I was super nervous about that thanks to horror stories online but it was gentle, fast, and the work looks pristine! I'm in little to no pain, alert, and was out within a little over an hour. I scheduled back-to-back appointments for my husband and I, fully transparent about the fact that we would have our toddler with us. Was told that would not be an issue! My appointment was for 8 o'clock and my husband's appointment was set for 8:30. They came out to get him at 9. When my husband expressed concern about bringing our toddler back, without my appointment being done, he was told it would be fine. However, still feeling uncomfortable, he chose to reschedule--and was initially told that was acceptable. When I came out my appointment at 9:15, and didn't see my husband in the waiting room I inquired where he was? The receptionist told me that he had left because he did not want to bring the toddler back with him and that he can reschedule. When I inquired about whether or not he could pop back up now, since it was only 915, I was told no that his appointment was slated to end at 9:30 (even though he had just left the waiting area less than 15 minutes previously). The receptionist offered an appointment for Tuesday, and I said I could not accept it without conferring with him. When I got to the car and he said it would be OK, I called up to the desk and set the appointment. No issues. What we didn't expect was to have the new appointment canceled minutes after via text with the explanation that "Dr. Eric was unhappy that we lost an hour appointment on our schedule this morning" and that they needed to accommodate other patients on their waiting list instead. I did call and speak with the office manager, who basically informed me that I did not schedule back to back appointments instead, I scheduled staggered appointments which is different. She told me that Dr. Eric heard my husband say he was going to reschedule and heard the whole conversation and it was his call to make. As I explained to the office manager, when I spoke to the doctor at the end of my appointment, he made no mention he wasn't going to see my husband. I know it's a moot point because we won't be continuing with them anyway due to moving, but still--their response felt unnecessarily punitive. While we understand the importance of keeping a full schedule, patient comfort and flexibility should also be prioritized. Had we been informed upfront that rescheduling could result in cancellation, we would have made a more informed decision. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed rather than valued as patients. Professionalism and understanding go a long way in healthcare. Sadly, this experience left us questioning whether patient care is truly the priority here.

I was hoping to get a good cleaning prior to switching dentists due to Dr Floyd leaving. The dentist Dr John Richard walked in and was nice and he did the cleaning. I do not think I've ever been in so much pain during a cleaning. I could feel how deep he was going and felt my gums bleeding and saw gauze with a lot of blood. I usually bleed a little but not like this, this was different and way more than normal. Every tooth he cleaned was extremely painful. I was trying so hard not to cry. He was finally done and was going to floss. He put the floss in and then held one end and pulled the entire string through my teeth. I've never had this done before. I felt splatter all over my face during this of blood and saliva. Then was the tooth brush cleaning, again splatter all over my face. This was finally done and I washed my mouth with water and had little clumps of blood coming out. Again this has never happened before to me. I left and wiped my face but when I got to my car I had blood stains all of my face with splatter through my chin, lower cheek, neck and even into my eyebrow. I have had plenty of cleanings in my life and have very healthy teeth with very little issues but this was the most painful and stressful cleaning I have ever had. I am not sure if he needed to get out quickly because the whole cleaning and evaluation took less than 15 mins (dentist entered at 2:20, I was in my car by 2:35) and that's why he was digging so deep or if that is just how he does it but I will not be coming back. When asking questions after, I had a very hard time finding the dentist online. No information of this dentist on the offices website and when searching for him in New York which is where I was told that his license is from, I still could not find him. I found someone in PA that looked familiar but again still was unable to find much information. I am in health care and when I research myself my license info pops up right away with locations of work and a ton of information. Very strange this is not the case with him. I will not be returning.
