Small family place. The people are friendly depending on the day. The men are friendlier for sure. We came here for wedding suits. The price included every single piece with alterations, which was great! We chose to pay extra for zubaz lining inside the coats. I did not like that they have a kinda limited color selection. We were looking for tan/brown/beige and I think there was only like 5 shades to choose from. We finally found one we both loved and when the groomsman all went in to get fitted initially, they did try to convince my husband to pick a different suit! Eventually they called us again and said the manufacturer wasn't making the suits we wanted anymore, how convenient. We picked out new suits and they got ordered however, when they came in and nobody called to tell us so we never knew to go in to try them on for additional tailoring- we had to call them. When we went in to try them on it was about 1-2 weeks before the wedding. The inside lining we ordered extra was not sewn in yet and there were still final alterations that needing to be made with some of the arm and leg cuffs. They said come back and pick them up the week of the wedding. We went back again maybe 3 days before and still needed more alterations. The whole thing was just cutting it super close to the wedding and the amount of issues with the alterations and another one with our ring bearers suit was just so much added stress that probably could have been avoided. I would like to add though, they tailor everything, not just suits. read more

Requires deposit and then they cancel last minute. Most other places dont require a deposit. Scheduled 4 months ahead and they canceled last minute and could not guarantee they would not cancel again and refuse to refund deposit. Even though they canceled not me. read more

A friend recommended this place to my daughter. I was , of course, nervous because when you have an expensive mother of the bride dress and a wedding dress that need's alterations, you can never be to careful on who you choose to do it for you... I had Tom measuring my dress and my daughter had Luigi working on her wedding dress and let me tell you on what great people they are. I stumbled upon this Tailor shop and I have to say what a lovely little shop it is!! The people were so friendly. They made a beautiful vest for my husband out of specialty material that I brought to them and they did it in record time so that I could give it to him for Christmas. While I was there one of the owners of the shop help me pick out a couple of ties that would perfectly match the vest which could be worn under a suit jacket. I wonder if many people just a few short months ago would have considered an Italian tailor Tom & Luigi's manufacturing of Zubaz printed face masks to be "off brand". Likewise, I suppose many may have considered the fact that a mere mustached plumber could've saved the princess from King Koopa to have also been ridiculous, so for me, I'll avoid allowing a repeat of history's incredulousness and go with it. After all, my-oh-my has the world changed. Drive right up to the shop and you'll be greeted at the door by Mr. Tom Collana (or in your car where you sit like a weirdo like I was). It's not just good customer service on Mr. Collana's behalf, it's also a necessity in the interest of public health, as it's preferred you wait outside. The tailored masks, and a variety of not handmade masks hang in the window for viewing and sale. I went with the Zubaz printed mask (obviously), but also purchased a variety of other masks for the wife and kids. In fact, I bought a La Nova Pizza Buffalo Bills neck gaiter that Mr. Collana split in two and tailored so it could fit my kid's tiny heads. I find that easier for the kids to use, as I just call my kids by their ninja names and tell them to pull their masks up when appropriate (my daughter's name is "Master Elephant"). Absolutely fantastic here. Great friendly family service. I dropped four pairs of pants off, they said 1 week, which was completely fine with me. They called me 2 days later and they were done. I went to pick them up, and 1 pair needed a small tweak, so they did it while I waited and even made me an espresso. They have accessories for sale, along with suits, shirts, ties, cuff links, and masks. I will only go here for all of my tailoring needs. Very highly recommend! read more

I gave Tom and Luigi's Tailor Shop after hearing about it from the hair salon I go to. The shop when you enter has an Italian posh feel with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, etc playing in the background with their pictures hanging up on the wall. Tom helped assist with my alterations of shorten sleeves on a wool pea coat and shortening pairs of pants that needed to be hemmed. Tom was helpful and made sure I was satisfied before leaving my items to be hemmed. I received my items a few days later and everything was perfect. My wedding dress needed minor alterations (hemming and shortened straps), which took an extra month for them to do. I wasn't too bothered by this, honestly, because that still gave me weeks before my actually wedding. Every few days, I'd call, and they would tell me to call back in a few more days. I said I'd be there two days before my wedding to pick up the dress. When I arrived, I learned that they still had not touched my wedding dress. At this point, I didn't have options. I couldn't find a seamstress or tailor to do an emergency job on my dress, so I agreed to to return the following day (the day before my wedding) to pick up the finished dress. AGAIN, the dress was not done. The dress was finally finished the night before my wedding, as I personally waited for it to be done. I missed out on my own pre-wedding celebrations because of this incident. Luigi had condescendingly explained that the trouble was that there were just too many jobs to be done because their prices are so low. He told me that I had to be patient, as if the literal months of extra time I allowed him wasn't evidence of my patience. In the end, they caused me so much stress and time driving to and from their storefront when I should have been focusing on other matters and enjoying time spent with my family and friends. I would warn anyone, especially someone with a deadline like a wedding or prom, to avoid Tom and Luigi's like the plague. Yes, their prices are lower than local competitors, but you should also set your expectations equally as low. Do yourself a favor and bring your garments to someone else, even if they're pricier. The extra cash will save you the headaches and stress of not having your wedding dress ready the night before you walk down the aisle. read more

I am a petite woman so, needless to say, I need alterations a lot! Recently I stepped into a man's world and was issued a Class A uniform that was a one-size-fits-all that looked absolutely silly on me. Someone even giggled at me when I first walked out of the changing room! (I don't blame her, I laughed with her!) I was back and forth to the shop at least four times and the patience and understanding that was shone to me was very much appreciated! For starters they just refurbished their store and it looks fantastic; very chic and modern interior. They are very conversational and down to earth people! They are clearly very busy which attests to their high quality. Took my pants pants in to have new elastic put in waistband, the lady wasn't very friendly, or professional. never a hello, or thank you. Receipt said by April 11. Called April 25, was told not done yet. Waited a week more, on May 2, just went to get my pants. She went back and came out and said did we call you! I said no, I just want my pants back. Then she went into the back room, and returned after 5 minute, with my finished pants. it was clear to me that my pants had just gotten done! For being there a month, it only took 5 minutes, they don't value my business. I do not recommend this business! read more

I picked it up August 15th and my wedding is August 17th, the owner said this was harder then they thought?!! Why isn't this your job? There was strings hanging on the back as asked him to remove. If I can give this place a Zero star rating I would! Horrible service, rude workers and to top it off they botched ever dress (3) that we had them take care of. My sisters dress took months to come in from the bridal shop so once we had it I called Luigi's and asked how long he would need. He told me 4 weeks. They wouldn't make an apt for us so the following day we brought the dress in first thing in the morning. He pinned everything as needed and told my sister he would have it done Tuesday July 30, made her an apt. That day my sister came in and not a single thing was done to the dress everything was pinned in the exact same spot. So my sister took a half day of work for absolutely nothing. At this time I also dropped off my bridesmaid dress for a hem and to have my straps adjusted, they charged me over 100 and didn't even hem the dress correctly, and did a sloppy job on the straps. My sisters wedding was Friday August 30th. I called Tuesday the 20th for a status on both dresses and was told they would be calling us by the end of the week. Well the end of the week came and no phone call. So since they aren't open Monday's I called Tuesday and was told they still were not done. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he would call me by the end of the day, shocking no phone call. Wednesday morning my mother came into the shop and neither of our dresses were done yet. She flat out told them they better be ready today, and said she would be back with my sister to try on her dress today! Of course I was unable to come at this time so my sister picked mine up. When I tried it on the original stitching was still on the bottom of the dress. They only hemmed one of the two layers of my dress. And as stayed earlier did a sloppy job on my straps. It's is unbelievable that they would tell customers time frames and not stick with them. And it is completely unacceptable that 2 days before the wedding after having my sisters wedding dress for over 8 weeks it wasn't completed. I am going to attach a few pictures, the back they cut and didn't even cut it straight strings were hanging off it was a complete botch job because they waited till the last minute to take care of her dress. I will never ever come back to this business, and I would highly recommend if your reading this you don't either. It was extremely stressful. If Luigi didn't think he could complete the dress prior to a day before the wedding and correctly he should have said that, instead of being greedy and taking every job that walks into the shop. Literally would give this place a -5 stars if I could! I've never made a review before and I'm not a person to do stuff like this but I've never had such a bad experience in my life! I'm getting married on September 6th, I brought my dress here in the beginning of July (as soon as it came in from the dress shop) and from the second I walked in there I had bad experiences. I spoke with the older Italian man on the phone, he set up an appointment and when I came in the lady at the desk claims there was no appointment for me. The younger man took me anyway. I was alone and no one offered to help me put my dress on. Once it was on, the young man told me he didn't understand why the dress shop sold this style dress to me and fought me on everything I said I wanted to get done. It made me so upset and I was about to take the dress somewhere else but I decided I would give them a chance since I was referred to them by the dress shop. They told me they would start alterations and I could come back on August 4th. When I came back they only did part of the alterations they said they were going to do. They began to pin my dress for the rest of the alterations but kept saying they couldn't do certain things. When someone takes something to get alterations, especially a wedding dress you expect the tailor to know exactly what to do and not be unsure of things. They again, made me feel unsure of everything and made me nervous. It was my fault to continue to leave my dress there at this point. I just kept telling myself it will all be fine. They scheduled me to come back August 15th, when I called a few days before I couldn't get ahold of them. The phone kept going to voicemail, busy signal or a strange recording. My fiancé eventually called them, got through and was told I could come in Friday the 16th and to call Thursday to confirm. I called Thursday and had the same issues not being able to get them to answer. I left multiple voicemails. On Friday I called a bunch of times again, still couldn't get through. They finally called me back and said the dress still hadn't been worked on and they would call me back later today to have me come in that day or Saturday. I never got a call back. I called Saturday, and exact same issues, could not get through. When I finally got them to answer, he told me it still hadn't been touched and to call back Tuesday or Wednesday if I don't hear by then. I finally got so fed up that I went to the store on Tuesday and took my dress. I am in disbelief with the complete rudeness, neglect and unprofessionalism that I have dealt with. My wedding is in less than 3 weeks and they haven't even started on my dress! I know have my dress at Chaybans and thankfully they are able to get everything done by next week. So much stress has been put on me because of this and I feel it's necessary for people to know what kind of business they are. They made me feel horrible about myself in my wedding dress and kept blowing me off. They would give me attitude and always sound annoyed when I spoke with them. I'm really not sure how they are in business or how anyone could give them a decent rating. I highly recommend never going there. Worst company ever.... read more

Honest, friendly people who always do great work at a fair price. They could probably use a few more hands helping out there, especially during busy wedding season. I've had lots of items altered here and am always happy with their work and the price paid. I do think the wait time was a bit excessive for some of the jobs I had done though, and they didn't always answer the phone when I called for an update. I took my leather vest in to have a patch sewn on.Talked to the father he said $8.00 for the job,which i thought was cheap.I asked him if i can wait, can he do it right away i would give him $20.00 . Brides save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. They had my wedding dress for minor alterations for 8 weeks and two days before my wedding they had done nothing to my dress. When I dropped it off they told me 4 weeks and even scheduled me an apt. When I went for that scheduled apt they had no idea they were even expecting me although it was printed on my receipt. At that time when they had not done a single thing and wastes my time of having to take a half day at work for the apt I should have taken my dress and went elsewhere. We called several times and when we were able to get someone on the phone they were rude and nasty. When I was able to get my dress (230pm on Wednesday when I was getting married on Friday) my dress looked terrible. The bottoms up the back that they were taking in was super uneven, they cut it and left the extra buttons. The sleeves that they were taking in had strings everywhere and the extra lace still inside caused itching all night. They didn't even hem the dress. They should be ashamed of themselves, the owner didn't even have the guts to come out and apologize when we went to pick the dress up, he hid in the back. They need to not be so greedy and take every job that walks through the door, and focus on the jobs that they already agreed too. read more

I had previously had a good experience and went here to have a bridesmaids dress altered. It was a disaster. I took the dress in to have the straps and hem shortened and picked it up approximately a week later. I should have tried it on in store, but did not. When I got home, I knew that something was very wrong - it didn't fit, it looked funny on, and generally looked very off. After looking up the item online from where I purchased it from, it was clear that they had sewn the straps together incorrectly. I called and was told to bring it back in. I brought it in as soon as they opened the following morning to be fixed. It was fixed when I came back, but they not only refused to give me a refund for any of the cost of tailoring, but also made light of the fact that there was such an obvious mistake made in the first place. I explained that I had to go out of my way, had to come back an extra two times and that it was very stressful for a gown I needed for a wedding in just a few days. Nevertheless, they were not even apologetic for their blatant mistake and just kept telling me, "things like this happen." So, unless you would like things like this to happen to your items, I would not recommend taking anything there. read more
