    Fresh pizza

First time here . Very good pizza ! Both the Super and the Chicago steak were different and very tasty. The Chicago steak used garlic butter instead of a red sauce and it worked very well for a change! I will have to try the grinders next time ! They looked awesome.

Not bad for a chain restaurant. We were heading West on I-80 and needed to take a lunch break and this spot popped up as OK, close to the highway, and had what we wanted. The interior is utilitarian but nice. It is pretty much standard set-up with high and low tables with metal/plastic chairs and decorative elements. The service is order at the counter and they bring it to you - much like most semi-fast food places. The staff were very friendly and it is the personable service and conversation with the lady who waited on us (owner?) that really helped bump this up to four stars. Yep - what I love about small town eateries. We decided on salads as we wanted something "light". My husband had the seafood salad, I had the Chicken. Both were huge and had generous portions of the protein. The lettuce and vegetables were all fresh and the dressing was packaged, but good quality. Their specialties are pizza and sandwiches, but we would come again for the salad. Really good option when traveling through the area.

Went here on a whim before I hit the Grundy County Speedway. This place has one of the best sandwhiches I have EVER eaten, and I love sandwiches. The thing was huge, hot, and with fresh veggies. I was able to make 2 meals of it also! It's a little far from my house, but I will def be going back to try their seafood grinder. On this visit I got the veggie, but had no mayo, and added their homemade garlic spread. It. Was. DELICIOUS.

I must echo Tim's review - the grinders here are hearty and tasty. The service is excellent and the restaurant is very clean. The prices are up there though. I paid $2.45 for about 8 baked fries :/ However, they were tasty.

Over 6min never answered the phone.

Great sandwiches. Although there 18" grinder is actually 16". They seem to use above average ingredients, meats, etc.

Fresh ingredients, fresh bread and plenty of meat. The Italian grinder was made just right and delicious.

Two words. Yum. I guess that's one word. That one does it though. Their pizza is always great. Their grinders are always great.

"Where do the locals eat?" is something I typically ask when I'm in uncharted waters. "The…read moreHideout" is aptly named because it's hidden behind the façade of an American Legion Post and flies beneath the radar of folks from out-of-town. But the public is welcome, and it's high time to share this local treasure on Yelp! Oh, this joint is nuttin' fancy. The Post decided to increase its visibility by putting a small sign on the outside of the building. Period. There is a large front room with a bar, and a few steps up is a spacious meeting hall suitable for groups and private parties. Gaming is between the two rooms. The décor (what décor?) is plain-plain but the vibe is friendly and festive. The recently-expanded menu features diner fare and pub grub with a smattering of Mexican and Cajun items. We dined with a group of friends and passed around a few apps. The crawfish soup earned thumbs-up, ditto the colossal batter-dipped onion rings and piquant fried pickles. I had a BBQ brisket wrap; it was bursting with possibly more than 8 oz. of tender and juicy smoked brisket. A red smoke ring was visible and the sauce was just right. My Missus said her burger, served on a rich brioche bun, was exceptional. Portions are huge and the down-to-earth prices include one side. There are several sides to pick from. I had the tangy but overdressed coleslaw. There are two pasta entrées on the menu - "Cajun" and "Alfredo." The "Cajun" turned out to be Alfredo pasta topped with diced tomatoes. Apart from that one dud, which was sent back to the kitchen, the food, service and value exceeded our expectations. Of note, dessert and coffee are not served here (but there's a Dunkin nearby). We gotta return for a Friday fish fry.
