Driver just left us in Austin when we had to return to Houston because diabetic passenger needed to have food in the vehicle. There was no information about food on the lengthily website FAQ. Driver told his boss that we were " belligerent" , called the cops on us and then drove away before they got here. Horrible business, not trustworthy, vehicle was filled with dirty paper towels. Driver was all over the road and was swerving making the initial ride to Austin bad Driver was paid for a full day of transport and car was triple booked him for the day, if I pay for the day I should get the day. 0/10 recommendation. read more

I hired Austin Private Car Service in May 2023 to transport a VIP, who did not want to deal with Austin traffic or parking, from a northern suburb to a downtown meeting venue. I found them online, engaged them online, and have actually never spoken to anyone there. That said, they did everything they said they would and communicated perfectly. They arrived early, texted me once they were on site, kept my VIP happy and delivered him safely. The price charged was fair. (Obviously, a private car service is not the cheapest mode of ground transportation.) It was worth it. I cannot say enough great things about our experience. We used them to pick up a group of girls from the airport and drive us to an Air BnB for a bachelorette party. The Air BnB was about a half hour from the airport. We had 12 people all with luggage and/or a personal item/carryon. Communication leading up to the event (in addition to my many calls with questions before even booking) was timely and informative. They brought us ice for our cocktails (we provided the booze but they offered to stop at a store also for an additional fee). Heavy traffic during rush hour on a Thursday but we had a great time! Ken picked up myself and my group at 7:30am in Houston Tx. I was the first to go outside to greet him and tell him we were almost ready. He was stuffing his face with a breakfast taco in the front seat and told me we need to hurry up. Very poor first impression which ending up being spot on with the type of person he was. Very erratic driving otw to our destination but we made good time. At the time of our pickup we were running behind and I went out several times to let him know we were finishing up the event we had put on for the community of Buda/Austin TX. He made it very clear that we needed to "get our stuff and get in the van now" if we wanted to make it home. He claimed we were bullying him.. with what collateral? We were the ones relying on him for a ride back to our families. Our group only got upset when a diabetic was told there is no food allowed in the vehicle. He said someone left an empty bowl in the van and that it almost ruined his clients between us. When we boarded there were dirty snot rags in the back of the van already. Upon leaving we had food delivered for our ride back since no one had eaten and one of us is a diabetic. Not once were we told we couldn't have food. Ken was already pissed off bc we were 10-15 minutes behind on departure. Gym owner and employees kept telling us he was steaming outside and yelling on his ear piece. When he saw the food he blew up and threatened to leave us here if we brought the food aboard. We got on board anyway and he called the cops and took off. We were threatened, Bryan the gym owner called Ken After he left and he stated "if they smear me on social media I will destroy them, that's what I do" police were on scene while this happened. Bryan put his phone on speaker for the cops to hear and asked him to say that again however he did not and hung up. Very bad business, I am in shock this guy is actually employed. The driver was so rude and responded in this situation too fast. Some passengers might not know the details of the terms and conditions about food. The food was packed in a box (to-go) from a restaurant and was not eaten in the car. However, there was some odor. We thought about ways to seal the smell or throw the food out, so we touched the car-cooler to look inside, but we had not decided to put any food in it yet. The driver suddenly slapped the cooler lid while driving. Finally, we decided to throw the food out in a few minutes from leaving and we were able to follow the terms and conditions. This company is OVER PRICED and when I found other arrangements, I called within 24 hrs and asked (before cancelling) if I could cancel and I was told by the owner that I could and there would be no fees. Minutes later I received an email that I would be charged 50%!!!!. When I called he said, "sorry my bad." How tacky is that? He would not consider even consider a one-time refund.
