I am very happy that I found this dental office .Dr.Kim is honest and professional doctor. Very friendly stuff,easy to make appointments and always on time,no long waiting to see a doctor. Few years ago I took my son to western dental office for check up,they found that he has 3 teeth with cavities,I decided to ask second opinion .Dr Kim check his teeth ,did X-rays and said that everything is fine . Truly appreciated the kind and caring staff, and Dr. Kim's 100% involvement in care for my brother. The office building is on the smaller side, and a bit older, but don't let that distract you. The front office was fast and courteous. They handled the post-lunch patient rush perfectly. My brother is a stroke survivor who now has special needs. Everybody treated him perfectly... from check-in to xrays, to diagnosis and treatment recommendations. It's hard to find care of this caliber, and I feel lucky to have found Cross Dental. read more

The doctors are very nice and so is the back staff, but the level of incompetence the front desk office has is unbelievable! Cross dental had decided not to accept my daughter's insurance anymore. No problem. But u think they would have notified me. Nope not their office. I had booked an appt for my daughter months in advance.... And her insurance was only good till the end of the month. Did they call to tell me? Nope. I got a lame excuse about how they have been trying to call.... Never received a call, email, or letter. I called them to confirm they will still see my daughter, because HER insurance company notified me that THEIR office is no longer accepting her insurance. They decided that their office will be closed the day of her appointment. I asked the receptionist how long ago they had decided to closed that day? She stated about a month.... I asked why they hadn't notified me... Same excuse.... If the doctors of this office could hire competent front office, or ATLEAST a front office who cares about the patients, this would be a nice little office. read more

As I've gotten to know the dentist had multiple visits with the person I take here, I've decided to update and change some of my review. The staff is now very friendly, the "doctor/dentist" is very good and very kind. I will say, he does take many different clients and it seems he takes the clients with all types of dental care. I say this because when I go to my dentist on the other part of town, the clientele is different. Most dentist build up their clients and then sell the whole practice at once at an great price. Waiting room and comfort level still need improvement but the "core" of what I see is excellent. read more

Five star service all the way!!! The staff are friendly and polite, but I was most impressed with Dr.Kim. I brought my 11 month old son to his first dentist visit and was a little hesitate because I had bad experiences with other dentist, but he surprised me! He was professional and thorough and gave me great tips on how to care for my sons emerging teeth and prevention tips against tooth decay. I also had my checkup and cleaning that day with Dr. Kim and he did a very thorough check up and told me certain area where I need to brush at because of build up. He did a great job for my son and I ! I highly recommend Dr.Kim because he is honest, professional, and kind! I am extremely happy with this place for my son to come to. We just had his first ever dentist visit and it went really well due to covid 19 they have a nice little bench they have you sit on and wait we weren't there for even a min before someone came to the door she took our temperature and let us in to sit in the waiting room. I believe it was only like 5 mins after when we were called back the assistant that took my son's x-rays and who was with us in the room was fabulous. She talked to my son and explained things to him. I really wish I could remember her name. The visit was fast and friendly. This dental office is the WORST! It took me leaving THREE messages to get an appointment for my daughter. She was seen, was told she had two cavities, and they didn't schedule an appointment to get it fixed! This is going on THREE weeks of me calling to try and schedule an appointment to get this fixed and NO ONE has called me back. I have left multiple messages and still no return. They NEVER answer the phone, they just let it go to voicemail first and screen the calls before answering. I do not understand how this Dental Office is still open! Every time I come to this office it is filthy. I wait over 45 minutes past my appointment time to get into the chair every single time. Highly unorganized, as they schedule 2 months ahead for an appointment, the dentist will look at your teeth and decide what you need, then schedule you their "soonest possible" appointment that's 5 months away. So in 7 months, if you schedule now, you can get your teeth fixed. I HATE coming here, but this is the only office that my insurance covers.. So disappointing. read more

I called in 30 minutes late to cancle an appoinment for my 15 year old sis. Due to having to take my mother to the ER I was unable to call or take my sister out of school at the time. The receptionists may not be 5 stars, but the dentist, Dr. Kim, is one of the best that you can find. He is kind and you can tell he is passionate about his work. More importantly, he knows what he is doing. This part was important for me because I get nervous around dentists but his demeanor calmed me down and I soon felt confident that I was in good hands. My family has been going to Cross Dental for years and I cannot say enough good things about it. Our last experience was Saturday. My husband had one of his common tooth/gum emergencies and needed some amoxicillin. But it was the weekend!!! I called and was referred to an emergency number. Dr. Kim responded, talked to my husband, called in a RX and by noon had RX in hand! His office staff are so helpful and always accomodating. Wish I could give less than one star. 6 months to get an appointment for fillings, they will only take one appointment at a time so if your child needs more than on appointment, it can take up to a year to get their cavities filled. I have never experienced such poor care. read more

I'm tired of their triple-booking. They have way too many patients scheduled at once. They have a ten-minute late policy, where if you're over ten minutes late your appt. is re-scheduled. Yet they have NEVER called my child less than ten minutes after the appointed time, no matter how early we get there. And I don't think it's reasonable to wait up to one and a half hours for a check-up when my child don't have cavities or complications. Also, why keep me on hold for more than ten minutes on the phone without checking in on me once? My child isn't receiving the 'great service' everyone else gets. read more

I'll start with saying Dr Kim is pretty good at what he does. The reception staff is HORRIBLE they don't answer the phones and when they eventually do your put on hold for 15 minutes it takes weeks to get thru to this dental office as it is. I took my 10yr old daughter here today for the first time, I admit after reading all of the reviews here on Yelp beforehand, I was a bit worried, but after all was said and done, we had a great experience! I called through the day to make an appt, and the voice mail says they will call you by the next business day, and they called me the same day & scheduled me. The front desk receptionist was very nice, and helpful as well! We did have to wait about 22 minutes past our appt time, but it was not a big deal, they were very busy. The dentist was great, gentle, and comforting to my daughter, I am sorry but I cannot remember her name, but she was the Asian female dentist :) The only bad thing I would say is that I have to wait until FEB 2015 to come back for my daughters fillings, that sucks for sure, but again, they are a very busy office, but they immediately put my name on the cancellation list when they seen I was not too happy with such a long wait. I would give zero stars if I could. To start off I was a new patient here and it took a few days to get a hold of a receptionist. I did leave a message and three days later received a call back. I couldn't get an appointment for three weeks. So I waited the three weeks (for myself and my two daughters, one which was only three yrs old). When I arrived the wait room is very small with not many chairs. I had to stand at the window for awhile just to check in or to get acknowledged. Receptionist was kinda rude but didn't think anything of it. So I sat and waited...and waited....and waited. Over an hour past my apt time and the room started to fill up. Realizing everyone around me was non English speaking, as the staff as well (seriously!!) noticing people that arrived after me was starting to be seen and out the door before me I was starting to get irritated, again I have a three yr old with me! I was finally called back an hour and forty -five mins later....just to get x-Rays then back out to the waiting room. Then finally called back to a very small dirty room, noticing not even one picture on any wall, not welcoming at all. To sit and wait in the chair, again with my three year old!! Going on over TWO hours past apt time I couldn't take it anymore. Watching people go in and out feeling out of place...I honestly had to leave to get my other daughter from school soon. But I had went up to the desk and let them know I couldn't wait any longer and that it's now over two hours past my apt. They all looked at Each other dumb-founded that I spoke up. And didn't even offer to re-schedule. It was the worst office Id seen. As my husband sat in the waiting room he had notice the receptionist was scheduling apts like crazy all at the same time! So what I got out of this office is a dentist that schedules as many people as they can to bill as many people they can in a day! The feeling I got was Theyre the type that will scam insurance for work that doesn't really need to be done. Needless to say I think the "good" reviews are from the staff to look good or family members. I'd stay clear away!! Wait time is ridiculous and its dirty and they are all non English speaking. When I brought my 7 year old daughter here for the first time they made her take like 60 xrays for a cavity, I made them stop they looked at me like I was crazy for not wanting my daughter poisoned by radiation!! I think they are the Dentists you see on a horror news show that does a bunch of stuff that is not needed just because we have medi-cal , they tried to make me wait in the waiting room because they said it was too small for me to go in with my daughter, I said No Fu&*% way I will stand by the OPEN door and watch, they all got super pissy because I wouldn't follow their suspicious rules, which made me even more concerned what are they trying to hide? Filthy dirty office, not sanitized, not even sure if tools were sanitized, very scary and unnerving , sorry I don't speak Russian could you speak English? This place should be shut down immediately as a matter of fact I might call a malpractice attorney just to get them to do a check on these people! read more
