Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this school!! The first day that my 4 year-old son attended the school, he came home happy, cheerful, and proud to be a student of "Montessori school." He felt safe, included, and confident as a new little learner in his classroom. His enthusiasm and interest to learn and explore new things grows everyday. I cannot thank enough his teachers for guiding and encouraging him to learn and explore new things in school. I found everyone working in this school, right from the administrators to the teachers, to be caring, dedicated and compassionate individuals who love working with children. They work tirelessly to support and guide them in order to help them gain meaningful knowledge at their own pace. In short, this school is a hidden gem tucked away in North Aurora road and all parents who want their children to experience authentic Montessori method of learning in a school, should definitely visit and explore this school. I only wish their organization had a prominent website that was solely dedicated to the school and shared their curriculum, vision and mission. Had there been a proper website of this school instead of the "montessori unlimited", we would have enrolled our son long ago when he was 3; we learned about this school from a friend and I'm so glad we visited them soon after. Thus, a prominent website and/or a strong presence in social media will, I strongly believe, help many more families to be aware of this wonderful school that provides authentic Montessori learning experience to children. read more

My soon was here for 1 year. All I can say is that they have poor communication with us regarding my sons behavior. We need to constantly ask for updates regarding meals , nap time , etc. One occasion a pick up my soon earlier than usual and one of the assistants was correcting inappropriately around other kids (after talking to him and a different teacher we find out that what he was getting scream at was nothing wrong), the director address the issue immediately but regardless the bad experience can't go away. I don't fee they understand kids sometimes need to be kids. Our previous school was a Montessori as well but was Amazing. As a parent I believe we pay enough for situations like this not to happen. read more

Wonderful teachers and the children learn so much. My daughter could read the Bob Books by 4 1/2 years old, could tell you where the Himalayas were, etc. Good administrator too. The only thing that makes it less than perfect is the communication is not as tight as it could be. We often didn't receive notices because they stayed in my daughter's bin (other schools use more email which is better). Since we attended between Fall 2002 and Summer 2004, who knows...the communication might have tightened up. I'd recommend Montessori to anyone because they allow the child to learn/work at their indivudal pace, i.e., they take on more advanced work than they would in public schools or regular daycare centers. The kids all wear a uniform, which I first thought seemed a bit stuffy, but I quickly grew to love the lack of bickering in the mornings about what to wear. The children don't have the competitiveness going on who wears the nicest clothes either. Five star overall rating for providing possibly the best preschool education in the area. read more

This is an amazing school. Everyone from front desk, directress and teachers are amazing. Our son attended this school for 3 months and then we had to relocate out of state. He still talks all the time about the school and that he want to go back to school. Miss Savita and Miss Sarita were his teachers there and they did a really good job. They were very patient and caring and i used to see the same thing in all other teachers too. We would really recommend this school to anyone looking out for one. read more

Our family walked into Aurora Montessori in 2016 and immediately found the home away from home for our children. We did not expect the incredible amount of support that we have received from the teachers and staff over the years. I had 4 kids go through Aurora Montessori. Now my kids are between Kindergarten through 7th grade. We visited back today to say hello to some of the teachers that helped shape my children's early years... I was flooded with so many great memories from daily drop off lines, to classroom activities, donuts with dads, science fair and many more... One particular memory I have is a clear visions of my 1st child sitting happily in Ms Lisa's lap when I went back to check on him after a not so great drop off... I peeked through the door to see if he had stopped crying, and found him happily flipping pages of a book while sitting in her lap. Overall, majority of the teachers we had were very caring and gentle with all my kids. All 4 of my kids are now doing well in school, and enjoy learning, thanks in part to Aurora Montessori. Following extensive research/parent referrals on preschools in the area, our family's journey with Aurora Montessori started in Jan 2011 when our first born was 3.5 years old. As with lot of first time parents I was following timelines and was concerned when she did not start reading by 3.5. In the first parent teacher conference, Ms.Margo gently comforted my anxiety (basically said calm down!!), she said that my daughter was on right track and predicted that she would explode into reading. My daughter started to read when she was 4, and by 4.5 she was reading chapter books. Her love for reading was sowed in Room 4 by her teachers (Ms.Margo and Ms. April), and even after 6 years she is still passionate about books. At Aurora Montessori, She was provided stimulating environment, guidance to learn and space to grow and be an independent learner. Fast forward 4 years, with out any further research we went to the same school same room for our second child thinking if that worked for one child, it will work for the next (though he is polar opposite of his sister when it comes to learning methods). One of the teachers left with in few months. This concerned us, however we wanted to give the new teacher a chance. With in 2 weeks, the new teacher Ms. Anna understood his need for movement in learning and incorporated it in his work, checked out super heroes books from library to engage him in reading. Many small things like this helped him blossom. Well enough that the psychologist who tested him last year and this year asked this year "which school does he go to? The school has done a wonderful job". Ms. Anna also tries out different things, (like music time, 100th day party) in the classroom and the school management encourages that. Ms. Aruna and Ms. Manasi are very supportive. For his kindergarten year, the school created a perfect combination of Montessori teaching and school readiness program. Thanks to the kindergarten teacher Ms.Amy, he talks about experiments, blood cells, how to look in a map and more. He brings home his learning ideas and tries it out in different ways, and occasionally engages the whole family in his home experiments. One evening he is the orchestra conductor at home and we are his troupe. Next time we get to be helpers in his home experiments. Dance, Music, Art, Steam are all part of the curriculum. Each field trip is carefully thought out to be both engaging and stimulating. I discussed with the teachers what we are focusing on. For our daughter it was reading, and for our son it was responding to questions. If there is anything specific you need for your child, please have the conversation early on. Set realistic goals for your child with the teacher. We are blessed to have found different teachers who understood our kids needs and catered to those needs. read more
