Had experience using the services of the company during the wedding event. At first, there was a misunderstanding with the type of bus - instead of what we expected, the school arrived. Not exactly what I wanted to see at such a moment. As it turned out later, technically, the error was in our order, but it would be nice if this detail was spelled out more clearly. After the appeal, the situation was quickly corrected, and by the next stage of the incident we were waiting for a much more comfortable transport solution. This made a positive impression, especially considering that there was a reaction and a desire to correct the situation. The drivers were professional, the organization on the routes - without significant failures. There are things that can be improved in terms of communication and transparency in the choice of transport, but in general the experience remains rather positive. read more

The Ultimate Customer Service Story We chartered a bus and coach for our daughter's wedding in Austin on March 30th. As the Father of the Bride I was shocked when the bus that showed up to bring our guests to the church was a school bus. After the ceremony I called Abdul to address my concern. After speaking to him it became clear that in reality the mistake was ours, not his. We had chartered a "transit" bus, which when you look on the website is a school bus. I wish the contract was more specific; as "school bus" certainly would have jumped out. But live and learn. Now to the good part. With my frustration high, Abdul was calm, cool and reasonable. He immediately realized I was not happy and kicked into high gear to see what he could do. While we had to take the school bus back to the hotel, by the time we left for the reception...less than one hour later...a gleaming full scale motor coach was sitting in front of the hotel instead of a school bus. Wow! I can't thank Abdul enough for stepping up. I was thoroughly impressed. We used Austin Charter for my daughter's wedding last month and were very disappointed. They never asked which bus we wanted so we assumed we were getting a nice charter bus. They showed up in a very old school bus and crammed all of our guests in it. Then, although we paid for 8 hours, they refused to take some of our guests back early. So, we paid for them to go back and forth ONCE and sit in the parking lot the rest of the time. When I sent them an email about all of this, I got no reply. BAD customer service. read more

Absolutely wonderful to work with. I was able to make a reservation for a school bus a week before graduation weekend which was awesome. Abdul is the person I talked to the entire time and always managed to answer my calls and annoying questions. He was really nice and was willing to work with me when I asked him if the bus could come 15 minutes early because I was nervous about getting to our destination on time. He sent me a contract which listed all the details, and notified me that there is a $150 refundable deposit that I would have to pay only if someone spilled a drink and/or vomited inside the bus. He let me know the bus driver's name and her number so that if I had any questions I could contact her. He immediately mailed me the $150 check after the weekend was over - I didn't even have to ask! My husband and I booked Austin Charter Services to provide shuttle service (in the form of a white bus) for guests during our wedding in April 2016. I booked this service over a year in advance knowing that this would be a busy month. First, I'd like to commend Abdul and the rest of the staff for their professionalism throughout he planning process! Any questions that I had were quickly answered, and they worked with me on a schedule that changed a few different times. It was important to me to provide shuttle service for a guest list mostly attending from out of the state. I wanted my guests to be able to let loose without having to worry about transportation. As soon as I started researching transportation options, however, I was shocked by just how pricey some services can be. Austin Charter Services allowed me to provide transportation to my guests while still fitting into my budget! A schedule was agreed upon beforehand, and the driver provided was punctual & friendly. We were allowed to decorate and flexibility in music. I would recommend Austin Charter Services to others and would choose this company again for other transportation needs I may have. read more

BEWARE! THEY ARRIVE 35 MINUTES LATE AND WON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONES! We booked Austin Charter Services through Abdul for 2 buses from the Westin at the Domain to the Barr Mansion for our wedding guests, about 80 people. The contract was set at 5:30pm on Saturday and Abdul assured us the bus would arrive from 5 to 5:15pm just to be sure it would be on time. A few days later we called Abdul to change the time to 5:15pm and he said no problem. We wanted to make sure the buses arrived early or on time and the wedding could start without any delay from traffic or anything else. Wedding day came and not one thing went wrong except the BUSES!! Not only did they not arrive at 5:15pm, but they didn't show up at 530 either! They didn't pick up our guests until 5:50pm, 20 minutes after our contract time and 35 minutes after our verbal agreed change time. So as a non-frantic bride I calmly called Abdul at 5:35pm on my wedding day asking him why the buses hadn't arrived and he said our contract was for 5:30pm...I said what about the 5:15pm change we agreed on? He said the contract states 5:30pm....okay well its 5:35 and no drivers are there....so you promised they would get there early regardless and they are no where to be found. Abdul then hung up on me... just wow. I called back with no answer. Being a planner, I had gotten both bus driver's phone numbers previously so I called both of the drivers. No answer from EITHER of them. I was shocked that not only did I not get an explanation or apology, but he actually hung up on me. We had to delay the entire wedding because most of our guests were not there yet. Due to the bus delay - we missed our entire cocktail hour with our guests since the rest of the wedding timeline was screwed up. DO NOT USE AUSTIN CHARTER SERVICES!!!!!!!!! We did not receive an apology, a refund, or any kind of discount even though the fault was completely on them. Our wedding was still beautiful, but of all things you don't want to worry about your guests arriving on time. This is the ONLY vendor from my wedding that did not deliver (look at my other reviews) everyone else got 5 stars. For the record - here is their response to my Yelp review: "Its sad what happened on that day but it was beyond control and we are really sorry about upsetting the customer. There was a major accident with lots of traffic and many events were taking place in Austin in April. As everyone knows Austin has become top 5 in the nation for worse traffic. The guest got picked up as I had to get to the bus drivers to see where they were and had to cut the phone conversation short . In the airline industry flights get delayed for hours and passengers get stranded in the airport. However, that is not our goal to be late . Our priority is to ensure that you are comfortable, relaxed and on time. Therefore, we have set a policy and insist that folks transfer their guest 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the ceremony to prevent such an event from happening. We do several weddings a week and if we were that awful I assure you that our review would be nasty." So in closing - they may be late because Austin has lots of traffic. I hope that reinforces the issue here. A bus company should know the traffic in the area and PLAN for it by being EARLY. There was really only one job here - arrive on time and take the guests to the venue ON TIME. So if you don't care about the time frame, then the service was fine. read more

Honestly...I wish I had another star to give. Abdul was an excellent communicator. I never waited more than a few hours for a response from him. We needed 2 large charter busses for a trip out to Longhorn Caverns for our company holiday party. It was a last minute decision, and Abdul didnt have a charter available for our party. The next day, Abdul calls me back and lets us know he had a cancelation and was able to fit our needs. The booking process was simple and easy. The 2 charter busses showed up on time and were clean. We actually had lots of employees not show up for our event, so we really only needed 1 of the 2 busses we had reserved. Not only did Abdul allow us to cancel 1 of the busses on the day of the event, he also worked out a fair arrangement to where we didn't have to fit the entire bill for that bus! I used Austin Charter Services about 2 weeks ago and I must say it was wonderful. I took 35 people on our way to Lake Travis and I spoke with Abdul prior to our date and he was very kind and helpful. He set our date and told us that we had to give him a check since it was our first time in the mail box and I agreed. Gave him the cost he asked and it was fairly good. We told him that we needed one bus to come at 10:30 and he agreed, not only did the bus come on time he personally gave me the bus drivers number so we can contact him and ask them where they are. No problem with our bus, the driver Lori was really friendly and it was a great experience. On our way back we had a wonderful time and everyone loved it. Abdul later on called me to thank us for using his services and I could not have been more thrilled. It was my first time using a bus service and my friends all loved it, so I was happy. We booked two 44-person buses and one 29-person bus from Austin Charter Services. Based on our research, ACS had the most reasonable prices, but the quality of service they provide is still top notch! We worked with Abdul during the planning process, and he was very responsive and accommodating. He answered our emails within hours, and he was always available to speak with us via phone. The week of the wedding we were provided with the names and cell phone numbers of all the drivers as well as the email and phone number of an on-call contact person. I thought this was a great because it made sure that we were all on the same page. On the day of the wedding, the drivers were wonderful! The drivers were timely and our guests were on time for all events. Also, they were very patient and accommodating to our guests. They would adjust their schedules accordingly and make additional trips to ensure that all guests were transported to the various sites. Before the wedding, I was the most concerned about transportation because I just wasn't sure how ACS would handle our guests, whether our guests would be on time, and what would happen if guests got left behind.
