The staff is terrible!! Inattentive... I had to hunt the server down and interrupt her conversation with another server. Weird. Second beer... same story. Hardly anyone here and still needed to go to bar to ask for a beer. Still weird. Beer selection is poor! read more

They bought out the Chicago Pizza Dept. I definitely miss CPD. They had amazing BBQ Chicken pizza. County Seat maintains some of CPD's formula with their own twist. The BBQ Chicken was still delicious but I miss the CPD's onions and the sauce was different too. The sausage, bacon, and hot gardeneria was amazing. I think their version of the BBQ Chicken is better than CPD's. The service is good. The servers have been attentive and helpful. They also tore some of the wall down that seperated the dining area and bar. Great move. I was a little worried that I forever lost a pizza gem in Morris but The County Seat are the current champs! read more

Great 5 star pizza with tasty cornmeal on bottom of crust. Only available by the slice outside at Corn Fest and monthly Cruise Nites, but well worth it when you don't want an entire pizza. Atmosphere inside is busy young sports bar with noisy tvs, intoxicated language, and limited space/seating, so pickup to go is best for family. Great staff and service at outdoor festivals, but staff and food service inside are variable, probably because bar and regulars are key to profit and get priority. No soft seating. read more

Fun place to go while pub-crawling through Morris, however don't order a dirty martini....it tastes like they poor pickle juice in it. Ha. Good for beer and snack food. Pizza is good, buffalo chicken sandwich is good, fried cauliflower, Italian beef. All tasty. Bands about every weekend. read more

The pizza here is fantastic, best thin crust I have found in Grundy County. Beer selection is also good with 12 beers on tap, mostly craft beers. Prices are reasonable and the service is polite and efficient. Recommended. read more

Went over today to try it out. We walk up to the doors and see a large party of people standing inside. I noticed a sign on the door that said "reserved for a party" something along those lines but the date was for Saturday the 14th... today is Friday the 13th (the doors were wide open too and the sign was on the back of the door.) So I attempted to walk in when a man that was on the microphone, probably saying a speech or whatever, looks at me and said very rudely "it's reserved. Close the fucking door kid." First of all if it was reserved for tonight then why did the sign have the wrong date. Second, why would the door be wide open ? Anybody could walk in. Thirdly, why be so rude about it? Let me start by saying great pizza!!!! But food is only 1/2 the experience. The bartender working made the dining expierence miserable. We walked in at 8:39. Hurry. Kitchen closes at 9. No problem. We looked at website prior to coming. So we ordered fast. Then the pizza came out and they sat it at the end of the bar. We watched the bartender at the register looking at receipts for 5 min. So on the 6th minute of watching our first pizza get cold we asked the bartender (only waitress working) if that was our pizza (only people in the place). She got shi^^ty. We got our pizza. Then she went behind the bar and talked to staff bitchn about us and said she would bring us boxes and tell us to leave!!! That our other pizza wasnt done!! WHO IS THE CUSTOMER??? Fairly decent pizza. Definitely not a family friendly restaurant. This would have been a higher rating if the manager wasn't screaming the c-word, f-word, and other sexually explicit language. Took a ride and wound up looking for a good spot in Morris. Took a shot based on the reviews and walked into a dark, quiet, empty, bar. Well almost. Couple folks in the shadows, one tatted up like a russian convict, smiling barkeep comes out to let us know that the kitchen's closed....Now we're at the first place we noticed on the way in. Being from Chicago for 60 years I can assure you I know a good pizza from bad.I moved south of Chicago 12. This establishment doesn't even rate with 1 star. I was a first time customer who will not be returning. I was insulted by not one but two employees here. Played some music on their machine and was told my music was not acceptable for dinner. Why have a juke box if you won't allow your paying customers to enjoy it. They skipped most of the songs my husband and I chose. Definitely they will not be returning to this location and I will let all my friends know of my experience as well. read more
