I went for a routine checkup and cleaning last week, but wasn't as satisfied with the services. A brief google search led me to here and I had a follow up visit 3 days after my initial visit at my previous dental office and am happy to say I'm back under the care of Dr. Simon! I was seen at Aurora Village back in September of 2025 and was told I'd need another crown, and 4+ fillings for cavities. At the time, I was in the process of moving back to California and couldn't schedule the follow ups, and thank god for that because it would have been a waste of money. After my appointment at the new office here in CA, I was told that 2 of the recommended fillings from Aurora Village's medical files were never necessary and were actually just stains on the tooth. The third was actually damage on the side of my tooth from one of the other cleanings/fillings that I did have done at Aurora Village. Makes me wonder if any of the VERY expensive procedures I got from them were ever necessary. Is it fraud if you prescribe unnecessary services to a patient? Either way I don't recommend this practice for your dental needs simply on the basis of trusting the providers to recommend necessary or even correct treatments. read more

Had one botched crown here from a provider that literally left the state the day after she completed the procedure. Thankfully, Dr. Sears was able to fix the mistake for free. However, her "fix" involved another crown that was too long (not flush with the rest of the height of my teeth) and chipped one of the teeth on the bottom of my jaw. And it also got infected, so here i am getting another root canal at another dentist at 9am on a Monday morning. Don't trust these people with your dental health. read more

Doctor Sears is great, but the dental hygienist was terrible. I couldn't tell if she said hello-how are you? She had a mask on and I couldn't hear what she was saying. She had her earbuds in the entire time, I felt like she wanted to be somewhere else not to be doing her job. I came away with a terrible feeling, I've never been treated so badly by a dental hygienist in my life and will not be going back to her at all. She may be the only dental hygienist, if she is, I'll go to another dentist. read more

I haven't been for a cleaning since July 2020. At that appointment I was uncomfortable getting x-rays done because I was overall uncomfortable being at the dentist during COVID (being maskless, in close proximity to people). I was harassed for not getting x-rays and told the dentist's licensure could be impacted (is that even true?). I stood my ground, and found a new dentist to see in 2021. But today I got an email reminder for an Aurora Village dentist appointment this month that I did not even make. When I called about the appointment, I was told it was made 6 months ago. Again, I haven't been there in a year. In earlier Aurora Village appointments they tried to bill my insurance for things that were denied, like their extensive x-rays and oral hygiene instruction. I have never been billed for oral hygiene instruction by any other dentists. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Every aspect of my visit was TERRIBLE! They were incredibly rude and mean, they pressured me into getting all this additional stuff done because they told me my teeth were in a terrible state (they weren't) I CRIED they were so awful. They told me all the additional stuff was covered by my insurance, turns out it wasn't but also I got it confirmed by my insurance that they NEVER EVEN RAN MY INSURANCE. I visited here for the first time today. I selected it because it was within my insurance network. I've been to quite a few dental offices in the past 5 years and this was by far my favorite. I appreciated the music playing the whole time; it gave the office a more casual vibe. I was impressed with the quality of their care and their emphasis on comfort ability of the client. All 3 staff members I interacted with were cheerful and friendly. They were very open and transparent with me from start to finish and answered all of my questions with ease. I can't even begin to describe the terrible experiences I've had here because there have been so many horrible things that have happened. To begin I'll say that I've been trying to refund money into my account for almost 2 months and the front desk lied to me every time to try and get me out of their hair. They lied and said they'll send me a check, told me they were looking into it and were going to call me back, told me they refunded the money to my card. It wasn't until I called back today that I had the money refunded. These people are the definition of scammers. They will nickel and dime you all while lying to your face with a smile. They overcharged me so much for a simple cleaning and x rays that I had no more insurance left and my next dentist gave me free x rays because the ones they took were too blurry to use. All while lying about having to extract a perfectly healthy tooth. They also told me that all of my wisdom teeth were impacted and infected - none of that was true. It doesn't end there! They filled in a cavity~at this point I'm not even convinced I had a cavity~ and it has been hurting to chew on that tooth ever since. I went back to resolve the issue and instead of taking an x ray of their botched work they shaved down my tooth and made it even worse. My new dentist took an x ray and it showed a sharp point from the fill in that was hitting my gums every time I chewed Not only are they scammers but they are also HORRIBLE dentists read more

Been here a few times & ended up w/young staff that's eager & friendly, but don't have enough experience to know what they're doing. That costs you. Plus there are other small but not-great things about this place that added up to me going elsewhere eventually. Some of it's relatively innocuous, like recommending to-the-max care you prob find out about in dental school but isn't really needed for your average patient. Some people may find this helpful, for me it caused a lot of extra $$ and worry for things it turns out I didn't need to worry about, according to different dentists with much more experience I saw later. Like others mentioned, this place overbills & said things were covered by insurance that weren't. Some of it's more worrying, like having a tooth mold so overfilled that it goes way down the back of your throat, nearly choked. Ended up OK but the young guy doing it was supposed to be supervised by dentist with more experience but he wasn't around checking. BTW had that mold thing done other places in the past, yes they get overfilled but not by this much. Other things that were minor & normally I wouldn't mind much, but they contribute to a bigger picture: - completely dirty floors in the patient rooms couple times I went. Not the end of the world, tools were wrapped--but def makes you wonder about how clean other stuff is here - had a late-in-the-day appointment, the dentists kind of cut the appointment short. Again not a huge deal b/c it was mostly about after-care demonstration stuff & I get wanting to go home ASAP at the end of your workday--but the instruction stuff was something I had before in other appointments with them that were earlier in the day, this time def seemed that the dentists just wanted to go home early instead of doing due diligence read more

Recently had a great visit with Dr. Wu. She was caring and put me at ease. Using the 3D X-ray (CBCT) she pin pointed the source of my sensitivity and put together a plan to get it addressed. I wanted a second opinion due to my terrible experience here. When I went to another dentist they did not find any cavities. Amazed there are not more negative reviews for this place. I visited Aurora Village Dental Group in Early September 2023. I went to them because they were listed as preferred providers for my dental insurance. I was in Aurora when my bridge came off. I was scheduled later that month with my usual dentist which is not in Colorado. I only needed to reattach my bridge. I was told the price to do so would be $700 but since I had dental insurance it would only be $250. I needed it done, so I proceeded with the treatment. Their re-cementing of my bridge lasted less than 48 hours, and the bridge came out again. To their credit they game me a temporary patch kit in the event that happened. However, in my opinion this should not have occured since I followed the recommended time before eating and drinking afterward. And I was not chewing anything, like sticky taffy candy that would have pulled the bridge off. I won't be going back to that dental office if I need a dentist in Aurora. And for your information, my regular dentist charge me $30 to re-cement the bridge in place. read more

I'm new to the area and started visiting Dr. Simon's office last year. Recently I had a crown put in by Dr. Simon and it couldn't have gone any better. I was very impressed with how well everyone worked together and took care of everything. The crown was made onsite by a machine and you can watch it carve out a brand new tooth from a block of ceramic right in front of your eyes. The crown work also ended up costing less than I was originally quoted which was a pleasant surprise. I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a dentist. Excellent team. read more

I'm pretty torn on what to rate Aurora Village Dental Group. In a nutshell, I received a flyer in the mail and decided to give their "$59 special" a try, as my current dentist has a 1-2 month wait time for cleanings. I submitted an appointment request through their website and never heard a thing. A few days later, I called in and talked with a very friendly person to book an appointment. Everything, including the online medical history form, was easy to complete. I got to the appointment and it's certainly a beautiful new office with nice, new equipment and amenities. Everyone a dealt with, including the receptionist, x-ray technician, dentist and hygienist were all extremely nice and friendly. What a great place so far! I had been looking for a long-term switch. The disappointment started to set in when talking with the dentist about "other things I'd be interested in." I have a small tooth chip whose filling needs to be replaced every ~2 years or so, and wanted to get a quote to get it done again. The dentist, although truly friendly and knowledgeable, started to feel much less like she was listening to me, and much more in either sales mode or "perfection" mode. The ~$200 filling to fill a little chip now turned into a strong sales-pitch from her and the receptionist / sales person (awkwardly in the room as well) for 4 crowns at around $4400! Are you kidding me? I could replace the $200 filling once a year for 20 years and still be ahead! The dentist and sales person just brushed it off, making the filling seem like the idiot's choice....rather than having a rational, professional discussion of the options. The great visit then started to feel much more like a cheesy, high-pressure sales discussion in the finance manager's office of a car dealer....all (literally) while I was sitting in the dentist's chair! I was pitched a cheesy pseudo-insurance plan so that their sky-high prices were more in line with my other dentist. $1300+ for a crown!?! With our $111 plan, it's only $800-something! There were 10% off flyers, the dentist's business card in the "gift bag" I got had a $50 off coupon on the back. Is this a business for --medical care-- or Dealin' Doug's / Frontier Airlines dental? Although super friendly and modern, this just didn't feel like a business seeking a long-term relationship with its patients...er....customers. It felt much more like a "seek out opportunities for additional short-term revenue and pitch hard" place. I won't be back, unfortunately. read more

They were all very sweet and very professional and made me love going to the dentist!! I am very thankful for the lovely staff and I can't wait to come back to get my teeth cleaned!
