment immediately so I booked. Upon arrival I got really uncomfortable with the neighborhood (very run down and dirty. Bad enough that I was already questioning my decision to book with this DDS. Went into the office reception area and it didn't get any better. DISGUSTING OFFICE. Peeling paint, old carpet dings in the walls. Went up to window and receptionist was nasty and very busy looking at something on her computer. I was early so OK. Then without even asking who I was or allowing me to say my name and that I was here for my appointment said she would be with me in a minute. Asked for the restroom and she grunted and pointed. Lacking customer skills. Sent me off with an incorrect prescription. Pharmacy couldn't except it since they left off any dispensing information. Easy fix, just call or send correct prescription in. Waited over an hour and still nothing. They said they sent it over, but pharmacy received nothing.called back again asked them to just make a 2 minute phone call to fix THEIR mistake or 5 seconds to send it electronically Nope, I had to drive all the way back to the Dentist office to get a correct prescription. This is a horrible dentistry office. I've had only bad experiences with their clerical staff, and their dentists. I had increased my dental insurance specifically to cover their $500 charge for deep cleaning. I had confirmed that was covered by Delta Dental beforehand. Yet, I walked in the clinic and they demanded $500 right away. I explained how my current policy covered this expense and requested to talk to the dentist. They refused to talk to Delta to verify charges nor let me consult with dentist. They are an incompetent staff, not caring about your teeth in the last regard. This office did X-rays separate from dental cleaning. I requested time off work for X-rays and a doctor to say your teeth look great. Very disappointed in this dental office. Will not be back. My husband and I have been going to this office for maybe 3 years, but recently it's gone down hill. My husband and I both had appointments today at 3pm, he had to get off work early for it. Walk in and they had no record of our appointments! Mine was made over 6 months ago right after my last appointment. Same with my husband. I called the office Jan 20 to confirm it was correct we were both scheduled for the same date and time and Collette told me we were all set. Today Collette said I tried calling you and texting you and no response. My phone number they had on file was incorrect (last 4 digits were transposed) yet my husband's was correct. They never called him. She said they make calls like a week prior and if you don't confirm, your appointment is given away! Another thing is they only have a hygienist on Wednesday and Thursdays! I was surprised to learn that today. 6 mos ago when I had my teeth cleaned, the girl who did it seemed inexperienced like she just finished training. I'm new the the area and scheduled a cleaning with Dr. Morteza. When I arrived they checked me in for a cleaning and then informed me they may not clean my teeth today... the lady checking me in suggested we get regular X-rays first and that the X-rays would determine if I got a regular cleaning. While I was interested in the regular X-rays, which we all know are part of a persons yearly maintenance, nothing on an x-ray would prevent a cleaning. The desk lady wasn't able to explain what on an x-ray would prevent cleaning as well, however she said she wouldn't NOT guarantee I got my teeth cleaning at my cleaning appointment. I called back thinking it was an accident it was ok, a different lady picks up stated her name Loretta and I had asked the same question as earlier she told me as soon as today if I can make it at a specific time. My wife and I had a check up and cleaning this morning. After the cleaning was finished, the front desk manager told us that they did "deep cleanings" and that that wasn't covered by our insurance and that we need to pay out of pocket. So, they did the work without our authorization, and told us after the fact. TOTAL SCAM. And, to make things rose, the hygienist that worked on my wife, hurt my wife with the polishing drill and cut her lip in two places. My wife shouted in pain and the hygienist was rude, indignant and unapologetic toward my wife. I made an appointment, then came in that day. The dentist was not there. He was on vacation the entire week. They had no record of my appointment. I told them I only wanted a teeth cleaning. The receptionist told me that the dentist would need to x-ray my teeth before authorizing a teeth cleaning. I advised I did not want x-rays, to which she replied that I had to receive an x-ray otherwise how would the dentist know to give me a teeth cleaning!!! Really?!? 6/19/16 Well here I am still struggling with Aura Dental Cares mistake after 2 years!! As you can see in the picture I posted I only had one molar left in the back of my mouth after my bridge had failed. Since my gums were so damaged and the filling was so horribly done. I had to have my last molar / tooth on my lower right PULLED last week. If my bridge would have never failed and caused the gum damage it did. I wouldn't have had to loose another tooth. Have I tried to reach out? Yes. Sadly once you're on their "list" they ignore your calls. Do they not remember what they have done to me? They refunded my failed bridge but never once asked to help pay for the expenses I am now paying out of pocket because of them!!! I will have to struggle for the rest of my life because of this and they don't give a damn! Don't go to this dentist, don't trust them, run far far away from them. 4/15/14 It's unfortunate.. I loved this office, trusted the staff, loved this dentist.. Until... I had a permeant bridge placed. After about 2 weeks it was clicking (not normal) and it just didn't feel right... I called Loretta the Owner and told her what the problem was and she just told me it would "adjust"... After 3-4 months.. I started to see a difference in my gums and a horrible pain in my teeth.. I came in and I was in the chair for maybe 5 minutes for them to LOOK not test.. LOOK at the bridge... They told me I just needed a root canal on one of the teeth anchoring the bridge... Which ended up not being the case.. I went and got a second option and it turns out... Due to this lovely permeant bridge that Aura Dental Care Placed I now have receded gums from tooth number 31-27... I have had now 2 root canals... AND I know have TMJ disorder because this bridge was never fit OR placed right!!! When I tried to call Loretta about what has happened I only get ignored or her RDA's calling me back.. Really unprofessional because obviously they know they screwed up... The least they could have done was given me a refund for the bridge I had for 3 months... All I'm left with is permeant damage to my mouth and an extreme amount of money out of pocket from their mistake! read more

This place is a complete fraud. First I was given a wrong price, procedure was not explained to me, the prerequisite for the procedure was not explained to me until I showed up for my appointment. had to wait an extra week to get the procedure done. I paid $400 out of pocket to whiten my teeth. My teeth did not change not even 1 shade brighter. I called and let them know. They told me they were going to give me 2 extra sessions. I made an appointment and was told to come in at 1. I got there 10 minutes late and was told that I came late so they went on lunch. my fault for being late and I understand that but who makes an appointment in the space of their lunch time?? I was told they would call back when they are back in office to set another date. They didn't not call me back for 3 days and I kept calling with no answer. They didn't answer my number so I used my mom's phone to call and sure enough, they picked up. Went in again for the extra 2 sessions and I waited 44 mins before being attended to and then I was told they someone threw away the trays she had. It's a dentist's office, trays should be in storage. The 1 tray they had, someone threw it away???? Doesn't make any sense to me! Had to wait for 44 mins just to hear that and then she told me she was going to prefer the home kit for me on Amazon. I DID NOT PAY $400 TO GET THE HOME KIT! I COULD HAVE BOUGHT IT MYSELF AND DID IT MYSELF AT HOME IF THATS WHAT I WANTED!!!! I would never ever recommend this place to anyone, not even to a dog. Zero Stars - Yes, so lame. Where do I begin. Filling out three times on my 9 year old. She ate normal food. Dr. Beheshtian has poor communication skills and is not a good dentist for adults let alone kids. Last time we were there, I signed nothing and he said nothing to me. I LOVE Aura Dental!!! I had visited a few years ago when I was in pain and they were so patient and understanding - got me in and taken care of right away. The dentist was wonderful and made sure to keep me comfortable and let me know I could raise my hand at anytime if I was uncomfortable or in pain and he would stop. Recently I needed more work done but I had changed jobs and was afraid they wouldn't accept my new insurance. Just a quick call to the office and Loretta confirmed that they accepted my new plan, as well. She got me in right away and my experience was equally as awesome! I have been here before and didn't think much of it. I had a tooth break and they got me in pretty quick and i was greatfull. They did good work and i was happy, then they suggested a cleaning. I was in the chair okay. Then the upsell to the deep cleaning, periodontal. Okay just this once. I left kinda happy. Now its six months later i get a text saying i have an appointment, thats neat. I go in , lady at the windows eating at her desk. Ehh no big deal.. I check in, " ill be collecting $130 from you today". What? What? No explanation. I asked what for . your cleaning and florride. Am I glad I found Aura Dental Care! I recently had a root canal and crown prep (my crown isn't ready yet). I was nervous since I had never had a root canal. Everyone in the office is warm and caring and my fears subsided quickly. I can't give enough praise for Dr. Beheshtian, Loretta, the and the 3 RDAs in the office.
