1st order forgot our 2 orders of fries. Assured me I would not be charged. I was. Tried again 2 weeks later. Was given wrong ingredients on pizza even though the receipt had them listed correctly. Food poor. Service fair. My husband ordered pizza with a side of antipasto salad, I ordered the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The pizza was served and after about 5 minutes, the waitress said, "the kitchen just told me they are out of ravioli", can I offer you something else. I ordered the pasta with meat sauce which took about 10 minutes to prepare. The pasta was mushy and almost uneatable. Had this franchise pizza in other towns but this one isn't the same. Overpriced is expected w this chain, but the quality was poor. Ordered 3 large delivered all all were stuck to the top of the box. Once peeled off the top, was very avg flavor and crust was so-so. Threw out the large amount of leftover. With 6 people eating we all agreed. Never order again and would recommend a place just up the street that also serves gas. And at 1/3 the cost. read more

How do I say this....it's an Aurilios, but not as good as the one in Homewood? I've eaten at both now. The big difference to me (and what would bring me back) is the sauce. The sauce is just so darn plain on the pizza. I couldn't find any hint of oregano or spice - it was like it was made with sweet tomatos - no pop. The service was good, our waitress was polite and attentive. The bar scene is weak - a limited line of house wines, and a small assortment of American beers, from the bottle only - none are on tap. Budweiser, but no Sam Adams? Wha? The pizza crust was a little on the soft side - we ordered the thin crust, but it was more like a regular crust (not thick, but definiately NOT thin). The place is under new management, so no more pizza buffet except at weekday lunch from 11 to 1 pm, and not on the weekend. Not that this is a fatal flaw, but some older reviews commented how bad the buffet was and for now, it's just not there except for weekday lunches. read more

One of the few places where you can get a great tasting very small individual pizza with alfredo sauce at a reasonable price. Plenty of vegetarian options. Really respect this veteran-owned restaurant and his discount to veterans on Wednesdays. Counter staff were prompt and helpful. Plenty of parking and seating space with a few tvs. Dine-in, pick-up, or drive-thru all available. Comfortable booth seating. Used to enjoy the buffet's wide selection pre-Covid, and hope it eventually returns. Ala-carte service from a buffet menu served out of the kitchen might be a viable alternative to help customers sample a wide variety of good food, but would keep scarce wait staff busy, unless customers had to return to counter to order each new plate from many good options. Simply just too expensive for something that is barely better than any chain pizza you can get for a fraction of the cost. The pizza is not terrible, I'll give them that, it's a pretty decent pizza. I just can't stand though to pay $30-35 dollars for a large pizza with a couple toppings that is only marginally better than competition in the area. I was shocked when I placed an order here for two large pizzas for a get together and was told the bill after delivery was $70!!! That didn't even count a tip! I could see maybe charging a bit more than chain pizzerias in the area, but double or triple the price? Ridiculous! If you're any bit financially savvy, you'll just head to the chain pizzerias in town and pick up a large pie for like $12 with toppings that is pretty much just as good. Aurelio's of Morris is A-OK. I remember having Aurelio's pizza when I was younger in a couple of larger towns/cities and the one in Morris. The bottom line, Morris Aurelio's is good- just not AS good as the other establishments. The thin crust is pretty good, and you can get some interesting and unique toppings. (I once had broccoli, and it was fantastic). The sauce is a bit sweet, and the cheese is not always out to the edges. Instead, it goes (from the outer edge) crust, sauce, cheese. The price is about average for this type of pizza place. The location in Morris is in a strip mall, is in a fairly small space, and has a drive through. The menu has lots of options: pasta, a large selection of salads, a few sandwiches, and of course over twenty pizza toppings. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for a late afternoon lunch on our way to Springfield. To avoid the construction on 55, we detoured through Morris. I am so glad we did! We kept it simple, ordering a sausage pizza and a couple of drinks. The pizza was outstanding! The crust is delicious, and the sausage was tasty. The pizza will bring us back again and again! The new owner was very friendly and helpful. It was clear to see how much hard work he has put into the place- there were so many nice touches inside that you won't always find at a pizza restaurant. The staff was great, providing great service with a smile! We grabbed a to-go menu in the way out, add my boyfriend spent an hour reading it and thinking about what he will order on return visits! Slowly this place has been going down hill , after the last 2 times I have ordered , I decided to give them another chance because I know being in the restaurant business that you have bad nights. Well I ordered and they said 30-35 minutes wait . I arrived at 40 minutes from the time I ordered . Upon arrival the gentleman at the counter told me "ya you can take a seat it's gonna be a bit " . I sat down , and waited . About 20 minutes go by and there was a few of us waiting the guy asks everyone there names again. A few people get there pies and he handed them these coupons could not see and apologizes to them. Another 20 minutes goes by and now I'm furious because it's been long enough. I go up and ask how long and the guy checks the warmer and long and behold my pizza has just been sitting there the entire time . He hands me my pie and goes 29.84 . I just looked at him and said your joking right. I been sitting here for 40 minutes and this entire time my pizza has been in the warmer . His response was my bad were busy . I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager . I walked out with out my pizza and me and the family grabbed pizza from some were else . Very upset , not only did they not try to correct the problem , apologize or make the customer happy . I hope the owner sees this and re adjusts how he is running this place . We were very loyal customers but now after the problems we had and then giving them another chance , I don't think we will be returning again . It's a shame because it's good pizza . I've only been here for the lunch buffet. It is usually very good. They have these awesome garlic cheesy breadsticks and fresh baked warm brownies. The pizza is always really tasty too. The last time I went there though my husband and I got there right around when the buffet opened for lunch, I think 11:30. There was NOTHING ready. We had to wait 20 minutes or so for anything to be put out. They also were servicing the pop machine so while we paid for pop we couldn't get any. We went and asked the owner if we could have a can of pop from the fridge in the front and he reluctantly agreed. Overall the buffet is usally really good, but that last time I was disappointed. I think if you advertise that the buffet opens at 11:30 you should have food ready at 11:30. read more

Being from the Northwest suburbs I have not had an opportunity to eat at an Aurelio's as there aren't any in my area. I went gluten free almost eight years ago and struggled to find restaurants that served gluten free food especially pizza. I heard years ago that Aurelio's was one of the first restaurants to offer gluten free pizza. So a couple weeks ago I was heading out of town with my sister and we saw the Aurelio's in Morris. We decided to stop and I am so glad that we did. The gluten free pizza was delicious! I had a 10 inch sausage (so I would have leftovers). As we were dining in the new owner came over to our table to explain how they maintain safe kitchen practices to keep the gluten free pizza from becoming cross contaminated with any wheat products. Wow...great pizza and someone that really understands the needs of gluten free customers. I was impressed. The restaurant itself was very cute, clean and comfortable with a helpful waitress. If I am ever back in Morris or by another Aurelio's I will definitely stop again. Wish there was one closer to Arlington Heights. read more

Having Aurelios pizza in Morris is convenient for us. We have been enjoying their pizza for over 30 years and were happy when they added a Morris location. They offer a lunch buffet along with their traditional pizza and carry out available. We did have our order misplaced one time and the staff was courteous and offered our next pizza free. Very attentive and friendly staff. Host was friendly and the server was a younger girl but very attentive and polite. Manager checked on our table and we saw him checking on others. Food was served fast and pizza was great! We are spoiled with good Chicago pizza near us but this was a nice place to stop while we were on our way back from Buffalo State Park.
