Company did nothing about the issue and their only response was that they didn't steal it. There was no one else in the apartment during the move, it's been over 6 months every box is now unpacked and the bag is absolutely not in any of the boxes and nowhere to be found. I moved all my other designer or expensive items myself and forgot this new purse because it was still in the shopping bag. I had to go to work while the movers were coming. I left the new purse which was still in the shopping bag sitting on top of a arm chair in clear site, while I was at work during the move, my partner was with the movers and was unaware that the bag was sitting on the chair so he didn't keep an eye on it. When I was off work the move was finished and when I asked my partner where the bag was, he's said he hadn't seen it. The arm chair it was sitting on was moved, and everything else was moved. The one designer item I made the mistake of leaving in my home while this company was moving my stuff was stolen. I waited to post this review as I hadn't unpacked every single box, and as a business owner I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and be sure I hadn't mistakenly packed the new purse somewhere and forgotten, now that I've unpacked EVERY SINGLE BOX I'm 100% positive that this purse was stolen by this coming. No one else was in either my old apartment or the new one asides from them. Not one other item was lost during our move, only the one designer purse. They moved my entire bachelor suite worth of items to my new 1 bedroom suite in Vancouver about 4 days ago. I wish that Leon did not yell loudly in the hallways of my new suite while I helped him move my belongings from the elevator to my suite. Very polite and I am sure he will politely respond here as he did privately. The 1/2 drive charge before and after is a cost that is being added after the fact not in original discussions. (Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time. It was the visit from the estimator that clinched it for us. Juville was so professional and thorough. Asked about things we hadn't even thought of. Made some excellent suggestions. My initial reaction to the quoted price was that it was higher than expected, but considering what the sketchy / overly complicated options were coming in at, it wasn't actually that much more. And Juville clearly knew what she was doing, which was extremely reassuring. We really appreciated that she came to our house, prepared a detailed written estimate on the spot, and left us to think about it, without any pressure. We called her back, booked the move and paid our deposit. On moving day we had the worst possible rain (and that's saying something in Vancouver). The movers were organized and professional, and the rain didn't slow them down at all. When the truck was weighed it was very close to what Juville had estimated on our written quote. Our goods arrived safely at the other end. No damage, nothing missing. For the quoted price, no surprises. I would definitely recommend Ferguson and would use them again.
