THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! We have been a returning customer and always try to give benefit of the doubt. We were told an hour wait for staff to go through sort and select what they can buy. Staff claimed they were also "busy today and are currently selective on infant clothes". They picked out three shirts OUT OF TWO DIAPER SIZE BOXES INCLUDES 4 PAIRS OF SHOES and gave us $10. I promise you there was a couple pairs of clothes in the boxes that were never worn before! Also more than half of those clothes were not stained or torn etc. Clearly the staff told us to kick rocks and didn't actually want to do their job. Staff are most often friendly and welcoming. A couple of times I've encountered some not-so-happy workers, but that happens anywhere. I love that I can take my childrens' clothes, shoes, bags, toys, books, etc. here and get some cash on the spot. It's also great that they take all seasons year-round. They don't pay very much for what they purchase, but it definitely takes out the hassle of selling stuff yourself. Plus they often run promos so you can usually score a pretty good deal on second hand items. Tip: bring your ID if you are going to sell. read more

I felt an update to my previous review was warranted since I have now begun selling items here as well as shopping. Most recently I brought in a large tote and only a handful of items were accepted. The items they took were some matching infant outfits (nearly new condition) and Buffalo themed items. The items they did not accept were lots of infant pants, onesies, pajamas (all nearly new condition with no flaws, so I don't know if they just had an overabundance of these things?) and some older children's clothes that were denied based on being too dated/out of style. I had way better luck as a seller at Kid to Kid. I found some nice gently used toys and clothes but some of the clothing prices were much too high. They had a great selection of bigger kids' clothing but I couldn't justify paying $4.50 for Target brand leggings or $8.50 for an Old Navy dress. They have a lot of shoes but most had mud caked to the soles so no thanks. I will return but likely only if they send a good coupon offer. read more

This place is extremely overpriced and the staff is never friendly. It's literally like $6-$10 for pajamas. Every experience I've had in there has been underwhelming. I will say it is a clean facility and the way things are laid out, it's very easy to find the sizes you are looking for but those are pretty much the only positives. Go to kid to kid instead. I seriously cannot believe I had not heard about this place until the other day! I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've been in this plaza and not visited "Once Upon a Child". This store is truly amazing! It's like the high end thrift store shopping at amazing prices! When you first start looking around this store - you might think everything is new, but it's not. I have never seen this many perfect children's clothing at these prices in my entire lifetime and trust me - I shop a lot! If you have a limited budget or you are just plain smart and need some children's clothing - size new born to 16 - this is a place you need to check out. Though the larger the sizes the less selection - it's a must stop from baby to perhaps size 6 - though I found plenty for my grandson size 8! From books, to games to clothing and furniture - I couldn't believe the prices and how clean and organized everything was. My DIL has told my wife and I that we can't buy more clothes because my grandson already has too many, but this store puts an end to that. Not only do they sell slightly used children's clothing at extremely low prices - I'm talking Yard Sale prices and sometimes less - they also will buy slightly used children's clothing, toys, books, footwear and baby gear - giving you some CASH back in your hand! This is a win win for everyone and I'm sure it will become one of our normal stops on the shopping trips - I will probably be the "Duke" of "Once Upon a Child"! This location is super clean and the staff is very friendly! They have a wide selection of very nice clothing and toys, accessories etc. the store was bright and fresh smelling and very organized! They have this awesome text club you can enter to get money off your first visit and then they send out VIP offers! read more

I do love this store I basically live there. However, for a pair of target leggings (that I priced in store moments before) were 4$ at Target and 3.50 used at once upon a child. They do not have a selection worth mentioning for 3T girls items which is disappointing. After spending 100's there I only received a few points & 10% off. Also I took in brand new Nike baby sneakers & only received $3.50 for them to turn around & go back in to see them marked for 12$. The size was mislabeled on 2 pairs of shoes I purchased & they wouldn't give me my money back only offered store credit. I will continue to pop in & out of the store if there are deals but that will be the only time. read more

Was there for the first time today and let me tell you...my experience was great! The girls working were so awesome and nice. We even got help carrying in our totes. The payout was good and the store is super organized and on top of that it smelled really nice. Will be back for sure. read more

Don't be mad that they don't spend a ton to buy your used clothes. Even with the tags the clothes were in your environment and not in a retail setting free of smoke and animal dander, therefore your "new" clothes are USED! This place provides great clean products at more than fair prices. Keep in mind when they buy or don't buy your clothes their decision is based on the need for your style clothing as well as its cleanliness. So this place buys your used clothing and then resells it. I took in a bunch of my daughters clothing she no long used. Included in this lot of clothing was 2 pairs of brand new shorts from penny's with tags still on them. I bought them at the end of last summer for this summer thinking my daughter would be able to fit into them but she grew faster then I had thought. Anyhow after the worker went through my clothing she gave back what she didn't want to purchase telling me that the items she didn't purchased were overused. She gave me back the two pairs of shorts with tags the shorts were brand-new how in the heck are they overused? If she didn't think the shorts where right for her store she should have told me that! They have tons of baby items but very little in bigger kid clothing. I left with a little over $20 in my hand for a bag of clothing they did want. Sad that they didn't buy items that where perfect, I have them on ebay now. Guess this place is hit or miss. read more
