However, I have been to other hospitals and to be quite honest I was not expecting this place to be very good. My providers have been great at active listening and then ensuring all my concerns are heard. There is also a resident there that saw me the other day after I had emergency dental surgery elsewhere and she was amazing. She even let me know that she did not like some of the symptoms I had been having but wanted to keep an eye on them. Told me to call back if they keep persisting. Ran a blood test to see if I had an active infection and that I should have the results the next day. I kid you not, I got in the car and about 15 minutes later my Dr. called and let me know that my labs were fine. That's impressive! They also have valet parking which is very helpful since it can be a bit of a nightmare trying to find parking there. But everyone I talked to or interacted with there was nothing short of kind and helpful so far.

The…read morespecialists primarily come over from Froedtert Medical to treat Vets, and they're some of the best anywhere. The building is showing its years, but the equipment is all current, and the staff are up to date on all current medical technology and procedures. I know, I do my own research and ask questions, which I think prudent when trusting to any medical system anywhere, anytime your health is at stake They've saved my life at least once already!

All I was trying to do was explain my granddaughter NEW blood clot condition and what exacerbated it because my granddaughter was in too much pain to speak at the time. She rudely said, "Look, she is old enough to speak for herself..." My granddaughter was actually crying in pain (10/10) . I'm complaining about her because she is a bad apple in a barrel!!! Check out your ED ---- it could use improvement by getting rid of some of the rude nurses at the entrance area also...like I said she's ONE of the rotten apple in the stinking basket!

I love the hospital as an example of the neighborhood community hospital of the 20th century. It is so much nicer than the obviously costly hospital corporation megahospitals that have taken over the industry. But it is owned by Ascension so expect an aggressive prioritization of your ability as a patient to pay their highly inflated prices. They demonize insurance, but it is the large hospital corporations responsible for the high cost of healthcare and they make no secret about how important it is to them to get paid. When you pass the wallet biopsy, the workers here are very pleasant and competent. I of course never saw an actual physician, but the receptionist at radiology, as well as the radiology tech were respectful and knew what they were doing. The cafeteria isn't what it used to be, but there's a nice bakery across the street.

A visit to the Urgency department turned into a big Emergency dept. bill because multiple employees directed me there instead of to the Urgency desk. The gal at the desk even told me it was the Urgency care department also.The last straw was a free medicare wellness exam they hounded me to get. I got a $160 statement for that because they double dipped me on the bill. I got the free wellness check up, but they also coded for and charged for an office visit, physical exam and blood work. Even though the visit notes and summary clearly state patient presented himself for a Medicare Wellness check up. They offered to settle for $80 for something that they screwed up. They made hundreds of thousands of dollars on me, then lost me over their employees lying and cheating. Imagine how many people simply pay medical bills without actually looking at them. Think of all the extra money these companies are collecting from patients and insurance.

Rather than get up and go find the doctor, they do everything through IM or computer. No one has time to stare at the computer all day for messages but important is important, meaning get to it now, not whenever you feel like it. I have a back injury and need documentation for the insurance company but can't get a response. I have anomalies in my blood work that concern me, can't get any answers for that either. I'm also concerned that one of my meds may be causing organ damage, can't get any answers answer on that either. Very frustrating . Seems I will have to make an appointment in order to drill down on the doctor and get the info I desperately need. Medical care is a sad state of affairs no matter where you go. I've been using these facilities for years and it seems like it's all going downhill
