Best cardiologist in Central Texas. Dr Todd Gage!…read moreExceptional care! The office team is very efficient and very effective. They collect your payment upfront so that once you see the doctor you are free to go. Dr. Gage always comes in like he has all the time in the world. He reviews your cardiac system and open to the discussion for any potential issues that may be occurring. He does a comprehensive review of all medications and answers any questions. As busy as they are you wouldn't think that the atmosphere would be so relaxed, but it is! This time there was a discussion that ensued related to the cardiac stress test that Tom is due for per the American heart Association guidelines. When Dr. Gage found out that times negativity was related to the physical portion of the stress test he advised there is also a chemical stress test that can be taken. I was glad that he brought This option up as I think Tom will be able to see his way clear to having that. The med techs there are also spot on. The hubby has to get an EKG every six months that correlates with his follow up and the med techs there are very able and proficient. Probably sounds kind of funny to take a treat to the cardiology office but Tom has always drop Dan with round rock donuts for them and I suspect he will do that again this holiday season since I am not planning on baking this year. That's it for now. We highly recommend this cardiologist group and Dr. Gage in particular

The staff likes jokes and it made it all much more light. The treatment is odd and comical sounding when you first hear of it, but it helped my husband immensely. Worth office by phone was outstanding, commendable.

Legacy is very professionally run, and all the folks at Legacy I dealt with were great to fantastic. I even got a suggestion to test for sleep apnea there that none of several doctors had thought of. Lo and behold I did indeed have a mild case, a very good thing to fix to get healthy. If you have a heart condition you owe it to yourself to research EECP. For many, many people, with diet and exercise and lifestyle changes supporting, it can help the body create a natural bypass that makes a stent or bypass surgery unnecessary. It is a crying shame that it is not used more often as the FIRST resort for more people - saving surgery as the last resort.

Sadly, I don't recommend his office to anyone, because my experience has been so bad. I had an appointment this morning and it was cancelled. No one called me to tell me. I called the office staff and was transferred (because I had to call twice) to voicemails (including the office manager's voicemail). I'll be interested to see if she returns my call. I was told by the office staff that I was contacted several times by his supervisor in an effort to cancel my appointment. This is an outright lie. I have their number on my phone, and nobody called me. In addition, I received my check-in online yesterday morning (Sunday), so truly nobody called me. I am seriously considering changing doctors, only for this reason. I really like Dr.Gage and would like to keep him as my cardiologist, but this is getting unreasonable and stressing me out for no reason. To make matters worse, I have called his medical assistant several times. When I have been able to get through, the assistant has been very nice. Unfortunately, when no one is available, no one answers and there is no voicemail. This is inappropriate for a cardiologist's office. At the very least, there should be a voicemail set up.

He made…read morean elderly patient with history of cardiac surgery, brought in by ambulance for a heart attack literally wait 24 hours prior to seeing the patient for the first time even though the ER doctor had tried diligently to care for the patient and had ordered studies and tests be performed urgently in order to get the cardiologist to handle the patient's care without delay. When contacted to see why he had neglected to see the patient or read the studies, he started yelling profusely and hung up the phone!!! Humility is certainly not Dr. Karnati's forte; in fact, his arrogance and unprofessional mannerisms are beyond anything anyone has experienced before!! Stay away from cardiac care in Lakeway by this atrocious physician, and demand the ambulance to take you to a reputable hospital with reputable physicians, like any of the St.David's hospitals or Seton facilities who allow only the best specialist. Dr. Karnati is an embarrassment to the field of medicine and should ponder on the ramifications of his behavior since it can only be described as an absolute disgrace!

Again waiting until another half hour and seven minutes, then finally seen by the cardiologist and after a SHORT-but fair consultation; leaving the office after another eight minutes with the actual doctor. I know that a specialty doctors'office sees various patients with all kinds of afflictions, yet felt a bit dissed of the wait, no empathy and left feeling "cheated out of my consideration/time like all typical Medicaid patients". The office is efficient, fairly friendly, yet did not feel my "business" was welcomed. Not one simple acknowledgement of the time I checked in, waited, consulted or how quickly I was escorted to checkout. I did see/ hear of other non-medicaid patients that arrived after and left before; kind of disappointed. I have never spent more than an hour at any specialty doctor, unless I actually had something more serious present at the time. I recommend that somehow there would be a simple message or acknowledgement to patients when they are to be at the office more than an hour.
